The condition of Taichi, Juri's grandfather, suddenly changes when he collapses. Fortunately, he is stable but his terminal cancer, that Shuzo hasn't told him he has, is causing Juri's eating disorder. Under Midori's persuasion, Shuzo tells Juri that he will be informing his father of the anti-cancer drug treatment but that it could also be rather painful despite medicine improvements from the time Shuzo's mother underwent treatment. Taichi, who has just three months left to live, decides he wants to spend time with his family rather than be hospitalized.
