I really liked it overall but the ending felt rushed a bit.

Aside from a major oversight in the fifth episode, this is the best-written kdrama I've watched so far. As in, things make sense, characters don't do stupid, out of character things, and there aren't really annoying tropes overstaying their welcome.

I have to commend this show for relentlessly going for so many "hiding in plain sight" scenes, even when they're not done all that well (look, not just about anyone can do it like Tsui Hark). But I love them so much, any excuse to include them is a good excuse in my book.

Mostly because of this, the first couple of episodes are seriously laugh-out-loud hilarious.

I really liked it overall but the ending felt rushed a bit.

The Netflix subs were wonderful, far better than what I am used to with Korean/Chinese content (Credits to a certain Su-In Choi apparently). It's not easy to contextualize humor in different languages and I was so glad to "get" some jokes that I definitely wouldn't have gotten with lesser quality subtitles (so, around 95% of the subs I get).

And finally, lead actress Kim Se-jeong's performance was easily the highlight of this show. From her mastery of subtle facial cues to inflated emotional deliveries, she was outstanding.

not worth the hype

its a romcom cliche . the story is so much like the fanfics you will read in wattpad. the acting was good and overall its a cutesy drama. the story is not intesnse and its pretty laughable with few cringe moments. but i dont think its that good, and i dont undertsnad its hype. its old romcom and if it was released when i was 10 year old then maybe i would have loved it but now, story matters a lot and this is just not it. the story is very repitative, main lead with childhood trauma, poor fenale lead, gets together because she needs money, male lead is not romantic but falls in love w her. i think you can watch it if u need a break from instense dramas and want to watch something light-hearted.

cliche yet great

i read this on tapas and seriously, i prayed that the series will give justice to the webtoon and uh, well, it's great. I laughed real hard that i have to stop myself from bursting it out cause i know my parents will knock on my door! HAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA this story is so refreshing and cliche. it's cute and pleasing in the eyes. the male lead is my new crush! i just felt bad for the best friend hehe. he lost his chance haha. and also, public view is really important in life eh? and why does this need 500 characters huhu

FL's Change and Classicisation

This story started off really great. FL was a great character. She was confident, cool and unique with a mysterious side. It made perfect sense for ML to fall in love with her. But then FL started to turn into a classic, typical, unoriginal romantic drama woman. At this point, all the burden fell on ML and the more caring and loving ML was, the more watchable the series became.
In fact, in one scene towards the end, the chemistry between ML and the second FL felt more attractive and believable.

Overall a good series, not much to say. I watched all the episodes, which is difficult for me. I was only upset that the original and different female character turned into a clichéd female character. After all, we suffer a lot from the lack of original and different female characters in romantic series.

Of course, there are a lot of cliché scenes. We are used to them now and we don't find them strange.

Me prendeu do início ao fim.

the perfect rom-com

this show made me so happy! the plot was interesting and straight to the point, without too many unnecessary additions and side stories. the casting was amazing and so were the characters! perfect writing for each one of the main leads that created a perfect match.
the show is not too long and not too short, and watching it was not exhausting or boring at any point. every episode was interesting, fun and beautiful. i have rewatched it before and i will 100% rewatch it again!
i highly recommend watching this show with your loved one or with your friends!

Pretty much what I expected

I ended up binging this when I needed something stupid (affectionate) and hilarious as a palate cleanser. It was basically exactly what I needed and what I expected.

I have the usual grievances when it comes to plot points not making sense (Tae-moo being hospitalized for a... not even broken arm?? Which he uses just fine when he leaves? Lol sure, and Sung-hoon commenting on why someone who can see just fine needs glasses when he... LITERALLY DOES THE SAME 😂) and some cultural... expectations? that translate into plot points. The acting was cute and believable for the most part, except my one pet peeve - Tae-moo's hair brushing gesture, don't ask me why, just didn't feel real to me! Also Ahn Hyeo Seop is scarily thin (in this?)?? Like, not sure it's sexy to be able to see your RIBS from your BACK!? (But that is... generally speaking, that industry in that country, so.)

Anyway the plot is predictable but fun, the couples are cute, and the friendships even cuter. I enjoyed watching this but not my cup of tea for a rewatch, but for the fans of romance and fake dating trope enthusiasts, I think you'll have a good time.

Detto tutto no?

Wasted 9 hours of my life

I have zero clue what's to like here. Void, empty, full of cliches, and meaningless. The main girl is supposedly likeable because she's 'different' but as far as I can tell she's literally just your average girl. The romance isn't believable either. The whole love at first sight stuff is so tiring and I dislike it immensely. The main girl's whole thing is she's supposed to be 'so different' but there is nothing she does that's particularly out of the norm or unusual. The bit where he pretends to be her bf in front of their friends isn't too far off the vibe of the actual romance.

I found the directing was awful and over the top emoting (no doubt at the director's behest) extremely tacky.

Oh and lastly the entire show sometimes seems to me to be just one big product placement. The vit C spray thing, face stick, bomb shots...

Your typical rich CEO falls in love with the middle class/lower middle class girl

It's literally not anything new but it's still so good. Every single scene is so painfully similar to every other cliche K-drama out there but it still is very good (I think all K-drama fans are immune to this kind of stuff atp). Btw, I don't really focus on OSTs and such so don't trust my rating on that, I don't remember a single song from this drama or other ones I watched unless I REALLY like it. Not gonna lie it did make me roll my eyes sometimes, but then again I've done that to almost everything. I did get bored sometimes, but as I said it's probably cause we've seen it all before. But it definitely was funny, sometimes I would end up laughing and repeating a scene for five minutes

The first six episodes of Business Proposal were literally everything. Lots of supremely well-used tropes that were equally well-subverted. I was constantly laughing at the humor, and anxiously awaiting the eventual romance. But something felt off in eps 7 and 8, something I couldn't put my finger on, so I did something I tell myself never to do, and I looked up spoilers. And I'm honestly glad I did, because they put their finger on what it was that felt off to me.

Somewhere in ep 7/8, the writers forgot that their drama was trying to use classic Kdrama tropes differently, and they pivoted to taking classic tropes too seriously, thus creating unnecessary angst. What I got through with 7 and 8 certainly couldn't be compared to the level of angst in a classic early to mid 2000's Kdrama, but it was a very definite tonal shift, and not one I liked. What's worse though is that the eventual story choices I read about were not something that made sense in regard to the characters. They sounded like obvious attempts at adding drama in a story that had been rather delightfully drama-free most of its run. They also just sounded like a waste of our character's time. I mean, the writers had a perfect opportunity to subvert the classic 'family doesn't approve' trope, and they Didn't take it. How uproariously hilarious would it have been for grandpa to pretend he didn't approve of their romance as a little bit of payback for them hiding it from him?

Armed with the knowledge of things to come, I decided to drop Business Proposal. But it's all good, cause Legally Romance (Cdrama) is doing all of the things with my heart right now, and I'm totally okay with it, lol.

A complete messed up production!

Recommended by few friends and high rating just flushed my all expectations in the gutter!

Nothing new in this drama. The story is just nonsense. Recent drama trends are kind of worrisome for me being a drama-lover. Why either of ML and FL have to be orphan with a tons of inherited money! I just dont get this so-common theme now-a-days! Either ML and FL must have to have a childhood trauma, child prodigy, workaholic to the psychic limit, etc etc why they cant be normal people? Being an anime lover the episode 1 just raised my hope high but not soon enough the next few episodes just ended all future possibilities to enjoy this drama. The episode 1 starts with an introduction of perfect ML with too PERFECT image which just started to sway off in next few episodes. And at the end it is just a good looking guy with tons of money, thats it! No character development, no moral values: presenting a completely nonsense character! [ if there was a aftermath of the story; I wont be surprised if that will start with the ML's whole company went to bankrupt in next few years]

This drama is just a collection of good looking actor-actress and nonsense plot. It is imperative to say that "over-acting" became synonym of "comedy" now a days. The mother of FL just won the trophy in such context. I probably enjoyed till the episode 4. After that this show was just unbearable! They try to produce a romantic-comedy and failed horribly. The acting was so cheap! You can see that the male lead is having just "one kind" of expression throughout the whole drama, that is: "making eyes bigger" whether surprised/ annoyed/ impressed... for all emotions its literally same expression. The FL is also so poor in acting! I remember her work in "School 2017" and she improved nothing since then.
The 2nd couple were more impressive to me and collecting all of their scenes together sums up a LOGICAL short story. In episode 11 the FL's dad vs ML conversation was the first ever sincere scene with a good script, I would say. Other than that this is a very bad production!

Now, this is another drama which just proves that the drama with good rating in MDL are not supposed to be really "a good" production. In other words it just supports "Dont judge a book from its cover": "dont judge a drama from its MDL rating"

ONLY THANKFUL FOR IT BEING A SHORT 12-EPISODE NIGHTMARE! HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTING!!
