eu poderia ter dado uma nota muito maior a este drama, mas o único episodio (e final) quebro todo o dorama para mim, eles quiseram dar um final feliz ao protagonista quando podiam ter inovado, na minha opinião, eu estaria mais contente com os protagonista mortos na igreja porque, sinceramente, se for para ser um dorama de temporada único, com ciclo fechado, eles fizeram totalmente errado, parece ate dar ponta para continuação, mesmo sabendo a improbabilidade disto. o final simplesmente é confuso, não faz sentido, e deixa mais pontas soltas do que o dorama inteiro.
mas eh apenas isto que me deixou com um gosto amargo, a historia em si é bem legal, eu gosto bastante de temática ficção cientifica e viagem no tempo, o dorama conseguiu me entreter ate o final, mas realmente os últimos 30 min por volta... não faz sentido algum... se for assistir isso, melhor se desprender de todas as amarras de coisas que fazem sentido.

NOT PERFECT BUT STILL AMAZING !!!

DO NOT listen to the low reviews. If you want a unique, interesting and mind-blowing science fiction drama, then THIS IS FOR YOU. But if you're one of those OVER-THINKERS who crave for a PERFECTLY LOGICAL and PERFECTLY PERFECT dramas, then DO NOT WATCH THIS.

A lot of people complain about the logic of this drama. But all I can say is: Don't overthink. Don't act like a genius. After all, this is fiction. Not real.

The topic of time travel is a reaaalllyyy difficult one. And sometimes it really becomes not logical. Because that's what it really is. And the fact that they made an awesome story about it while still trying to be kind of reasonable... is very much appreciated by me. I also have a lot of questions and doubts about the things going on here, but I just chose to go with the flow and enjoy this amazing drama. And I hope you will too.

Story [9.5/10]: Okay. The story in general is fantastic. The war, the bombs, the backstories, even the tiniest details— they're all connected. I love how they fill the episodes with backstories because those just hype up the mystery aspect to it. And everytime you see a backstory, you're gonna be like "oohhh so that's what happened. That's why blablablaa." The backstories explain a lot of things here. So don't complain that they have backstories as fillers. Add. Note: It's sometimes confusing what is the present and which is the past, but just try to connect the pieces and you'll get it.

Some people also complain about the plotholes. I mean, I know there are some things illogical about this drama. And some plot holes.. That's why i rated it 9.5 and not 10. But even tho it's sometimes confusing, it just triggers my curious and I end up liking this more.

PLUS this drama has a bit of EVERYTHING. Mystery, drama, romance, etc.. I can't even count my tears in the last episode!

Acting/Cast [9.5/10]: The actors/casts are great. I saw what I expected from them. But there's just something a bit off with the acting... I don't know if it's the fault of the scriptwriters for writing not-so-good lines. Maybe it's their fault and not the actors' fault. But still, as the drama goes on, and because of the skills of the actors, the acting still turned out pretty nice. I guess I was just expecting more.

Music [9/10]: I defenitely love dramas with amazing sound tracks. But Sisyphus is just not my faves in terms of the music. I mean the soundtrack is pretty nice but it just wasn't one of those that will completely get me to love it. That everytime I hear that song, I cry and remember the drama. It's just not one of those. Especially because I've watched a lot of dramas with amazing soundtrack like Hotel Del Luna, Goblin, and Extraordinary you. But don't get me wrong, I still like the bgm and songs in sisyphus... but I think they have to work on more with the music choice and timing.

Rewatch Value [8.5/10]: I defenitely would want to rewatch this. But I'm not too crazy about watching it again because I guess I already got what I wanted. Tho I think sometime in the future, I'll rewatch this because it's amazing.

Overall [9/10]: I WOULD DEFENITELY RECOMMEND THAT YOU WATCH THIS. I LOVE THIS. SERIOUSLY. Don't let the negative reviews confuse you. This is great if YOU LOVE SCI-FI and if YOU'RE NOT A PERFECTIONIST.

Failure

No logic included.
Why was there a quicksand and a sandstorm in the future? Seoul is not a desert area.
Where were they getting all the bullets from during the war and also in the present time?
Too many unnecessary action and effects that didn’t add up to the storyline at all.
In the tunnel where she’s walking with her dad they see a lot of small children. The war was going on for 15 years so where did those little children come from?
The story is very interesting but the execution of it is just a big failure.
Too many screen mistakes.
It is a interesting story but just too many messy mistakes in the production of it.

Acting - Amazing. Cast - Brilliant. OST - Perfect. THE ACTUAL STORY - A HEADACHE

Make sure you have some migraine medicine before watching Sisyphus: The Myth - due to the story, you will need it! While the acting was great, along with the cast and OST, my oh my the story didn't live up to it. It wasn't horrible, it wasn't even bad, but it was confusing, and when comparing it to the acting, cast and OST, it is definitely the weakest part of Sisyphus: The Myth.

In all due fairness, I personally do not have the greatest track record with understanding time travel, but eventually I understand it. For whatever reason here, I am more confused instead of less confused, as I should be at the point of completion. I wasn't buying into the romance too much, however, with great acting I finally did. The OST is addictive and I know I will be listening to it for a very long time. Also, if you are used to lots of time travel dramas or movies, you will obviously have a better chance of understanding the story.

All in all, I think I expected more, but due to the phenomenal acting especially, it saved the whole drama for me.

Sisyphus is a really good time travel action thriller with a nice slow burning romantic story. The drama has a great cast and they did a good job bringing their characters to life. The leading female character, Kang Seo Hae (played by Park Shin Hye), a survivor of a future dystopian world, teams up with Han Tae Sul (played by Jo Seung Woo), who is a genius software coder IT engineer and a co-founder of Quantum and Time, a highly esteemed company in South Korea's Engineering Industry, to try to save the Korea from a nuclear attack. The drama has action, mystery, and some romance. Although the drama’s development is not perfect, it is very entertaining. Enjoy it!

The Confusing Myth

It's been a while since I’ve been so intrigued by a k-drama, especially one that stars Park Shin Hye. She does a lot of popular series, but I feel like there are some parts where she doesn’t show her full potential therefore, I pass on a lot of her drama. Surprisingly, this is one of the series that I think she did an awesome job on her role!! I like her as a badass strong female lead rather than a timid typical teenage girl in love. I would like to see her do more action roles.

What I like about the series:

The way how this was directed, written, and how it was edit was brilliant. It kept me watching from beginning to end. I typically skip “thriller/mystery” Korean series because they don’t give me the same excitement. To want to see this series to the end was kind of a shock to me.

The characters. Most typical Korean series has this tough acting man who can solve all problems with his fist, his looks, or his money. Han Tae Sul solved everything with his brains and well his money. I like to say he doesn’t have the typical eye candy that most Korean leads have but that is not a bad thing. He is super charming, and I adore his character! Plus, Park Shin Hye is a sassy female lead who knows she can win a (gun) fight with anyone.


The bad:
I still haven’t figure out what with the ending. The ending between the leads felt like a dream. Also, you get this glimpse of Sigma who is a better person but yet he still has a bit of crazy and plans to go after Han Tae Sul as a stalker??

One of the things that K-drama does well is dragging on plots causing confusion, cliffhangers, and excitements to get your peak interest. In Sisyphus, I was close to saying "forget about this" and read the recaps. This was a point in the series, you felt you were just being drag along and you still don’t have a clue about why this all started that it was starting to be upsetting but you kept watching. I’m glad I did because it was a change of pace and it was something that you just have to be patient about. Personally, I would have preferred a little snippet of the “why”.

Again this is personal preference but I don’t think there was a lot that leads to the romance of the lead characters. I know when you’re put into a situation where you’re fighting to survive and you only have each other to depend on, romance can develop but I was expecting a bit more than just that.

Overall I say 8/10 because of the excitement I got from watching a k-drama in a while.

These journey is way way better than the destination.

This story is one of those where the journey is way way better than the destination.

I like the scientific approach they did on the time travel concept, even though there's still some holes on it. I like the actors casted here, they were really good.

I like the adventure they had while trying to save the world. I like that even with all the chaos, they still managed to fall in love. Even though its a love that's "You and me against all odds" kind of thing.

I almost like everything about the this show, except maybe the ending. Which is really typical with this kind of genre. It's a bit underwhelming for me.

I thought this drama, was okay! I didn't feel like it really had a story to it.! I liked the actors but I just don't know where the storyline was going. Like loads of people kept suggesting me to watch it soo I decided I would watch it.

I mean it was a okay kinda mystery show, but I just didn't get it at all. - I tended to skip a lot of the episodes because I felt like there was a lot of scenes that were the same. There' wasn't much things going on, it felt like one of those like rewind things and the story was soo confusing. And the ending confused me soo I don't know if I really liked this

Estoy louca depois de assistir

Comecei a assistir pela premissa de envolver viagem no tempo . Os dois primeiros episódios são espetaculares e te prendem demais! Não que você entenda alguma coisa de primeira, mas é justamente isso, esse ponto de interrogação, que te faz querer continuar assistindo.
O drama é desenvolvido em cima do mito de Sísifo, não atoa esse é o título da produção. Isso significa que tudo o que está acontecendo já aconteceu diversas vezes antes, daí o motivo de os nossos protagonistas nunca conseguirem vencer o vilão, ele sempre sabe de todos os passos que eles deram porque sua versão maligna anterior deixou tudo por escrito para a sua próxima variante. E tudo parece ir conforme o plano até que as atitudes dos mocinhos passam a mudar, assim possivelmente mudando o futuro. Esse negócio de viagem no tempo me deixou louquinha da cabeça. Tinha hora que eu pausava o episódio para racionar o que tava rolando. Para complicar ainda mais o raciocínio, apareceram os furos de roteiro. Por mexer demais com linhas temporais diferentes, era inevitável que não surgissem furos. Furos estes que poderiam ser resolvidos facilmente se o roteiro tivesse passado por um olhar mais atento( e não tô nem falando de paradoxos temporais).
No geral, é um bom drama. Atuações excelentes, trilha sonora perfeita, cenas de ação muito bem coreografadas e uma ambientação futurística muito bem feita (tem umas cenas de ação que o CGI deixou a desejar, mas bola pra frente). O que me incomodou, de verdade, foi o roteiro que se perdeu em alguns pontos e a fórmula repetitiva de "vilão encontra mocinho. Mocinho luta e foge. Vilão volta a perseguir mocinho".
As cenas finais são um tanto confusas e deixaram o final meio aberto, como se aquela história contada fosse apenas mais uma das muitas versões que ocorreram e ainda vão ocorrer. Como a sina de Sísifo em rolar a pedra até o topo da montanha eternamente, sem nunca chegar ao seu objetivo. Não achei ruim, o final foi, de certa forma, coerente (principalmente ao nome do drama), mas acredito que o roteiro poderia ter sido executado de uma forma melhor.

DRAMA JUST FINISHED, IM CONFUSED

DID FINISH THE DRAMA! I RATE IT 8/10 . ABOUT THE ENDING, DID THEY BOTH MEET ON DIFFERENT REALITY OR TIMELINE. OR THEY ALL JUST STUCK IN A NEW LOOP, WHERE THEY SACRIFICE THEMSELVES AND WATCH THE NEW TYPE OF SIGMA TO ARRISE AFTER RECIEVING THE NOTE BOOK IN REGARDS ABOUT THE THINGS HAPPEN IN THE PAST SUPER CONFUSE ABOUT THAT PART. IM STARTING TO REALIZE THAT THEY ALREADY CHANGE THE REALITY WHERE SIGMA ON THAT REALITY HAVEN'T SUCCESFULLY INITIATED A WAR BUT NOW SEEING THE NEW SIGMA GUY. DOES HE HAS A NEW PERSON TO CONTROL? LIKE THE GUY ON THE FORBES MAGAZINE ... GUSH I DO HOPE HAN TAE SUL AND SEO HAE BEEN TOGETHER ON OTHER REALITY. AAHHH GUSH EXPLAIN TO ME I'M OUT OF BRAINCELLS :C

Actually really entertaining.

A fine mixture of science fiction, big brother, great actors and a tempting sound track.
The story itself was new to me in the genres and this alone makes a great plot (its not that easy to develop new stories after 100+ years of motion pictures).
Some hickkups might have been needed to correct tho. An aircraft flying in 5000 KM(!) height is more a case for NASA than for a Korean airline. A small tip to those creating stories: although its science fiction, the parts in the "here and now" should be at least a bit realistic. And this flight level is simply reserved fo satellites. (or simply: as realistic as a real world hospital movie in which the main actress would wear highheels during station duty...)
