All I Want for Love is You (2019)

This was my first drama watching the leads and it seemed that this was a low budget romcom drama. I'm not sure if they are rookies but the for being first timers, their acting is okay.

This is probably comparable to the Korean drama WLFKBJ due to the fact that the female lead is a sanda fighter. This is a coming of age drama which follows the gang from high school to university. The male lead is an intelligent student who is in the same class as the female lead. What is different here though is that the female lead didn't really like him first but it was the other way around. It seems that the male lead was harboring a secret crush and silently admiring how gallant the female lead is. They weren't aware that they also fancy each other secretly. I was entertained but I didn't like the ending though, it seems rushed.

This is a nice romantic coming of age comedy that could’ve been better if the leading couple’s romantic moments would have been allowed to flow naturally, instead of cutting them short, since there was good chemistry among them. The story starts with the typical high school first love and progresses consistently into college. The leading couple doesn’t deviate from their goal of been together but it is a slow burned romance. There are some plot inconsistencies regarding the leading couple’s past traumas but, overall, the drama delivers a cute romantic story. The antagonists are tolerable and the leading lady, although she is supposed to be naive, could really stand her ground. Still, this drama is entertaining and good to watch while waiting for a great one. Enjoy it!

Misleading premise

I really enjoyed the first part of the drama, for once in a while we have a caring ML who harbors a secret crush on the FL, while the FL is strong, has her own friendships and admires the ML from far away. This premise was good enough to make me think this would be a lovely fresh school romcom that would mature a bit once the college part step in.

Unfortunately the drama wasn't able to deliver what promise and end up adding tons of typical silly clichés and draggy elements. Once reach the college the main leads are soon stuck in a friend zone loop where misunderstanding kept them to became a real couple for most of the drama. In the meanwhile we have to suffer tons of mean and repetitive tricks made by their antagonists, as also a futile love triangle.

In addition to this delusion the FL characterization was a mess, she was strong but she couldn't do anything without the ML's helping, once she fall for him she became a puppy lover, and her strong character was transform into a short/bad temper. Throwing away any possibility to mature a bit during college age.

the acting was at least enjoyable, at least most of them. Overall this is just another school romance were cute and silly counts more than a logical plot. But if you like romance, brace yourself cause nothing major will happens for many episodes.

All smiles all the time (≧▽≦)

Watch the drama. It is great! To avoid spoiling it, I won't write about the story. You just need to watch it yourself.

The acting, on the other hand, I have to write about.

Lu Zhao Hua (Gu Xiao Man), Liu Yu Han (Zuo An) and Xie Zhi Xun (Shen Chen Yang) were my reasons to smile when watching this drama.

LZH is the most adorable actress I have watched in a long while. I enjoyed every facial express (especially her cute pouts), every small gesture and every time to threatened to hit Zhan Yue. When she became the all powerful kickboxer around Zhan Yue and the complete 180 she would make whenever Zuo An was around made me enjoy her acting. She was A JOY to watch.

Then there was LYH and XZX as love rivals. Although Liu Yun Jun (Zhan Yue) was also part of that love square, he annoyed the life out of me. Which could attest to his acting skills or my hatred for annoying male second leads, but it probably the former. Zuo An was cold at first, then he began to thaw once he got to know (and fall deeper in love) with Gu Xiao Man. Then there was Shen Chen Yang whose character was very predictable, but was portrayed so well, I did not care how clichéd his storyline was. XZX's habit of saying, "Gu Xiao Man" with his chin jutting out (ʃƪ＾3＾）(ʃƪ＾3＾）(ʃƪ＾3＾）*sigh*

I (almost) don't want to watch their other dramas because I would hate to ruin the wonderful image in my mind (and heart).

Although i enjoyed the drama, its the same recipe of they lived happily ever after. Not that im complaining just that 24/32 of hiding their feelings is a bit drag. When they finally got together, he’s either rustling with his childhood friend who likes him or she’s workin hard for her dream with both few minutes of them dating in the library or the sea or his house. Then they get their 7min happy ever after at the last ep

What i like abt the drama is that they equally liked each other, money was not an issue so no greedy relatives, they have cool set of friends, no nonsense drama except for sunning lols, it showed that LdR can work with present day technology and how they show the value of hard work and stated the fact that even hard work or your strong desire for something would not always go to your advantage. Of course there’s nonsense here & there like i still dont get if zhou an’s parents are divorced cos they live in separate countries, how med school in china is coz they seem to be in med proper straight from highschool (Human dissection at 1st sem , really?) but its bearable. Ive watched this later than love equation so im havin their feels here coz their college walkway with benches looks similar. Lols
It was a cute drama. Aside from sunning all characters were cute. Inspite being boyish the actress is very pretty esp when she became a doctor. He bff in highschool yaoli and lina in college are both pretty too. I may rewatch certain cute scenes but not the whole drama

the story is boring dragged it a lot should have been 24ep. liked the FL character at first but annoying later. ML, i hated him very irritating. nothing much to story everything is cliche. music not bad. don't want to watch again waste of my time.the historical martial world setting scenes i enjoyed the most.support characters boring and very very annoying. major decisions like trauma cured in few minutes. when they are talking about the trauma the same incident happens and they see it and pooh the trauma gone as if it was never there and for very silly things which causes misunderstandings it will take till few episodes to resolve it. university friends are very shallow and spiteful in this drama. most of the FL and ML alone time which is like once in a blue moon they spend talking about others than themselves. the FL and ML just go along with others which is very irritating. i liked the FL acting in the historical setting scenes she was cute and more charming than the in the actual drama.

Similar to ALSB & ISWAK, but more boring and chaste

Likes: Lu ZHao Hua looked good doing the action scenes. The chemistry was sweet between the OTP

Dislikes: The WAY too slow romantic progression between the leads. If you had a race between the leads confessing against a snail moving across your room...the snail would win. The slow pace made the drama way too long. Also, I think this is more for a tween audience as the buildup leads to basically hand holding and kiss fake outs.

This story is one that's been used over and over with a few modifications: Not so smart FL who can't stand injustice follows her crush the quiet studious handsome ML to medical school. The modifications: The FL happens to excel at fighting. The ML has liked the FL since they were young. Instead of a love triangle, you have a love diamond.

I thought the chemistry was good between the OTP and I actually liked some of the side characters, but the pace was just too frustratingly slow that I kept hitting the FF button. I liked that they sort of showed the honeymoon phase of the relationship because too many dramas end right when the OTP finally get together, but it was too innocent for me.

No, just no. Don't get fooled by the promo photo nor trailer, just stop while you're ahead. Wtf is this drama even?! This has to have had been watched during Covid lockdown cause otherwise it doesn't make sense why so many people has viewed this! The highschool portion of this drama was tolerable, college meh and it went down from their. Bravo to the actors for acting in this terribly written drama, they actually left a good impression on me. If I have to hear that nauseating Zou An one more time... Omg (nails on chalkboard)!!!! 😩😩😩 Best line out of this entire drama besides Zou An's pickup lines is "No way. No door. No Window" Yaola

Romantic

While I'm watching Chinese drama. Thier is a drama that has been suggested to me which is, "All I want for love is you". i love the cover photo on it so, it catches my eyes and Honestly, this is the first chinese drama that made me cry, laugh and romantic excitement. What i like of this drama is... They had classmate from nursery to university and it made me feel like, they are so special and sweet. I love it from the beginning to the end, a fighter and the genius. This drama is include medical so, thiers some scenes that pursue me to become a doctor and i also learn that no matter what happens if you like it, then grab it. If you like then pursue it, love it and don't be afraid. If you afraid on it, just think that your doing it just for the sake and health of others. Lastly, i like the hanfu clothes of Gu xiao man and Zou an. Hope you like it too guys😊😊❤️❤️! But I just dont like the ending but its okay, as long as zou an has been saved! I'm sincerely, satisfied! 😂❤️😊

One thing i really love is that this drama started during their highschool and ended during their work life. However, i really dont like the fact that it took a long time for both of them to finally confessed to each other about they filling. Each time they're gonna confess to each other, something or someone will always disturb them, and this really frustrated me. But for me the frustration are worth it when both of them become a couple because they are the sweetest couple ever. Even though come another men to pursue her, but she always loyal and same for the male lead.
