This movie is all about Ikuta Toma's incredible acting. He even manage to portray such a controversial character and make it somehow worth it!There are lots of unnecessary scenes with the teens which were somewhat overboard. But the main lead actor, Ikuta toma, nailed it. There were things in between lines. Like Mr. Ito's facial expression. In one time, he was lying but there was deep sadness in his face. Also, he did something which he normally won't do. As for relationship, he maintains a wall where suitors never got a space to enter yet that wall never really existed for Shimada! It was his acting that make it all sense. Even the guy friend of Shimada sensed that the love was mutual in their case. Here, Mr. Ito was workaholic, non-sociable and had some sort of complex in terms of relationship. But his heart melted by Shimada's innocence and he was grateful towards her, also apologetic for not being able to accept her or hurting her. That's why, that controversial relationship never felt wrong! And I'm not exaggerating anything. Mr Ito expressed everything in this tiny movie with his so little screen time and few dialogues! But the rest is pretty much like other teen movies.

My Teacher‘s storyline showed some issues related to the student-teacher relationship. All the matters of the aftermath were realistically presented and gave the complete sense picture of the topic.
Though the story seems nothing more than ordinary and some scenes are pretty slow, I still appreciate the warmth, the gentle execution of the characters that made this film not to be cliché and offensive.

SYNOPSIS _ Hibiki develops a crush on her history teacher Ito. Young &never been in love before, she conveys her feelings straight and honestly to her teacher. How will he react when he has the role of teacher?I have a soft spot for Ikuta & in dis type of role I think it really suited him. Hirose Suzu is fast becoming 1of Japan's most prominent young actresses, I almost feel like I see her constantly but given she has improved immensely. I feel she always gives off a good innocent vibe.
VERDICT _ Its very wrong 2 want a student & a teacher 2 b together, but this type of film can always play wid ur moral concepts.
"My Teacher" doesn't really promise to have an inventive story, but still one that might tackle a difficult topic.

My favorite thing about this movie though, is the classic and stunningly beautiful cinematography. I can't help but compare the Japanese style to the American style. Japanese cinematography is absolutely gorgeous in comparison with the bland, detail-oriented American or British styles. Wonderful! Captivating!

I actually don't know how to react to this movie I mean teacher-student affair is kind a cliché. I watch a lot of movie adaptation based on manga. And I can see where this story goes but still I give it a try just to see if there is something new that this movie might offer.Character:
The main actress is kind of timid I mean she confess however it locks a little bit of strength or conviction for her to convince the male lead that she is serious. (Maybe that's what her character should be at first place??) The male lead are kind of aloof. Like he knows someone like him and he does not like her but he does nothing about it leading to misunderstanding and jealousy. Side characters I don't know or I don't have anything to say ( I think is quite good).
Music(OST):
I like the song it's good to hear. MILD *__*
CONCLUSION:
All in all it is a nice movie to watch while waiting for a series or movie to come out. If you are not into cutesy/cringe type of movie well just don't click it and go to the next movie.
Re-Watch:
Probably in time when I have nothing to do or I forgot about it and I will watch it again.
