Las dos historias fueron escritas por la misma autora. Además, las dos tienen el concepto de dos amigas y el amor de un chico; aunque se ejecutan de manera distinta.

Ambas contienen desastres y supervivientes, a la vez que realismo. Disfruté más "The Flu", porque "Haeundae" no se centra en el desastre, si no en las vidas de las víctimas, mientras que "The Flu" tiene un poco más de acción.

Se me hicieron parecidas respecto a que en ambas pueden escuchar voces , las cuales quieren intentar atraerte.
