(Might be biased but) one of the best dramas I've seen in 2021-early 2022 (or ever?)

I had put this on my watchlist ever since I heard the news that Wi Hajoon is playing in this drama, and reading the synopsis made me excited. A while after that I completely forgot about it until the posters, teasers, and trailers started to come out. I had completely forgot that K was supposed to be Suyeol's alter and didn't bother coming back to rea the synopsis, already too excited looking at the pre-show contents and speculating on my own, of course to have the theories broken down realizing he's Suyeol's alter. But, it was so much better than my theories, and anything that I could think of, so I wasn't complaining (well, maybe I did because there were a lot of confusing scenes with Suyeol and K but I just concluded that it was what's going on in Suyeol's mind and that's fine by me, and tbh I think the scenes are very cool and I guess were overall a pretty cool concept)

I really enjoyed watching the whole drama. I kept looking forward to my fridays and saturdays because of the drama. Every time the episode ends, it just left me so curious impatient for the next episode. Thinking about it and making theories about what would happen next, what's the backstory of everything, even just thinking about that made me genuinely excited and happy. Seeing Suyeol and K's bickering, their teamwork, seeing their cool fight scenes, their touching, sad backstory made me go through such a roller coaster. And I loved every single moment of it. Sometimes I would rewatch an episode, maybe watch the scenes memorable to me because I couldn't wait for the next. It's that good, at least to me.

It was my fault for just reading the synopsis but not the genre. I got fooled thinking it has comedy in the genre because of how fun the trailers looked. And of course though a lot of scenes were pretty funny, I didn't expect the drama to be so... much darker, deeper, and sadder. A lot of it was just because of the main characters themselves. Wishing for K to stay with Suyeol to the ending of the drama was impossible, but I still did. After promising that he would leave on the condition that Suyeol would help Huigyeom, I got so sad. A few episodes later when K looked at Suyeol proudly after Suyeol had fought Gyesik made me cry. It was nice to see them be nice and soft, but it made me so sad because I was genuinely scared that K would leave. When he left Suyeol who was stabbed, I panicked, thinking what if it was really his last moment in the drama, completely forgetting the fact that he's the second lead in the drama. Throughout the episode whenever Suyeol thought of K, he didn't cry but I did. When K came back to save him, he didn't cry but I definitely did. And his last goodbye definitely made me cry. No matter how many times I watch that episode, that scene, I can't not cry watching that. It could be because I was biased because of Hajoon that I did, but I can't help but think that it's not because it's Hajoon, it's because of K. Throughout the drama just like Suyeol, I got really attached to K. He was mischievous, righteous, and soft hearted, and he did beat Suyeol up in the first episode (a lot) but, him turning out to be Suyeol's protector alter made sense. I had always felt that, as he always comes out whenever Suyeol needs him. Maybe that was the reason I got so attached to K. And because I got attached to him, now I'm really a big fan of Wi Hajoon. He, (of course along with every cast and staff) did so well for this drama and I really hope they know how many people appreciate this drama. If only tvn has year end award shows, i really feel like they would snatch a couple of categories awards, since thats how good it is.

Last but not least, the OST. there's only 4, and I absolutely enjoyed them all (well, track 4 didnt really stand out to me that much because it was a slow one, but it was still nice to hear, but it's not my cup of tea), and out of the 4, my favorite would have to be BUMP! Hearing the heavy screams in that song genuinely shocked me, but it was also one of the reasons it's my favorite. Well, I don't think I'm a big kdrama fan, as I usually just watch the ones with my favorite actors, and I definitely rarely look up OSTs, a lot of times because I wasn't interested enough. But that song was genuinely amazing. It's definitely one of my favorite genres that I hear a lot from my favorite western bands, so hearing it in a kdrama OST was a little shocking but it made me happy and excited. I wish to hear more OSTs with that type of heavy band sound, surely in an amazing action drama (Would be nice if my favorite actors play in another good action drama like this)

This drama is what the title says Bad and Crazy. I loved the detective storyline and it brings awareness to those who have dual personalities or alter egos. Everyone has a good and bad side of themselves and some have bad and crazy in themselves. Lee Dong Wook (Ryu Soo Yeol) I love this actor and he is good at playing the character in this drama. Wi Ha Joon ("K"), I have to applaud this actor for his acting in the character he played. These two main leads, what a great collaboration. Actress Han Ji Eun (Lee Hee Kyum) played a strong lead and she was awesome. Cha Hak Yeon (Oh Kyung Tae) poor CHY he had was injured so many times I felt sorry for him but he became strong in the end. Amazing visuals, and a great storyline, I wish this was a recurring series. Thanks to all the Bad and Crazy team and the other supporting actors and actresses.

Good and Crazy

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this drama. It was a really fun watch. All the actors did such a good job, besides its inconsistencies it was truly a good and fun watch. It’ starts off like your typical police drama. But develops to a more serious note. If you don’t care for potholes and are there just for the good vibes you will love this! I am not one to usually say things like these but I wish there was a season 2.

I think it was a nice change we don’t usually get corrupt protagonists so I loved that the protagonists was a dirty cop. And ou see him slowly making better decisions as the story proceeds given him a good redemption arc. I would’ve love to see at least one more kiss scene that was lovely lol. and K omg i lovedddddddd k he was so funny and all the fighting scenes were amazing.

Protagonists was bruised the entire 12 episodes lol.

Czysta definicja szaleństwa! ?

Niemniej jednak Kim Sae Bom był skłonny dodać narracji akcentu retro poprzez pełne akcji eskapady K i Su-Yeol stawiające czoła nieudolnym i brutalnym bandytom, skazańcom i przeciwnikom w cotygodniowych odcinkach.

Ogólnie: Drama jest fajna. Zawiera elementy komedii. Odcinki mogły być krótsze, a policja mogła działać skuteczniej. Serial przyjemny :)

Was it worth it?

I started to watch this just cuz Lee Dong Wook is the main actor in this drama. Didn't really know what to expect but anything he played in is pretty good to watch, at least giving it a chance is a thing. At the beginning it was kinda ordinary and bit pissing me off because of the society and certain lead actreses role. It got really good by the end of second episode, like it spiked up in a heartbeat and I actually didn't expect that kind of plot twist but I'm living for it. The co-star Wi Ha Joon is so great, I feel like I've seen him somewhere but I can't quite put my finger on it (edi; he played the cop in Squid Game, I KNEW I SAW HIM SOMEWHERE!!). Their acting skills are spectacular and I just can't help but love Joons smile <3 it's the most beautiful and heartwarming thing in the world, it got engraved into my mind and i can't get it out. Somewhere to the end of the drama, romantic element appeard and tbh the did not need it to be included at all, felt pretty pointless more when you saw that in the end they didnt even go into any depth with it and just let it kinda go. What's more upsetting is that on Yeols place should have been K but that's only my opinion on the thing.
Now HUGE SPOILER!!!
The very ending got me really sad, I understand why it turned out the way it did cuz it felt like it's necessary for the development of Wooks character and over all for the closure of the drama. They wanted to make nice and neat closure and they did it. I just can't get over the fact that K is gone, like, he's not gone for good, he just prolly disolved into Yeols personality BUT STILL from my perspective HE IS GONE and that's why I just can't rate this show 10/10 but only 9/10...

It's not as bad as some people say

I can't lie I really enjoyed this one! 1st episode was kind of boring and confusing but 2nd episode till the end is really enjoyable. Even though I personally hate violence thus I hated some of the scenes because it just broke my heart but I sat through it hahah
also This one is not the kind of drama you can binge-watch it in a day. It's complicated and there's a lot of plot twists!
Personally I always look for the romcom kind of kdrama because i enjoy it and it makes my heart flutter hahaha but it's good to watch something different from time to time!
Yes, there was some scenes that made me cry but maybe I'm just sensitive lol
last episode was really intense!
there wasn't any cringe scenes but there was times i felt angry
I don't think its the kind of drama u could rewatch and rewatch but yea ITS AMAZING
also while i was watching it i was busy crocheting maybe that's why i didn't understand some of the scenes so i advice u to focus on it bcs if u turn ur head for 3 sec you'll probably miss something
all in all, I really enjoyed it because the acting was very amazing thanks to the actors and also bcs all of them r pretty ahhahaha also! while i was searching for the handsome Oh Gyeong Tae I didn't know he was in a group called VIXX! I listen to them but I don't know the members that well i was shocked and happy ANOTHER IDOL TO STAN
this review is kinda useless but yeah thank u to whoever read it! Goodbye and have an amazing time watching this!

You have greatness within you.

"Bad and Crazy" is one of those police detective shows that combines elements of crime, comedy, and policework, making it a captivating watch. Being a former detective myself I enjoy these detective/police type thrillers. Especially when they involve an entertaining story and comedy.

Ryu Soo Yeol is a character played by Lee Dong-Wook who is part of an anticorruption investigation unit. For me, it resembles the Internal Affairs Division. Often, Soo Yeol takes the law into his own hands to seek justice for innocent victims of corruption and violent crimes. He is joined by a cool partner named Jae Seon who offers a bit of comic relief. Despite being a good partner, Jae Seon isn't always around.

While investigating a "Pupil" drug ring and internal police corruption, Soo Yeol finds himself in over his head. His past fears and childhood memories are evoked. Apparently, he goes into self-defense mode, imagining an alter ego named "K" to cope with the stress and fear. That's how I saw it, at least.

I thought "K" was real at first, but then I realized he might only be real in his head if he was stressed enough. Whatever the case, "K" was a funny, witty, tough character. There was no doubt he was the type of person you would imagine yourself being in a time of need. Each time "k" appeared, the scene was enhanced, and I thought he added to the story.

"Bad and Crazy" was exactly that, Bad and Crazy. There were good fight sequences, as well as good investigation and execution. However, as a former law enforcement officer myself, I had to overlook some things and realize it was television. It's like Soo Yeol turned his back on the bad guy (and paid for it) after knocking him down on more than 2 separate occasions. The prison bus was hijacked by one inmate. Yes, it is possible, but let me tell you something. The odds of pulling that off are extremely low when the officers are on their game.

In "Bad and Crazy," both the cinematography and visual effects are pretty good. I liked the camera angles and shots when "K" appeared, the slow-motion tracking shots, and the transitions between "K" and Soo Yeol. In many scenes, the music enhanced the mood.

Ultimately, "Bad and Crazy" offered a unique and entertaining concept. Even Beyonce admitted years ago that she had to tap into her Alter Ego (Sasha Fierce) to cope and push forward when her rise to superstardom became overwhelming. Perhaps having an Alter Ego may be beneficial if you use it for the right reasons, is that right, Jr? LOL Just kidding!

Bad And Crazy Is a True Thrill!

This may be one of the most unique psychological thrillers I’ve ever seen. I’ll admit that I was a bit confused during the first two episodes as I tried to figure out what the heck was going on with Detective Ryu Soo Yeol who is a part of the Anti-Crime Unit, which basically equivalent to our Internal Affairs. He’s trying to piece together evidence of a missing woman, but a mysterious man in a motorcycle jacket and helmet keeps showing up out of the blue and beating the daylights out of him. While it made for intriguing scenes and shifts within the story, it also left me puzzled.

It wasn’t until the end of the second episode that I realized that “K”—the man in the motorcycle gear—is actually Ryu Soo Yeol’s alter-ego. A part of himself that finds himself using when confronted with dangerous situations. The interactions between K and Ryu Soo Yeol aren’t just interesting but also contain some of the funniest interactions of the series.

Of course, as with so many other Korean dramas, there is always more to things than meets the eye, as Korean stories are often like onions. You have to peel back another layer to find out what else is going on. At first, we start with—what appears to be—a simple missing persons case that turns into a ring of drug dealers, which then turns into the mastermind who is secretly plotting Ryu Soo Yeol’s downfall. A deep, dark secret from his past as he struggles to put the pieces together as well as dealing with the fact that he’s got a split personality. In the hands of a lesser writer and director, this series could have easily become ridiculous and laughable.

As the series begins, it’s obvious that Ryu Soo Yeol is a very self-absorbed guy. He is just as corrupt as the police officers that he investigates. He’s not above taking bribes and even turning his back on justice and doing the right thing for an envelope of money. He also warms himself up to his superiors, and by all intensive purposes, he’s living the good life without much care. In many ways, the transformation of Ryu Soo Yeol from nonchalant playboy to someone who finally begins caring about doing the right thing, coincides with the appearance of “K.”

However, it soon begins to be painfully obvious that Ryu Soo Yeol is a bright but careless detective, often going into dangerous situations alone rather than with a partner. There’s a reason why police officers and detectives have partners. First and foremost is so that the partner can corroborate their story and version of what happens. There are several cases where Ryu Soo Yeol might have avoided a situation if he’d used a partner.

Lee Hee Kyum is his love interest and fellow officer. Their relationship begins tenuously because it’s obvious that Ryu Soo Yeol had a short fling with her. However, it’s quite obvious that she still has feelings for him. She’s a capable officer, although she does fail to follow one of the most basic rules of handling firearms: never draw your weapon unless you’re prepared to use it. Such carelessness puts her in a dangerous situation and could have gotten her killed.

The relationship between Ryu Soo Yeol and “K” as well as with Ryu Soo Yeol’s enemy Jung Hyun Soo is what drives this series. It has quite a thrilling and captivating story when we finally realize who is behind the sinister plot to destroy Ryu Soo Yeol.

I’ve seen Lee Dong Wook already in “Touch My Heart” in which he was fabulous. I was more than a little blown away by his portrayal of a very different kind of character in Ryu Soo Yeol. Performances in general were fantastic in this series.

For a series filled with action, suspense, and humor, this one isn’t one that should be overlooked!

good but...

i liked the premise of the drama but i feel like there were too many arcs within the drama and it didn't connect as much as i wanted it to. for example, the whole drug dealer thing was only mildly relevant the whole series and I feel like they could've tied that in more. i understand that the first half was more developing and showing K and Suyeol's relationship but it seemed like two different dramas, it didn't connect well enough to the ending. i wish that the main villain was more of a threat throughout the whole series, and not just the end. idk it just felt like it didn't flow as much as it should have. also i kinda wish there was a better ending with K (like venom or smth) but I understand why the writers went in that direction.

EXTREMELY EXCITING & ENERGETIC BUT...

Honestly, overall - super fun energy filling watch!

Has a lot of action and good antagonists and really LOVE the two male leads - they do an amazing job of character portrayal and contrast! Such great chemistry, acting, and stunts!

The story starts off amazing and then mid-way sort of turns gear towards another direction... The ending DOES all tie up well together but really did not like the middle turning point...

Overall, still great humor - had so many laughs and tears here and there! Such a thriller of a lot of action and gore (not a huge fan of that but it goes well with the plot).

Totally would recommend for a fun and thrilling drama!

I rate like a kindergarten teacher.

I'd like to state although no one asked that this is my first review,100 nd something drama's since I got invested 2 year ago and lee dong wook being my go to actor considering It all started with a mistake of a button on netflix (nine tailed fox) next thing I know I'm whipped,so its only right it his drama I'm starting with

secondly I put very much consideration to the fact that reviews and comment sections are what drives most people to watch certain shows so I'll do my best,on that note

WATCH THIS SHOW
ignoring the fact that a lot of k dramas have plot holes, this included i'd like to take to heart the acting of both male leads and the support cast too, for making it a wholesome drama. you can clearly see that the writers not only tried a different approach by making a loop of different villans with captivating stories but tried to maintain a thrill and keep u invested from
the murderous politician
the dirty cops
the drug dealer
and the psychopath therapist
you had your self a hand full of people to snare at while also following a very delicate issue of mental health which considering I have an uncle that was stricken with such at a young age (An handsome pilot) who all of a sudden started talking to people we couldn't see and ended up dieing due to paranoia,( although no asked)but this hit close to home for me and seeing it made me understand the struggle a bit all the while laughing and reminiscing of similar occurances.

BUT the series takes u on a roller coster ride although I wouldn't go back to rewatch it (cause mainly I never do that to series I love, weird) but because certain plot holes had me heated up and rilled up sometimes, but still I saw it through and men what a ride it was. lee dong wook poses as cute but badass cop showing an exceptional skill in both acting and compatability, wi ha joon made such an impression that I'm on a rampage for all his drama's now his growth as an actor wow and the chemistry they both had made me want to start a petition for them to be in another show highlighting just their bromance, the young cop that made u grin, aww and swoon at each of his scenes, the best friend cop that had a "I love u but not this corrupt asshole" relationship and the badass ex lover cop who kept kicking sense into the ML's head. Each premises made u love the show

it has a lot of flaws YES but take the time to just enjoy it as simple as is and you'll leave with zero regrets

I know I said a whole bunch of unnecessary things but I reviewed from my heart chessy as it may be but if ever you come across my review let this be a sign to watch this show because its really did a commendable job entertaining which is all we need right now.

if this sucked,I'll do better next time promise????
