Story - I agree that the story is not solid. At first it takes a couple weird turns. It's unexpected. They are not swimmers. This is not about a swim team. However I think the different tangents the storyline goes off on helps introduce the characters really well and more importantly what kind of world Nack or Chimon (actor name) lives in. There is also a part about his devout Christian mother, but this storyline remains unfinished. I don't know if I like that or dislike that because it's a controversial storyline anyways.
The story overall is GOOD. The ending is not really happy or unhappy. It has a lesson at the end, but it is up to the viewer whether to agree with it or not. The story is DEFNITELY enjoyable though if you're here for some BL. It's also a smooth watch in general even if you're not a crazy BL fan.
Acting/ Cast - I'm a fan of Chimon, so I'm a little biased. Chimon, the main actor, is very good though. He acts good! The other main male character/ his partner also delivers for the part. There's nothing bad to say about their acting. If you watched Thai BL before.. it's about average with all other series and movies.
However the main character, Nack, has a group of friends. They are not a huge part of this movie, but I never felt the real connection between them and Nack.. I started to ask myself if they really saw him as an equal friend, but I think it's a mix of them being newer actors and how the storyline was written.. not really much can be helped there.
All the other supporting characters definitely delivered though.
Music - I don't really ever pay attention to music.. I like the story more. From what I remember it was pretty good.. I think.
Rewatch Value - If you're into BL, this is something to consider to watch again in the future. It's a light-hearted movie that's not typical or overly anything really. It's a good movie. I will probably watch it again.

final ruim
olha eu esperava um final com o nack isolando aquele que dizia ser seu amigo de lado e ele vivesse a vida dele numa boa, mas não do começo meio e fim a historia e muito dramatica ao extremo sem aquela pitada de romance , ao assistir o começo achei que ia ser um amor, ao ver as criticas eu preferi ver para crer, isso que dar quando nos só acredita vendo, mas sinceramente se eu tivesse assistido na época que lançou eu teria dito quero uma continuação e fazendo o toy ficar sozinho sem ninguém nossa eu ia amar se tivesse tido uma continuação assim , mas infelizmente né ate então não temos noticias, sinceramente não seria um filme que eu assistiria denovo¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Time doesn't heal everything.
To be fair, I didn't have high expectations so wasn't terribly disappointed when everything went the way it did. Really not a fan of gay-shaming or the assertion that time heals everything though. Or the whole 'religious morals' thing.
There were a few sweet moments which were - imo - sadly overshadowed by the more unpleasant ones. Also, the attention paid to crotch shots was more than a bit disturbing. And not just because they didn't actually add to the movie in any discernable way...
Overall I think the actors did well despite the lacklustre story but yeah, wouldn't watch again.

An excellent story with fun, friendship, and deep pain, and convincing performane by Chimon
This is an excellent story with fun, friendship, and deep pain. Chimon is convincing as Nack and really has to act here. (If you want him scarcely having to work, watch the lightweight My Precious.) Some reviewers seem to criticize this film because it is not the story that they want. But we are not writing the story. You may as well say Shakespeare should have written a different ending to Romeo and Juliet. I don't like it when a plot is completely improbable and characters act out of character, and a drama like that is usually badly written. This film is well written. The story is entirely believable. Sometimes love does not work out, sometimes mothers do not approve, sometimes people give mixed messages and let you down. Nack feels suicidal but thank goodness he has friends in his class. We already know those three boys are very good friends. The film leaves us with good advice for any young person who despairs. Also at the beginning there are lots of handsome boys, shorts, and swimming briefs, and the film does not pretend that kissing is the main thing teenage boys do.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Better not watch
This is the most homophobic sht I've seen in a long long time. I'm so mad about literally 75% of the film, especially at the ending I felt like it must be a joke. Are you fcking kidding me? I sat there, mad and in disbelief, that this is considered a BL, are you fckn serious!?!?!? I'm just warning ya'll, don't expect sht, it's horribly written, there must have been serious homophobes at work, who know nothing about love or teenagers, or the world, or feelings, or depression, or happiness. kinda shocked reading the negative reviews for this, cause i Loved it(!), considering the ton of BL themed dramas and movies (from Thailand) i've watched - this is up there with a good ones... the acting was stellar, the plot was interesting not cliché-y. its a coming of age and coming to terms with being gay, or rather growing up in general - i for one loved this -Chimon (who have to admit even if i've watched any of his dramas, i can't remember) but here he / his acting for-sure made one heck off an impression - loved how geeky he was and how the sec he took of the glasses (and yeah that whole scene was a bit farfetched considering what a meek personality Nack had in general - he couldn't stand-up to bullies or anyone in that school. but some random man trying to rob a kid - that screams violent criminal - he stands-up too?!? meeh) but had to get those glasses off lol, so we (well) his love interests would finally "notice" him -
this was far from perfect and i Really would love it if the director's of these BL's would just Stop(!!!) with the sexually exploitative shots of these young actors - the close-up - slooooow shot from top to bottom focusing on sexual organs or butts, and they in nothing but speedos - like we stuck in a 1960 bad-porno ugh plz - like i know sex sells. but it just turns my stomach when i see this shit - don't care if the target is female or male - we in freakin 2021, enough already!
other then Nack, loved his homies - they such a cute pure hearted bunch - true friends. a bit miss-guided at times, but at least their heart was in the right place and when they were needed, they came through. this whole movie was kind of a roller costar ride - started off normal teens, some bullies, some friends but wholesome in general - then almost turned tragic...
what i didn't get was Pong, why he and the other effeminate gays were such b*tches towards Nack?!? and them saying "oh he's gay, but hiding it..." - like WTAF is that a reason to target the dude - and really didn't get Pong (well hated the little f*cker) he kept stalking Nack and if that wasn't enough, he kept lying to others about him and putting him in hot water - even causing a bullying and beat down incident - like why? what, just cause? i really didn't get his motivation - there were so many others in that class, why target a quite guy that was so focused on his studies (cause he could afford a tutor or to fail to get into a community collage with bad scores) cause he knew how poor they were - its just being mean cause u can -
other thing, seeing the poster one would think there some love triangle here - there isn't(!) Petch was a good-looking d*ckhead and a douche, that wanted to use Nack to release sexual tension, cause he couldn't get with his gf (who went to school not far from them) like plz. Nack may have been tempted, but he knew better then to let a douche use him - plus the sec he backed off Pong came in to "steal" his guy, which back-fired cause as Petch said himself "he aint gay" and he for-sure wouldn't be taking Pong out, as if they a couple - he used him and took what was offered but that's about it - so Pong got his - even though dude didn't learn ugh whatever..
Toy on the other hand for sure was interested in Nack and if no-one intervened they might have developed into something - but in comes Nack's mother, a neurotic, crazed bible-thumper that seeing her son (just) sleeping on the same bed with his buddy, asks him the day after "if he gay or a lady boy, and if he had sex with that man he was sleeping with.." like talk about traumatizing ur own child - let alone coming to absurd conclusion, as if they were sleeping in the buff - it was so sweet and innocent, but i guess u see what u want - and her attitude let alone her calling Toy to tell him that her son was "obsessed with him, so as he aint gay - was he?!? he should stay away from Nack,,," - like plz how could a person be this evil?!? she basically shamed and scared both boys into the closet and now even if they were peaking out - after her, it will take therapy to even contemplate who they really r - well that's the case with Toy.
Nack in despair not knowing why Toy was suddenly ghosting him, decides he had enough - but lucky his friends show-up (cause Toy still has a conscience - even if he scared to admit his true feelings and rather push Nack away) he cared enough to call them and inform them they should check-up on Nack.
then Nack is left to pick up the pieces of his heart and just focus on the normal stuff and get on with his life - no happiness or perfection - just life.. his seeing Toy after a yr with a "beard" doesn't help his heart - but given what his mother did, not shocking - Nack on the other hand should've kept his distance and not taken the hand offered in friendship from Toy, cause that would be rubbing salt in an open wound, which in-spite a yr passing hadn't even begun to heal - it would take a lot of work for him to move forward let alone be ready to find love and be true to himself in-spite of that harpy of a mother - this was a very realistic movie and i loved it

The film basically revolves around Chimon who experiences loneliness and when being exposed to (stumbling upon) 2 men in action, he goes through a journey of self-discovery in his sexuality. Even more so when a kind and caring friend suddenly appears into his life, filling up the emptiness and loneliness he felt.
The whole story line is pretty logical. The portrayal of religion background and how it form certain perception in relation to sexuality is also very realistic (although I personally felt that the homophobia was a little too extreme) however I do understand the perspective of a religious parent. That part of the plot however was a little cliche and something we've seen multiple times but it wasn't too bad.
Several things that I enjoyed from this film is how they expressed loneliness and longing, the stress of meeting family expectations, the pressure of being 'NORMAL' as well as the depression that one slips into when loneliness and heartache are mixed in the same equation.
Overall, good enjoyable story. Chimon is a sweetheart! Wanted to slap several characters upside-down lol however it's not something I would watch again. Once is already more than enough.

Sexualization of high school students
So, this is my own opinion, so not everyone will agree with this but, this movie was uncomfortable to watch for me as an adult. The characters are high school seniors I believe and there are some very sexual things in the movie that are uncomfortable to watch (I skipped them). It's not something that's new for the genre, but the actors even look young too and it just felt in bad taste. Again, just my opinion but thought I would put it out there, since I didn't know before hand. It's just not something I support and as an adult, I have noticed it more and more. The acting is okay, that's kind of generous. the movie is a cute concept but not for me. I wouldn't watch it again.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
