I think it meant to convey the idea that everyone is beautiful.
Instead if conveyed the idea that you’re only beautiful if you look a certain way.
That way requires expensive high heels, a face full of Expensive makeup, expensive clothing & jewelry and straightening natural curls and give up your sight because heaven forbid someone wears glasses
The actress was good and if you like idols you’ll like it
But seriously if you Write a conversation about how humans judge everyone by the same standard of beauty and they shouldn’t ...then you proceed to say...but you don’t try to meet that standard and then have the main character change be I’m gonna meet those standards cause I deserve it...and I can’t be pretty if I can see. You’re not a good writer...even for writing commercials.
(and yes I do have curly hair and wear glasses...actually the before kinda looks like a younger version of me so while that does influence my review it’s also bad writing to endorse what you said was bad)

I wanted a light drama so I found some flower boys in one drama. So basically I came for Lee Joon Gi and Park Chanyeol, my eye candies.
With that, the story is about a girl who thinks of herself as pretty, and because of that, she lacks self-confidence and our men come as magic angels to give her a makeover one by one.

The story is simple but the execution is OK, the special effects didn’t work for me. It was mainly for the product advertisement LOTTO, so the drama could perfectly send the message that viewers should visit LOTTO STORE.

I rated this drama for its cast but wasn't impressed by its acting skills, as it's a short drama with limited time for its message.
it keeps the interest with the amazing music. Overall it's a good one time watch

As I mentioned when I reviewed "7 First Kisses", If you are going to enjoy this series, you have to take it for what it is. It is a very long commercial for LOTTE Duty Free and it is meant to be FLUFF. Don't expect high drama here as it is not supposed to be that.

I knew that this was a long commercial when I started watching, so I enjoyed the series a lot. I was very excited because Super Junior's Lee Teuk is in this series because I had seen him in lots of variety shows, but not in any dramas, so was looking forward to seeing him in this short series. He does well in it...as do all the actors and actresses in the show. It's not really a series where anyone outside the female lead is going to stand out too much because except for her, many of the other characters are only in about one episode.

The only small complaint I had about this show, was that it seemed like the writers were not quite sure what the main goal was. I say that because I wasn't sure what they were trying to say even as I watched it. I guess the "takeaway" is supposed to be that if you work hard enough, have confidence in yourself, and use the right products that anyone can be beautiful. However, it's a message that is a bit muddied at times. It's not really a "Cinderella" type story, but it's also not a "pick yourself up by your own bootstraps" type story. Whatever the story is though, it's a fun way to spend an hour or so.

So, if you are looking for a fluffy short series that is easy to watch and light on emotional traumas, then this might be just the show for you. Enjoy!

Story:
It was already from the beginning understandable what will happen in the end of the series. But it was still fun to watch. For a mini series story wasn’t too rushed which was good.

Acting/ Cast/Characters:
The cast of these mini series.. They all are beautiful. And they all showed their talent for acting. Nothing was to much or to less. It was good for the mini series.
Chemistry between characters was well showed too. Because it was mini series there wasn’t a lot of time to show character development but the main actress Go Won Hee did a good job to show the character growth.

Music:
I enjoyed OST. It was well chosen for theme and vibe mini dramas represented.

I didn't realize until sitting down to watch that this was a sequel of sorts to 7 First Kisses (okay, maybe not a sequel really, but sort of), which I also watched, although I found that one more difficult to push through. As much as I loved the premise of Kisses (I mean, I play Otome games), I wasn't finding myself all that eager to press play on each consecutive episode. Queen Makers, however, was significantly easier for me to watch and enjoy, and I think I probably owe all it all to the female lead.

I know I'm in the minority when I say this, but I love shy, insecure, awkward female leads. I can appreciate a 'strong' female character (although I think there needs to be a conversation on what exactly that means, because I think people don't understand what they ask for when they ask for strong female leads), but I don't relate to them on just about any level. Insecure female leads are infinitely more relatable to me and probably always will be, because as much as I might wish I were some sort of strong and brave and resilient person, I'm not, and these characters make me feel like I'm not alone in being so useless. So yes, I loved the female lead here. Of course, it didn't hurt that the actress playing her did a superb job. She may not have Looked the part of an awkward, 'unattractive' girl, but she definitely emanated the emotions of one through her portrayal, and that goes a long way.

Now does this web series have a strong storyline? No. It's fluffy, it's cheesy, it's way too rushed and has a glaring plot hole or two. But I was still able to enjoy it for what it was.

So if you can approach a web-series like this with the attitude of 'I'm not looking for a perfectly plotted story. I just want a little fluff' then you will enjoy this just fine.

wanna watch a kdrama ? don't have time this is the best kdrama for you

I loved the concept of this drama; that we all are beautiful, we just need to find the beauty inside us. one thing that I didn't like was how they put across the message that we need to use makeup to reveal our beauty. that's not true, makeup is just another way of making a mask to cover ourselves- but that's just my opinion-.
Yet, despite all that the drama is really well made. Even though every episode is just a few short minutes, they managed to peak my interest and developed the story quite well. The acting was also incredible for sure. Go Kwon Hee manages to take control of the show magnificently through her acting every time I see her. I loved eccentric acting here as well.
overall, this drama was short but send out a beautiful message on loving ourselves. so if you have a little free time on your hands but still want to watch a drama, I'd say this k-drama is a good option but don't expect a lot.

It's kind of clingy, not going to lie. I lost count of how many times I clinged watching this.

I started this only for the actors. The first episode was actually nice & interesting. But after that it lost itself.

The acting was good considering the fact that the actors only got a few line - it was 15 minute a episode. And it has an ending, or something close to an ending, which is good cause we never had an ending for 7 first kisses.

I actually enjoyed 7 first kisses more than this, mostly because 7 first kisses had a better story line.
The actors are all good looking, so its good for your eyes.
In short its a long ad. Don't think to much of it.

Beleza é uma questão de confiança em si mesmo!

Quer dizer, é sobre isso que o drama tenta falar desde o início, mas, é, nós sabemos como essa coisa de "beleza" é padronizada.

A protagonista, desde o início, é mostrada como alguém que não tem confiança nem cuida de si mesma, usa roupas sem graça e não passa maquiagem. Tá, já encontramos um padrão. Não que eu esperasse algo muito profundo vindo de um mini drama pra divulgar a Lotte Duty Free, não é mesmo? O prequel (7 First Kisses), na realidade, também tem uma pegada bem parecida, então vamos lá.

Deixando de lado todo o clichê de dramas fáceis de assistir, não dá pra dizer que a história não tem boas intenções. A trama é, sim, sobre uma "garota feia que fica bonita" depois de ser ajudada pelos tais Mensageiros da Beleza, mas a todo momento os garotos enfatizam que a beleza não é só externa, ela está dentro de você e você é o único que pode externalizar ela para o mundo. Claro, Ahn Gongjoo teve ajuda nesse processo, mas, apesar disso, ela só conseguiu mostrar ao mundo sua beleza quando passou a acreditar em si mesma (ou nos mensageiros, como o Peter Pan aka Chanyeol deixa bem claro. Crianças, acreditem em fadas, ou elas morrem!).

Num todo, esse é sim um bom drama. Não tem nada de muito emocionante, é bem curtinho e previsível, mas vale a pena por conta do elenco principal (risos). Vamos ser francos, né, tá todo mundo assistindo isso por causa dos oppa, eu sei bem haha
