Such a handsome cast you will fall in love with the couples..that's why there's a season2!

I love how Ram is like a plant, quiet and self-sufficient but needs to be cared for in a special way that requires you to pay attention. While King is like a dog, high energy, loyal, smart, goes on a whim, and at times a little ruthless.
Ram and King: intensely looking at each other
Me: about to die
Thara; we're brothers, right?
Frong; I can't remember when my mother gave birth to you.
I just noticed that this show doesn't have those Awkward BL commercials, advertisements, or Products placement lol
BossMek: ✔
DuenBohn: ✔
KingRam: "... we're getting there.."

If I hear that damn piano music again I'll... I don't know... flip a table or something.

After having to experience the mess TharnType was, this turned out to be a much needed refresher.

This series is a reminder that you don't need a lot of money or a big production team to make something good, because what matters the most is the writing and a good set of actors. That's how this series made me feel, and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. I mean, the thing was better than many of the BL dramas I've seen up to this point (not that I've seen many, but you get my point).

The pacing and writing of the story felt natural and cohesive. There aren't any huge time gaps that leave you confused or thinking that they cut story out for the sake of timing. Something that bothered me, though, was the soundtrack. These companies need to learn to spend some extra coins on some good musical pieces, but the constant repeating of the same damn piano melody got me f*cked up. It was cute at first, but around episode 3 it got REALLY ANNOYING. Let's play a game: drink a whole bottle of Vodka every time a drama makes a "let's go to the beach!" or a "let's plant trees!" episode.

I believe this is the first drama were I actually find all the characters likeable, even the ones I don't really care about... and even all the couples were interesting. You know, it isn't uncommon to have more than one couple in the story; however, most of the time a big majority of them turn out to be absolutely irrelevant and a waste of time. This one, however, forms part of the very few dramas were I was looking forward to ALL the couples, and we have to thank the writers for that. There were four couples in total and each one of them had enough screen time to get to know and connect with them. Can't say that from A LOT of dramas out there!

BohnDuen --> I find hilarious how the main couple was completely overshadowed by the support couples, for good reasons! But I have to admit that I liked them despite of what the popular opinions say about them. Not everything has to be rainbows and disney-style romance and what really shone here was the comedic side of their relationship. Please give a well-deserved round of applause to Poy because he totally carried this relationship with his fun and approachable personality. Cooper has a predator smirk, by the way... don't know why I'm mentioning this, but whatever.

RamKing --> Well, hello there. What turned out really cool about them is that they got a main couple writing for a support couple. I really liked how well written Ram's character development was; it was unexpected, but excellent. Not a big fan of his voice, though, I expected something that sounded a lot deeper than that LOL. King reminds me of me by being this icebreaker kind of human. I like how he doesn't give up even though he got the cold shoulder plenty of times.

BossMek --> Honestly, I am this close to grab my gay ass and take a trip to Tri Creation's HQ and riot for them to bring Ryan back. Despite of whatever the hell he did to get himself fired, I must say that he was undeniably my favorite actor in this drama. I adored seeing how Mek's feelings were written all over his face on screen. He didn't even need to speak for me to know EXACTLY how he was feeling and THAT MAKES HIM A GREAT ACTOR, SIS! Inntouch (this f*cking name, y'all, I can't) was trying a little too hard to the point that his acting came a little forced, but I feel like it progressively got better. It makes me really curious what's going to happen to Boss next season.

TharaFrong --> Am I the only who doesn't wanna see them together? Don't get me wrong, I liked both actors and both characters, but they just don't match, sis. Shane 's acting felt a little awkward, so maybe is the lack of confidence by portraying a gay character? I don't know, but I am definitely curious about them next season.

Now talking about confidence. Poy and his fake cheek kiss got me pissed off. I mean, it's just a kiss on the cheek, man, it isn't like you gon turn gay just by a miserable kiss on the cheek. These straight actors need to loosen up a little bit. Look at Perth, he went all out and it was one of the best kisses I have seen in a BL drama so far.

All in all, this was a very good drama. If you're looking for your first BL series and want something lighthearted and fun, please watch this one with no hesitation! I'm sure you're gonna like it.

So this series was not initially available where I live, but after I started watching it, I could not stop!
This series is EVERYTHING!
Now this series uses the engineer trope very well, but it isn’t nothing I’ve not seen before, that’s my only complaint about this series.

THE STORY:
The story is good. Duen has to buy flowers for Bohn every morning for a month. The story starts from here and evolves into the relationship of four total couples - Bohn/Duen, Ram/King, Boss/Mek, and Thara/Frong(Yim). The rest of the season is the evolution of their relationships.

THE ACTING:
I’m very pleased with the acting in the series. Each character is well written and actually have substance unlike some other series’ I’ve watched. Sometimes the actors can be uncomfortable with their roles, and they were decidedly so at some points in the series, they managed to make up for it very well. This may be the first series for several of these actors, but credit where credit is due.

THE PRODUCTION :
Very good production. One thing I’ve already mentioned is the engineering trope which is overused according to me, but other than that I’ve got no problem with this production team.

THE OST:
I love the OST’s of several other series’ as well, but this one hits different man! I love the OST and the lyrics of the OST. It’s just so beautiful.

SPOILERS:
I’m going to give only one spoiler. The first kiss is between... Mek and Boss!( Agghhhh!)

THE NEGATIVE:
There’s only one negative and that is the relationship between the leads. While very cute, it’s also a bit toxic. Bohn is prone to fits of jealousy and the episode about the “husband and wife” in the relationship was just unnecessary. Though it is quite usual for jealousy in a relationship, Bohn’s knocks on an unacceptable level. Also the fact that apparently Ryan won’t be returning for season 2 is just disappointing. Just have to see what happens to Mek and Boss.

THE ENDING:
So as previously announced, the series ended on an open note. Bohn and Duen make their relationship official and so do Mek and Boss. Ram King share a kiss, but King decides to not talk about it. Thara and Frong have these moments with Thara finding Frong’s necklace and all, but their arc ends with Thara describing his relationship with Frong as that of a senior and junior. I was ready to be disappointed with the final episode but I was mildly impressed. As for the sad ending Lay was talking about, my best guess is it’s Thara Frong. This was an open ending so for closure, we’ve all just got to wait for season 2.

Overall this series is quite amazing and I would urge you all to give it a try. Thank You!

honestly just watch ramking scenes if you don't want to suffer

so, it's been awhile since I watched this series in full so my memory is a tad bit spotty on all my own opinions

1. I do not enjoy the main couple AT ALL. They both are extremely toxic to each other throughout the series. Bohn is weirdly mean to Duen and it seems like he kind of was overly pushy to get him into the relationship and wasn't respectful of giving him time to come around to it. It also seemed like he was overly possessive and had a lot of toxic jealousy throughout the whole series. It felt like we were on loop with them. The whole entire show.

2. MhekBoss. Honestly I was okay with their plot line and even their wife/husband thing didn't offend me. I just wasn't like EXTREMELY attached to them. I am a bit of a sucker for friends to lover plot lines though, It seems like they moved a little bit quick once Boss (?) found out Mhek liked him. The dubbing IS kinda weird but my non-observant ass didn't notice it until it was pointed out to me.

3. TharaFrong - I honestly enjoyed both of their characters, and enjoyed that Frong really really really wanted to hate Thara from the beginning but the doctor's cheerful and odd nature kind of left him with no choice but to become WHIPPED. Watching him struggle with this was also very nice. I am a Thara stan honestly. MD is my baby and Thara is the cutest little weirdo. Lizards for life!!!

4. RamKing (truly the only reason to stick with the series). It honestly seem like the directors had favorites with this one. They got the most visually stunning scenes throughout the shows. They got the healthiest relationship dynamics. They got the BEST storyline. I honestly liked the comparison of plants vs dogs. King is used to caring for plants which takes a lot of effort and they really give him no response besides growth. While Ram has an affinity for dogs which are very cheerful and hyper and outwardly loving. So, it makes sense why they would be good for each other bc King is like the dogs he fears and Ram is like the plant. Their growth was amazing. I love how patient King is with Ram and respectful of his anxieties and quietness. While Ram never led on King and tried to be as open as he was comfortable with.

Hmmmm I’m on the fence....

So just finished this one,

Things I liked:
Ting Ting - she rocked but I hope they find her a boyfriend in season 2.
Ram and King - the development of their feelings for each other was really good. Chemistry was good too. Both very good actors and a heartfelt confession and a lovely kiss - eventually
Boss choosing Mek
Cooper is super cute reminds me a bit of Fluke Caskey
Perth is super cute
The two children were super cute

Things I didn’t like:
Ram not talking - it was silly
A lot of it was very childish
Deun and Bohn - Bohn bullied Deun practically every episode. One minute they behave like school boys the next Bohn is trying to get Deun in the sack. Chemistry was ok but the kisses were just a lip press and were incredibly awkward - in the end they both started to annoy me tbh - tells him he loves him but won’t let him lay a finger in him - what’s that all about!
Mek - was voice dubbed and it wasn’t done well at all
No chemistry between Mek and Boss whatsoever yet they had allegedly been in love with each other for years
The stereotypical overweight overly camp pushy man at the camp site - please ffs!
Zero chemistry between Frong and Thara
The lack of explanation from Bohn about the boy that kissed him

Save for the bullying from Bohn I did enjoy most of the BL. It’s OST was ok too. There was no poor student, they all lived in mansions! The story trips along at an ok pace. Not too many dramas to deal with and those that do arise are not dragged out overly. Save for Ram’s Dad but I am guessing they will deal with that in season 2.

There are lots of pretty faces, but not too much action, typical GMMTV

I want Season 2 asap!!!

I started watching without any expectation, I thought I will be another pastime with an unspectacular Series. But I have to say with every episode it increased. The last episode was climaxed. The best of the complete series. The feelings... the pain, the happiness... rollercoaster... and then the end. That's why I need the Season 2 asap.
The only thing I have to say is that I didn’t see a main couple. All four couples were on the same level and the chemistry between Talay and Perth was indescribable.

I didn't have any expectation before watching my engineer but it was actually good. There were 4 couples even tho Frong&Thara was rigged :( I needed more Frong&Thara... It is okay tho because we will have season 2. Main couple's story started good but it went down in the middle of serie and i kinda skipped them till the end. I skipped Mek and Boss since the beginning. Could't they find an actor who can speak Thai and use annoying dub voice which is very obvious? I didn't find Boss and Mek's story interesting at all.
Ram and King were much more interesting than main couple tbh.. Best written and very interesting BL couple.
Please more Frong and Thara in season 2. I mean even their story with limited screen time was more interesting than Main couple and Boss&Mek imo.

Second Couples Very Interesting

I enjoyed how Bohn and Duen came to their realization of liking each other although there is a little too much insecurity on Bohn's part that would cause a normal person pause before going into the relationship. However, they each show some tender moments towards each other and I don't mind supporting their journey. The funniest scenes were when each one tries not to be the bottom in the relationship, due to listening to their friends' bad advice. They eventually find their way to what works for them.

However, I am all in for RAM/KING and would watch a whole show just about them. My Engineer did a great job of allowing the four couples equal screen time so they could develop and you could get invested. But I think the ones to watch are going to be Ram and King. They were so not obvious, that it was a nice surprise. Looking forward to Season 2!

The series was really fun to watch. The ending wasn't my favorite cause of the cliff hanger but for the most part i really enjoyed watching it. I would definitely rewatch it. My favorite part was when the main and side couples got together but there are some episodes where i really wanted to slap the characters. In all honesty it was a really good series and it had its funny moments too which i also really enjoy. I would definitely recommend this series to newer bl watchers, or to anybody that likes drama and some comedy.

The story is so so, kind of typical. They're all totally clueless but Duen and Bohn are clueless in the, "the writers are only doing this because they need more plot" kind of way. But the chemistry between the actors is ?????. TBH this drama really only gets me going for KingxRam and BossxMek. The OST is also sooooo catchy. What a nice light hearted BL. Very refreshing after some of the more recent ones. If you like BL, definitely add this to your PTW list. I will definitely rewatch this at some point.

Just as a warning, the last episode ended on a bit of a cliff hanger for one of the couples, but THERE IS GOING TO BE A SECOND SEASON!!! so I think that they are setting they up to be the leads for the next season which makes me super excited!.

Watching Season 2 immediately !!

*outline*
This is another one of those dramas I've watched where my first impression on it wasn't all that excited. But I'd heard about this drama from many sites and sources online so I finally got around to watching it.

*thorough*
STORY : It's a very cliche plot, from the beginning to the end - mind the rest of the ships though. I'll admit, most of the ships I didn't expect but while I watched the series I started imagining each relationship more and at the end I just ended up loving each couple equally. However, the confession scenes for the side couples were the best, the main couple's confession scene was way too longed out. But it was constructed that way for a reason, so I totally understand. Even the rejection scenes were to die for, but thank goodness this drama didn't make me cry too much. Yeah, sure, there were many climaxes that kept getting in the way of their relationships but no one stayed mad or angry for too long, and before I knew I was smiling at them like an idiot. The pace for this drama was perfect too, not a single scene was wasted. I just wish there was a more finished ending to the series but S2 is out soon and I'm starting on that ASAP. I also realized how deep my love is for BL. I'm practically married to the ships--- fite me :0

ACTING/CAST : Individually calling out my favorite characters would get too long so I'll just say my general take on this series was just way too good. The main couple, though, were perfect for each other. And this is probably one of the very few times I think this about drama. Especially when they smiled, that just changed the whole mood of the scene. They all acted so well, even the background actors. (Side note: I was actually surprised over Ryan Peng's appearance. I didn't know him before this drama but I was so confused over why he was speaking in a different language, with a different person doing a voice-over.)

MUSIC : I actually didn't like most of the tracks, but the reason I gave the music a high rating is because the music made up the whole drama. Watching through every episode, nearly every scene had background music - whether vocal or instrumental. It also fed to my love for the ships as I really vibed with the scenes and empathized with each character more easily.

REWATCH VALUE : Despite loving this series so much while watching it, I slightly doubt I'll come back to it. But I will definitely miss the characters and their ships. Probably even binge-watch some videos for the ships or the making of the drama. If it takes too long for Season 2 to air then I will definitely watch this again just to relive and revisit the story

*recommendations*
I would definitely recommend this for anyone.
'Why R U?' and/ '2 Moons' if you're into the same character development.

This series can be seen as the dark horse for the first half of 2020. I was more excited to watch 2gether the series and WRU? just by the trailers as they drew me in. When I saw this was coming out and after watching the trailer, I wasn't that much excited. However, I still decided to watch it, because I try to give all BL series a go. And I am glad that I did, cause this series was clearly more enjoyable to me than the other two that I was originally eager to watch!

Story-9.5/10
This story was simple, yet it was beautifully told! I loved being introduced to these friends and the guys who they will in turn develop feelings/ have relationships with. What stood out to me was that the director was able to give an ample amount of time for each of the BL couples. This series had four- one MC and three supporting. And I loved all of them. They were all developed beautifully and well, which I think is very rare in BL series as it seen that other BL couples are not properly developed in other series, leaving us viewers either confused or wanting more of them. A reason for this could be due to the fact that this series clearly had better editing skills than the last two series that I recently finished watching. They were able to achieve this due to the fact that they released this series a whole month behind it's original airdate, so that they can fix it's editing as well as for it to show in various countries once viewers were using the WETV app. What annoyed me was the lack of communication between the MC. I am seeing to much of this in BL's, as if that is there go to move and it is getting quiet annoying now. Now to talk about the characters.

Bohn and Duen- I know hat there are some viewers who didn't like the main couple. But in all honest, I adored them. Why? Because neither person did a 180 when they finally got together. Yeah they quarreled over silly simple things, but when they were wrong- they apologized. They showed growth AND they still remained the same way. For me, it felt like they were telling each other you met me like this, then you will love me like this- they didn't have to change to be with one another. In one episode that shows growth is where Bohn asked Duen to move in with him and he told him to give them a year and if they were still together then yes. That right there is growth and sensibility compared to some other BL series as they were basically with each other for less than one month.

Ram and King- God! I feel for these two so hard when they started having scenes together! I loved them to death! The progress of their relationship was so sweet and simple. King helped Ram through his personal situation and became his rock. They really carried me through an emotional rollercoaster in that last episode and I cannot wait to see more of them!

Boss and Mek- From bestfriends to lovers! In the beginning I really did not have any opinion on this couple. But, as the series progressed and we saw more of them, I loved them. My heart broke every time Mek's heart broke. And then with the introduction of Fon in some earlier episodes who liked Boss, I felt more in pain. I am not gonna lie, I honestly thought that Fon had no feelings for Boss, but she truly loved him that she was willing to give up her dream to actually be with him. I was glad that they wrote Fon in a good light and not like a vindictive person. This is where some other BL writer's could take points as well!

Thara and Frong- They came in late in the series and they have stolen my heart. I loved their interaction with each other. And I can't to see more of them in the next season (especially since Thara only now sees Frong as his junior and nothing more).

I loved all of the side characters. All of their friends and families added what I enjoyed about this series! I especially adored Ting Ting! She was truly entertaining.

Acting-Cast-10/10
Everyone's acting was so good and enjoyable. You can see that everyone enjoyed working with each other and it was able to transcend into the screen. They were all able to play their characters so beautifully and felt the emotions that they all felt. I truly enjoyed them.

Music-9/10
I usually don't pay attention to music in series. But when Bohn and Duen was in the woods and the music played in the background- yeah, that really got to me. So, because of that, I raised it to a 9.

Rewatch Value- 10/10
Without a doubt, I will rewatch this series. Even the dreaded episode thirteen I will watch over again, cause things were actually cleared up nicely in the final episode.

Overall-9.5/10
This is currently the highest rating that I have given for a Thai BL series for 2020 that started in 2020 and finished in 2020. I don't know if any other series will take over- I will just have to wait and see. In the end, My Engineer was truly a great series and I would highly recommend it to other people.
