Heartwarming + healing kit when you are feeling down

I was fortunate enough to watch this drama after Till the End of the Moon (cast has the same main leads) because it has tons of parallels and references even though Love is Sweet was created years before. I found Love is Sweet the perfect antidote when you are feeling down and need a good sweet, heartwarming drama to light up your day and make you laugh.

The chemistry between the main leads is off the charts, they deliver the romance perfectly, the comedy, the mix of angst and passion. If you love bickering main leads with love-hate relationship - you will definitely love these two. Male lead is a cunning and confident businessman who is secretly afraid the woman he has liked since childhood will reject him. Female lead is a level-headed and no-nonsense woman entering the business world who deep down is sensitive and kind in nature. The two were childhood frenemies but after a misunderstanding lost touch with each other. Years later they meet in the business world and the male lead truly chases the female lead in secret, trying everything he can to get close to her and win her heart.

There is a second couple who is the opposite of the main leads because the girl is the one with the secret crush and chasing after the guy. The girl is a hopeless romantic whereas the guy is a scientific geek. There is also a typical second male lead who is the male lead's rival in the business world and tries to get with the female lead.

If there is one thing to take from this review is that I wholeheartedly recommend this drama as it's totally worth the watch!

History and Chemistry

I may change the review depending on how this series goes. I like the ML since Ashes of Love he can really act well and the FL I've seen her before in other series like the world owes me a first love and I think she acts really well. BUT Riley Wang is just cute I have been following him since Attention Love.

The story is a typical drama trope childhood frenemies who separated. And the ML has feelings for the FL but the FL is oblivious. They meet again years later... But because od their past the FL has some prejudice against our ML but I find him sweet.

So far it's not boring and their chemistry is so good. Those finger hearts and sticker photos almost killed me. I kinda feel bad for the ML when they took that nostalgic photo and he pulled her hair but she doesn't remember it. I wonder howbshe would realize his feelings but we allsaw taht trailer right? I just can't wait for her to fall in love with him.

I like the extra scenes at the end like you see snippets of how their relationship was before they separated.

Can't say much about the 2nd couple not much screen time yet but seriously I won't consider working part time in a place just because of some perfect guy is a regular. Not now anyway. We have experienced one sided crushes but it makes me curious how their story will go.

The ost of this series is good.
As for rewatch value haha i have repeated it already from episode 1. Need I say more?

FL misunderstanding with ML

The cast is good, but the story plot is too ordinary. I'm watching because the cast & acting. The acting is good.

The ML is sweet & very intelligence but sometime seems stupid to make our FL misunderstanding him so many times. The ML character is different from his previous drama in Ashes of Love & Princess Silver which look calm & pathetic.

In this drama the FL is so cute, can not forget her in her previous drama The Legends as Zhao Yao that look like evil character and has strong aura. Hope both of them play more different character.

As for story, the plot is ordinary about secret love towards childhood friend . Something new is FL disease, tear allergy. In the past there's so many drama with amnesia, then germphobia or OCD. Maybe tear allergy will lead to a new disease trends in drama.

Cute and Funny Couple

People say there is no friendly relationship between man and woman without love in it. That's what happened to Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai. For ten years, Yuan Shuai harbored feelings of love for Jiang Jun, even though they separated because of the situation. Ten years later, Jiang Jun entered the company where Yuan Shuai worked, and he got a second chance.

This drama is funny and fun. There isn't a single episode without me getting excited (and laughing a lot too) seeing the relationship between Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun, especially after episode 20, when the two of them were officially dating. Unfortunately, this happiness did not last long, because the main problem arose, namely Lin Taimo, the mastermind behind Jiang Jun's father's death.

Yuan Shuai looked annoying at first, but it was all for Jiang Jun's good, because he understood what challenges Jiang Jun had to face in that company. But Jiang Jun never gave up, and he was successful enough to stay in the company.

Du Lei, the second man, looked cute in the first half of the drama, but when he started planning to separate Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai, I started to lose sympathy for him.

I am not too interested in the story between Xu Li and Li Xiaochuan, their story seems to be covered in shadow because the main story between Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun is more interesting and adorable.

Definitivamente um dos melhores casais que eu vi em seriados chineses/coreanos

Embora eu tenha gostado da história, eu acabei dando 8 porque ela é um pouco clichê. De qualquer forma, mesmo não sendo original, eu particularmente gosto desse tipo de seriado, então não posso dar uma nota ruim rs.
Um fator de destaque do seriado é o personagem masculino do casal principal (Yuan Shuai), sério, não tem como não se apaixonar por ele. Isso porque ele protege, respeita e incentiva a mulher que ele ama, fazendo com que a gente sonhe em achar um cara desses na vida real.
Outro ponto positivo do cdrama foi a química do casal principal, sério, eles arrasaram juntos (teve de beijo tosco até beijo com pegação). Na minha opinião, eles estão no top 5 deste quesito. Eu me diverti horrores com eles, porque as cenas dos dois "brigando" são sempre engraçadinhas e, nos últimos episódios 10 mais ou menos, elas se tornam hilárias.
Gostei bastante das atuações de todos os atores, mas vou dar um destaque pro ator de Mr. Du, porque ele tinha um olhar que transmitia muitas emoções (possessão, ironia etc).
No geral, recomendo muito, porque o seriado trouxe um romance muito fofo e com cenas bem divertidas - destaque para o pedido de casamento.

MEU CASAL!

Bai Lu e Luo Yunxi, a atuação deles é incrível, tem tanta química, formam o casal perfeito! Esse romcom de friends-enemies to lovers, entre tapas e beijos, com a quantidade certa de flertes, de provocações e ousadias. É totalmente compreensível eles serem o único casal 100% de compatibilidade haha. A trilha sonora maravilhosa. Os personagens secundários são um tanto irritantes talvez, mas o casal principal sustenta muito bem! O problema foi que enrolaram muito no final, transformaram um personagem legal em vilão tóxico, sendo poderiam ter finalizado tranquilo em apenas 32 eps.

Ps: assistir esse drama depois de ver Till the End of the Moon, foi maravilhoso, de certa forma eles se completam! Vi muito do Taitai Jin no Yuan Shuai, quanto a Li Susu na Jiang Jun!

Love is Boring and Makes No Sense.

I don’t know if the FL gets better or not but for someone that’s supposedly smart, she is anything but. I can’t believe how many times the ML had to save her because of what she did. She is incredibly reckless and rash. She gets herself hired at a high stress job when she KNOWS she’s deathly allergic to tears, which makes no sense at all. ALSO, WHY DOESN’T SHE CARRY AN EPI PEN!.

I don’t get the hype of Bai Lu. There’s just something about her acting that screams - acting. I can never get into the story because it’s like she’s reading lines.

Chemistry Made-up

If you have watched the main actress in All her dramas like I do then you will understand she is a pro like the main guy who also starred in Ashes of Love. The chemistry pales in comparison with the kissing and chemistry in the The Legends (same actress). Their kissing is generic although better than most Chinese drama. It’s very clean and romantic. Overall, it’s a cute live story, but if you have watched many Koreans and Taiwanese drama, then the plot is not really a sizzler.

Pro:
- great acting but same old expressions from their old drama. Not bad although the main guy looks really lame. He looked okey in his other drama and he’s ok. Alright.
- some original plot but nothing unusual. Korean dramas also have the bathroom thrill, office love, etc.

Cons
- chemistry is so-so. Same old acting
-repetitive location.

Intriguing Story Line

The story focuses around the FL, Jiang Jun, who suffers from an extremely rare disease: extreme anaphylactic reactions to her own tears.

The ML, Yuan Shuai, is a young extremely talented finance banking business man who grew up with the FL acting as her guardian/protector.

Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding between the two, they part ways in high school and don't see each other again until after college.

Jiang Jun and meet each other again when our FL applies for a job at the company where the ML holds a high position, and the misunderstandings ensue.

The 2nd ML, Du Lei, has his interest sparked in Jiang Jun when he believes that his business rival, Yuan Shuai, is dating her.

His motives seem questionable, as does his character.... until we are introduced to the 2nd FL who constantly accompanies him. The 2nd FL's relationship to him seems murky, unclear, and slightly sensual... until it's revealed what her real position in his life is.

The 2nd ML, Du Lei, has such in interesting and chaotic background, one hopes that his story has a good ending.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai stumbled through misunderstandings both hilarious and challenging.
