Kotoko feels guilty about Naoki's arm and follows him constantly trying to help him. This catches the attention of Reiko, the girl in class 3-A that likes Naoki, so she starts causing trouble for Kotoko. She steals and ruins Yuuki's ball that gets him upset with Kotoko. As well rumours start at school about her being a thief. Thanks to Naoki's interference and help everything resolves itself and Kotoko's name is clear and she buys a new basketball for Yuuki as an apology. Meanwhile, Shigeo and Masaki go off to a school reunion, and Ma along with Yuuki go to grandmother's after learning that she is really sick. So Kotoko and Naoki are together alone by themselves for the first time.
