Alien Girl, Chai Xiao Qi 2 (2022)

Honestly been so long I watched a drama soo good with good chemistry between main lead couples as well as the second lead couples. Hope they make season 3. I loved S2 more than S1. Gonna miss xiao xi, feng leng, xiao bu & feng lie

I loved the main couple. They had amazing chemistry

Feng leng has become more charismatic in S2

I liked the friendships in the drama - I liked
xiao xi- xiao bu,
xiao xi , xiao bu and chai,
Feng leng - han,
Doctor - feng leng,
Feng leng - feng lie bromance
I liked the friendships between all of them..

I honestly don't like Love triangles. So I was happy feng lie didn't chase xiao xi, instead had a robot gf. Feng lie and xiao bu were so innocent and cute

I liked how after it rained feng leng forgets all girls but remembers only xiao xi

I was pissed off at the love triangle after shiyi entered. But I could understand him and I hope he ended up with candy after last ep. Still the love triangle wasn't annoying cos both leads only like each other and not others

I was not liking the step mom but felt pleasant that she became a good person

I liked chai and the doctor too and loved how chai chased the doctor

Honestly all the three couple were cute - chai doctor, xiao bu feng lie and xiao xi feng leng.

Loved the vibe if this drama. A feel good drama totally recommend it

This is just a simple romance drama with simple plot and not many confusing storyline and conflicts. As with the first season, I thought this drama would be more interesting if her "alien-ness" blending in with the human world is explored more. If not because of Xiao Bu's holographic computer monitor like, I sometimes forget that Xiao Qi is an alien and not human. They should have explored it more (like Third Rock From The Sun), it would be much better. But that's just my opinion. For me, this is just an okay drama. I have to admit that I didn't watch with 100% concentration, but even then I can still follow the storyline. If you like a simple romance drama, you would like this one. But for me, this is just mindless watching, one that I managed to finish but kept it as background sound while I'm doing something else. If I have to choose, I like the first season better than this one.

Just a sweet love story

I waited in high anticipation for Season 2 since I enjoyed Season 1 so much. However the Plot is a disappointment to me. I was expecting a different storyline but it seem they just re-enacted the whole S1 minus the villain. The only strong point that made me finish all 30 episode is the cast. Everyone did a great job! , I think Wan Peng has improved so much. Secretary Han is so cute. His acting is on point. Bie always delivers of coz. & I love Xiao Pu too. She is cute & bubbly but not overdone.

The only story that is ShiYi. His acting is good. Not to mention that he is very good looking. I need to check his other dramas.
So glad they didn’t focus too much on that annoying uncle & his bad tricks to destroy Fang Leng.

S2 is most enjoyable for fans of S1.
But u dun hv to watch S1 in order to understand S2.

I would not rewatch this drama though.

Refine story plot than season 1

In this second season, I think the writer just refine the story from season 1
I thought they will be back at the current time but stuck at 2018
please prepare for 2nd lead syndrome i think he really deserves better

butttt this drama to many cheesy scenee that make unnecessary
sometimes i just skip because too many love scene that makes its cringe

but i really like 2nd couple relay its just like normal couple without to many cheesy scene that make me uncomfortable

sometime i feels writer just want to shoot the drama because want to finish s1 ending

Few points of the drama I liked but rest parts were boring for me.

Drama has started with their marriage and suddenly she had been called back to her planet where opposed her to get marry with a human . She had been accused with the blame that she forgot her mission and decieved her planet members so she must be published.

This part confused me that in last secene of the last part of first season had shown that she had come back to his life and told him that his planet members allowed her to live on earth and gave permission to get marry with the person to whom she loves so why suddenly they called her back and showed anger her.

But one of her friend requested to forgive her and send her back to accomplish her mission with the promise in return that he will keep an eye on her. So when she went back to earth ,she had no memory with him . They deleted her all memories with him. In her way to earth something had happened and she reached in past wher he also didn't know her. At the time of rain he had some glimpses of their time which they both had spent together .

This thing was also confusing that evry time when rained he had some glimpse of his past in actually he didn't faced . She came in his past so their memories of togetherness in actual not has happened yet but still during rain he saw all the things which in real not has happened.

She regain all her memories but he didn't though he saw many glimpses of their life .she got her memories back but he didn't so what was this ? After seeing so many images of their life he didn't get back his memory so why there is a need to show the glimpse of their time.

All three couples were good and cute .
Above mentioned points make the drama bored and baseless at some point.
Rest was good.

Slightly Better Than The First Season

Do you need to watch the first season before watching this one? Well, only if you want to understand why Ep 1 of S2 starts like that and the flashbacks from S1, though it only happens a few times, mostly towards the second half of the drama. Otherwise, if that doesn't bother you much, you'll be okay as the plot is about the same.

I personally like this season over the first one. Though I still have to give the story plot a 3/5 stars because it's mainly a copy from the first season. However, there are some things that I liked that they did better in this season.
* Fang Leng & Fang Lie have a great stepbrother relationship
* Though Fang Leng still has his weaknesses, he's a much stronger character here and suffers less. He has more character personality here than the 1st season
* Xiao Qi, while she still has her dumb moments, she has a lot more smart and sneaky moments as well.
* Romance: I can sense more of the love Xiao Qi has for Fang Leng here than I did in S1. It felt like she instantly loved Fang Leng towards the end in S1 but here, it ended up being a gradual liking of Fang Leng. Also, Fang Lie has his own love instead of being in the love triangle with the leads in S1. Three couples in total.
* Xiao Bu has a human form and not just being a turtle.
* The sisterly bond of the 3 ladies.
* The evilness still exists in this drama but has toned down a bit
* Ending was way better than the S1. A picture-perfect ending.

Things I didn't like:
* Bad guys don't get punished for their evil deeds: This is still the same from the first season unfortunately
* Change of heart of the bad guys without any scenes showing remorse or apology. This doesn't make sense to me as it seems like they don't acknowledge what they did was wrong.
* Poor writing for the character Shi Yi: Either make him a villain or a good supportive guy, not in the middle. He had moments where he seemed like a good guy questioning his planet's missions but other times, he longs for power and his one-sided crush.
* Forgettable snobby girl who likes Fang Leng: This girl was useless as she just disappeared from the drama completely after being in a few episodes, being fake nice and eventually rude to Xiao Qi. You can easily take her character out and nothing would change. Not even worthy to be consider a SFL or part of a love triangle. Not sure why the writers included her.

While it's not a top 2022 favorite for me, it's still a funny drama overall. Sure the pervy scenes might be a bit too much and there are some frustrations within the first 15 episodes but still a decent drama to watch in your spare time.

What's up with Wen Peng?

B. Hsu worked real hard to make audience believe that alien girls are hot, sexy, more desirable than earth girls. Here come Wen Peng, anything but sexy, hot, desirable, feminine, and even clean! She did her best elementary school age girl impersonation. Her hair was always oily, messy, and seems to be balding. Don't get me started on her kissing... reminds of a child kissing a stuff animal or a puppy dog! And the white boots and same white stalkings she wore for 30 episodes even to bed. I think someone forgot to tell her that the alien was not a kid with a crush on the teacher. Same goes for the robot friend of hers. Yaks! Cringe worthy at best. Do Chinese girls love fried chicken so much? Do Chinese men actually turned on by greasy chicken smelling mouth of girls? Yes, it is truly believable that an alien actually comes to earth to touch man boobs, extract male hormones, eat fried chicken and fall in love with a guy who buys her fried chicken on every date. Yaks.

Exceeds my expectations

Just great!
A sweet sweet romance, humor, a hint of science fiction, a very good chemistry between the main couple,... what more do you want?

The production is dynamic, without length, the story well constructed and the actors are brilliant + Bie has a voice as tender and attractive as his character (he sings several times in this series).

I really liked season 1, I h've binge watched season 2, and I won't say no to a season 3 :)

Une douce romance douce, de l'humour, un soupçon de science-fiction, une très bonne alchimie entre le couple principal,... que voulez-vous de plus ?
La réalisation est dynamique, sans longueur, l'histoire bien construite et les acteurs sont géniaux et Bie a une voix aussi tendre et attractive que son personnage (il chante à plusieurs reprises dans cette série).

J'avais beaucoup aimé la saison 1, j'ai binge watché la saison 2, et je ne dirai pas Non à une saison 3 :)

Season 1 was better.

It's similar to season 1, similar scenes, unnecessarily drawn out. And the romance wasn't much in the first place, I thought the chemistry between them was better in the first season. It seemed to me that they didn't even have to do the second series when they were imitating the first one.Xiao qi was back in time and met Fang Leng again and even she didn't remember him it's like in the first season where she chases him everywhere and he's cold to her then he falls in love with her and she falls in love with him then they repeat the same thing like in the first season, it is unnecessarily long. And those scenes were not as good as in the first season. I was looking forward to the second season, but I was disappointed, I expected more

A perfect lovey dovey drama with aperfect ending !!!

What is so perfect abt the second season??????
1.After loosing her / his memory it was not hectic to watch & was maintained as a temporary part.
2. The Al into human .
3. Finally a good friendship bond between Xiao qi &jiang shiyi at the end rather competing with Fang leng
4 . A most perfect ending ever , a happy and complete family for our earthlings ?
5. Both fang leng , xiaoqi & fang lie , xiaobu got to spend a lot of good time with each other .
Funfact :-
6. The AI xiobu into human & with high temperature into tortoise and coming back to normal form when cool down in ice or in water ..... both xiaobu & his child having same feature.
7. Fang leng & xioqi having 2 childrens which are carbon copy to them ??

It's really worth it . Actually the first drama I had watch was the first season of my girlfriend is an alien . I was really touched by the story as well as the acting. My love for dramas a started from here. So when I heard that there will be a 2nd season I was really very excited and also very curious if it would live up to my standard of the first season. For me the first season was really very good. I started believing in love bcz of this. So plz anyone who have not watched it go and watch it. The 2nd season is also very good . The story is also good. We can relate it some where with the first season. So plz do watch this drama season 1 and 2. It will be worth it ?.
