Jade Dynasty 1 (2019)

I like this movie. Xiao Zhan has played his role very well. I think he is an honest artist. I like his simplicity. I don't find the movie unworthy of watching again. I wish, Xiao Zhan keeps getting more and more interesting roles ahead. Good wishes.
I don't know why he was nominated for golden broom award for this movie. As a viewer I strongly believe he has made justice to the character he played and at least has worked very hard for it.
I want to see him in more movies and dramas. I enjoy watching him.
I also like the acting of Li Qin. She is such a promising actress.
I like them both.
To tell about the direction if the movie I think it could be better.
Music of this movie is mediocre.
I think I will watch this movie once again. Although it is only for Xiao Zhan.
I am waiting for the second part of the movie.

I think the lower rattings of this movie is only because of its direction. To judge the acting of the male lead and female lead, it is worthy of having high rate.

Much better than the series

This movie is the adaption of the same novel as Nobel Aspirations (Legend of Chu Shen) series. While the drama is very long winded and boring, this movie is entertaining and in short durations able to relay the key messages or story line.
It's not totally perfect movie, but it's not a terrible one until can get bad ratings. If the original drama can get a high ratings with that kind of producing and acting, why people give this movie low rating, with much better acting and production??

I haven't read the novel, but to me the way the movie portray the demonic secs is more realistic, unlike the drama series. In the drama series the demonic sec is something like magicians only, while in the movie it more like a combination of traditional chinese ghost and western ghost ( Pig head vs chucky). In the drama,

The acting, unlike the expressionless Zhang Xiao Fan on the drama series, the movie portray Zhang Xiao Fan better, again proof great acting from XZ. How he get Golden broom from this movie, I really can't understand the person give that, maybe he satisfied with expressionless acting. Not sure.

The other best thing from the movie is a lot of funny scenes, like the monkey riding the dog and the cute expressions from the monkey watching scenes LOL

I don't know why I like it!

I seriously don't. It was really bad. the fight scene were garbage, the demon costumes were ridiculous but them fighting was even worse than the silly scenes of the sects fighting. The storyline made no sense and in no way came together well. The funniest things were Seven and the monkey.
But I liked it. Right as soon as I realized that everything was not going to be good, I let myself just enjoy the acting. Most of the characters were great and the acting of bad scenes was good.
Maybe if it was a short series instead of a movie, thing would have been better. They could have built the world and characters better. But instead they squeezed it into a movie.
Oh, well.

It is a mediocre Xianxia movie with bad plot and stupid cliffhanger

Jade Dynasty, started by Xiao Zhan, Li Qin, and Meng Mei Qi, is a mediocre historical Xianxia movie with an interesting plot but not a good ending.

The beginning explains how he got to the heavenly realm, but the ending does not explain how he got the demonic blood in his DNA. The ending has a cliffhanger, and stupid for them to let him go knowing that he can be potentially bad.

For a 2019 movie, I expected better CGI. I would rate it as a C-rated movie and give it a 6.0 rating. MarcusHere, a Youtuber recommended it, so I checked it out since it started Xiao Zhan. I was not impressed because the plot is so stupid.

Must watch movie

Xiao zhan has done superbly well as xiaofan. This probably paved the way for his acting in the Untamed. The movie is humorous, but will pull your heart strings at some point. The story progresses really well. I loved all the actors. The visual effects are superb as well. The action scenes are breath taking. The story is about how a kind and innocent person like xiaofan was forced to turn over to the dark side. But the goodness inside him remained. His friends and his master loved him with all their Hearts. They stuck by his side till the very end. I loved the movie. I'll be watching it again.

Xiao Zhan's Acting Talent is not a Joke.

I finally watched Jade Dynasty with Xiao Zhan and all I can say is wow! You had comedy, action, drama, suspense, all of it. Zhan's acting was superb; he is extremely versatile as an actor and that's so important. Beautiful job! His craft and ability to go above and beyond to get the job done was on display for every moment. After seeing this film, my respect for this young man has grown even more, I look forward to more amazing work from him. All of the other actors were decent, the 6 stooges he lived with were funny. The older cast was more believable on occasion while all three female leads did a great job. I do think this film needs a part 2.

I really liked it and even though some parts had to be shorted or rushed to make it movie length, I barely noticed it. I just wanted more. It left it a opened ended on whether XiaoFan's village brother saw the same thing he saw or whether he would help him in some way by making him completely absent in the big fight scene. After all revenge was his strongest desire, losing in that tournament wasn't all that important since it made it clear, in the end, who potentially was involved in killing their families & their whole village. I was informed that this was the movie version of the series, The Legend of Chusen (青云志), and my enjoyment of this movie has now added that series to my "to watch list." The whole cast did a fantastic job! The visual effects were on point, stylish and classy. There bits of comedy on top of XiaoFan's (Xiao Zhan) sweet, endearing heart and innocence, priceless. If they make a 2nd movie, I'll definitely watch it. Heck, I'm looking forward to it. :)

Film nya bagus sih. 1 jam 40 menit berasa beberapa menit doang. Cepet banget berakhirnya. Agak kaget pas tau ternyata uda mau habis. Karena saking seru nyaa loh!! CGV nya keren dah! Acting para Aktor/Aktris nya juga mantapeu. hmm, Untuk ending nya, menurut ku uda cukup oke sih, tapi agak ngegantung. ;( KU INGIN SEGERA NONTON YG KE 2

Alasan nonton ini, karena ada babang tamvan, Xiao Zhan. HEHEHEHEH! TAPIII TAPI, WORTH banget nih film. Romance lmyn dapet, fantasy dapet, ada komedi pula. Dan aku paling suka komedi nya disini, LOL. *agak receh, tapi ku suka (moneet nya luthuuu) >,<
