My greatest companion throughout my self-quarantine!

When I first heard that I was tested positive for Covid and had to basically distance myself from everyone in my family, I was a little stressed out. I needed something light and fluffy to watch, something that could make me forget about all the bad things I had in my mind. My Roommate is a Gumiho is the first ongoing drama I watched in a very long time. I stopped watching ongoing dramas, but I knew I had to start watching one again for My Roommate is a Gumiho.

I wasn’t really interested on watching this drama, but as I saw my brother laughing out loud and getting invested in this drama, I had to start watching it too. So I started this right away on my first day of self-quarantine. And, it CLEARLY succeeds in making me laugh out loud! I watched this as I eat, as I rest, I just binged this drama all day long. The first 8 episodes were just epic and funny and everything nice! I just loved every characters here, from the famous Lee Dam and Mr Gumiho, Hye Sun, Jae Jin and Soo Kyung.

The 8 episodes were completed so fast, and I had to wait for more episodes. That’s when I decided to watch Reply 1988 as well, since I’m just so so so in love with Hyeri’s incredibly natural acting. Watching Reply 1988 with all the famous actors like Ryu Jun Yeol and Park Bo Gum acting with Hyeri made it seem like Jang Ki Yong’s acting wasn’t that great. I continued watching Episode 11-14, and my interest in this drama slowly died down, there were no longer much funny scenes, and Jang Ki Yong’s acting was a little too stiff for my taste. This wasn’t what I signed up for! What kept me going was the side characters being more interesting than the main couple. Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri had excellent chemistry, they look like a great couple indeed, but compared to the lively Hyeri being so natural in her acting, the flat Jang Ki Yong’s acting doesn’t look that good, let alone the fact that he had to look a little sick for the storyline in some episodes. The two female bullies, Da Young and Seo Jin’s acting was not so great either, but it doesn’t really bother me since they were not the main roles.

The cameos here were terrific! Those who watched Reply 1988 would be so thrilled watching this drama. And the other cameos were great as well! Many famous actors and actresses appeared in this drama, and it was interesting finding them here!

I really hoped for a nice ending, and I definitely got one! I finished Episode 15-16 yesterday and today, and it finally picked up my spirits back! Putting Kang Hanna, Kim Do Wan and Park Kyung Hye as important characters is a really excellent decision! Choi Woo Sung and Weki Meki’s Doyeon were great support characters as well! They made the drama even better and the scenes a lot funnier and entertaining. The funny scenes came back, and all the fluffiness came back. Thank God I was so used to tvN making a whole new conflict last minute! The last episode made up for the few boring episodes and to sum up, this drama was a great watch! The OSTs were super great as well! Overall, a 9/10, truly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Satisfying to watch and bingeworthy!

As someone who really liked the webtoon that the show was based on, I was really satisfied with the first two episodes. Although there were some cuts that I found awkward and a bit cringy, I think the show is worth watching. The casting was also PERFECT. I loved Lee Hye Ri in Reply 1988 so I guess I'm a bit biased, but casting her for Lee Dam was genius. She nailed all the scenes that made me laugh in the webtoon as well. Kang Han Na was also superb and brought a different side to her character which really surprised me (the good kind of surprise). I also liked Lee Dam's relationship with the two male leads. I haven't decided which male lead I like more yet. Anyway, if you want something light-hearted and funny. Watch it!
(Side note: Honestly, I highly recommend putting it off or saving episodes first so you can binge watch it. I'm dying to watch the next episodes now and I hate how I have to wait for more episodes.)

FUNNY AS HELL

I think that if you find the genres of romance and fantasy interesting you'll like this drama. It gives me very much DAYS vibes maybe combined with some aspects of Goblin so as a reference if you liked the two dramas I previously mentioned, you'll most likely enjoy this too.
This drama has a nice plot (as far as I can tell from the six episodes that have aired) and I believe it will get more interesting as one new character seems to be joining the story. Im really hoping for a nice and happy ending :) (UNLIKE YOU KNOW WHICH FANTASY-ROMANCE DRAMA THAT AIRED IN 2016!!!)
AHHH important note: you will laugh soooooo much in every episode.
Once again, I'm reviewing about the six episodes that have aired, so if you're reading this from the future and it gets boring or somebody dies (GOD PLEASE NO) please dont blame me!! and gooooo watch it rn!!!!!
PS: My only complaint is that it's still airing and I like to bingeeeeee

worst kdrama i've watched

Honestly, this drama was pretty bad. It was boring and I just can't stand the ML face he's not handsome. The FL is annoying she's trying way too hard to be funny. I forced myself to watch it, because of the good reviews. Kdramas are becoming disapoiting this days.

The FL should have chosen the SML he's way more handsome and interesting than the ML. Don't waste ur time on this one. You'll be disapointed.

I've never seen a character as annoying as the FML. She's not even pretty but she's acting like she's better than everyone else. She got way too much attitude.

Highly recommended

I wasn’t sure what to expect but after reading some raving reviews about it, I decided to give a try. And it’s a pleasant surprise. It’s a refreshing blend of mystery, fantasy, romance, etc. I certainly didn’t expect to laugh aloud at Hyeri’s comedic antics and gestures at episode 2. Almost had me in tears. Yes, indeed Jang Ki Yong is not your average gumiho. He is polite, composed, poised and charming. Wait till he meets Lee Hyeri, goofy, unrefined, unpolished with a heart of gold. Both of them shine in their roles. Bae In Hyuk is wow. Where did he come from? And all other supporting casts are equally good. Tune in for more!

AS OF NOW

So far i love how the story has been plotted......the cast shows a great impact to the characters....their acting from the dialogue, expression and the charm tends to make you feel like you are actually watching the scene on set....i love to see more exciting events or plots coming in to this drama...as of now i am really wondering why did Shin Woo-yeo (Jang Ki-yong) still holding Lee Dam (Hyeri) that he already knows how to take the fox marble from Lee Dam's possession...Does it because he's hoping that Lee Dam is the key to make his wish of becoming a human come true? Or does he already falling from her? That is what we need to find out... so if you havent given this drama a time to watch, i greatly recommend it..i promise this is worth watching😁😁😁

I love to see how this drama would end but i wish this drama would last a pretty long time that i am expecting more episode and season
