Everyone is WRONG!!!

Before watching I read comments saying that it was a bad drama and that people should drop it or whatever but if I’m being honest the only part that was “bad” in my opinion was the first ep. I skipped majority of the first ep and just watched the last few minutes to lead me into ep2.

Everyone is also saying how the cheating is so bad and that they had to drop it but honestly thats them and this is me. I personally don’t care about the cheating mainly because I love drama and I can just tell with this we’re are gonna see some drama. So watch if you like good chemistry and drama as well as funny supporting characters. I recommend getting the free trial for iQIYI and watching the uncut versions. Good luck and happy watching!!!?

OH, No, No, No, Not Another Letdown!

Okay - The Good - The First two episodes weren't bad. That's It.

The Bad - Where to start? Sometimes I wonder if these actors are so hard up for work, they accept anything, as for me, I would rather collect garbage than act in this show, in fact, I'd almost rather collect garbage than watch the remaining episodes.

I am not going to watch them until the series ends.... and then I am going to check out the reviews and if they remain as they are now, I am not going to waste my time. As a bl fan who has seen everything that is out there and some more than once, I anticipate these new shows with the same excitement I would if I won the lottery! Alas, another one bites the dust.

All I can say is - fire the writers and start over... I know I can write a bl better than this one; in fact, pretty much anyone who had above an F in language class (English Comp for me) could write a better bl.

NINE - Sooo Bad Acting - Who could help it with a script that has the characters doing and saying nothing important.. Alas, us poor viewers who keep hoping for the best and keep getting the worst. Hang in there, maybe someday I will write a bl worth watching!! lol

Product Placements the series

I finally got around to finishing this series. I was so hyped after watching episode 0 but it kinda died down fast when the first episode started..

What was lacking;
The story was just all over the place, dialog stiff and unemotional, music missplaced, editting confusing. Overall it was a hot mess.
It felt more like a 12 episode long product placement, I wouldn't be surprised if the basis actually was "we have these products to showcase, lets throw some BL around it for more views!"

Daonuea's overdramatic reactions to everything didn't help, and whenever he accused Nine of overreacting I cackled like crazy!

What was good;
The actors, they did what they could with whatever they were given.
Boat and Candy are just the cutest duo, they could carry the comedy aspect of this show on their shoulders alone and make it work flawlessly.
Tee, I was not a fan of his character at the start but compared to all the others he is the only one that feels like a real person. His motives (mostly selfish) are believable and I'm just sad that Nine and Daonuea didn't get the same kind of growth.

The special episode with Tee and Ice gave me the kind of passionate chemistry I would have liked for the whole actual series! I would have loved to see that kind of energy between Nine and Daonuea!!

You would do fine just watching ep 0 and 12, maybe add ep 11 if you want some last act drama to fill it all out.
The rest of the episodes can be skipped, they add nothing to the overall story or character development.

watch this with no expectations and u will be happier

I'll try to summarize by topics:

- the plot of the story had a very similar potential of Love Mechanics, but the script honestly seems to have been poorly constructed and obviously we can't blame the actors for the characters. The story can often confuse you at the end of an episode and the beginning of another because some scenes are built with different dialogues of the same situation. the story unfolds slowly until ep 7 and from there unfortunately they get unnecessary problems to put in the main relationship. the "secondary" couple, for example, goes from 0 to 100 in the last 2 eps and even wins a special episode.

- i honestly feel bad that talented actors got their debuts in a bl that got so underrated and for small things, the main couple has a amazing chemistry and a shout out to the +18 scenes that delivered much more than promised.

the series as a whole is a good try to watch it, form your own opinion and realize that it's not the worst thing in the world if you just want to spend ur time :)

não é nada do que você queria realmente que fosse... poderia ter ficado somente com o ep 0

fiquei tão empolgado quando anunciaram que teria uma serie quando viram o sucesso que fez o pilot/ep 0, então criei altas expectativas pois esse episodio foi e é maravilhoso e deixou um gostinho de quero mais, pena que foi tudo estragado por essa serie que não soube esperar e fazer um roteiro/historia bem feita para lançar, quiseram fazer algo rapido e bem mediocre por causa do sucesso!

os atores são bons e não tem aquela estranheza mesmo nos momentos *hots* mas depois que eu vi que teria que pagar para ver as cenas hots me deixou mais bolado ainda com a serie e tive que dá uma pausa no ep 3 no lançamento pois estava totalmente intoxicado pela serie e por quem estava assistindo e reclamando e só nesse ano voltei a ver e consegui assistir de boa mesmo achando péssimo! a serie é confusa logo de cara e difícil se acostumar,
mas depois você só quer finalizar o mais rápido possível

eu não recomendaria, mas se quiser ver homens de cuecas então fique a vontade!

Lost hours and brain cells

This was terrible. The characters were awful. These writers have a warped sense of what the viewers like.

After Nine and Daonuea’s first time together on a trip, Nine did not call or text Daonuea and resumed his relationship with his psycho girlfriend. After months of waiting, Daonuea moved on. When they met up again, Nine thought it was ok to force himself onto Daonuea even though they both had someone else. Just awful.

Nine is NOT at all attractive to me. So it was a struggle for me to watch his scenes. He reminds me too much of Skeletor.

Daonuea annoyed me to death. He was such a spoiled brat. I think he was trying to act cute but failed big time. I just ended up hating him.

Tee is 100 times better looking than any other guy in the series and very sweet. I felt so bad for him. But the scene with Oab was fire! But, as per the norm with this series, the writers screwed that up too.

Believe it or not, this low rated series had some great music. The female (LVLY) and male (Sture Zetterberg) singers during the ending credits of each episode were amazing.

The English subtitles were pretty bad. A lot were missing in the special episode.

If you’re curious, watch it. If you want to just check it off your list, watch it. If you want to hate yourself after you finish it, watch it. If you’re looking for a series you will enjoy, don’t watch it.

My expectations were low but holy crap

Nine is a sexy asshole & cheater.
Daonuea is indecisive & overreacts.
Tee is a manipulative cheating slimeball.
Ice is kind of a nothing character.
Praew was unnecessary.
I loved CandyBoat. Faults & all.

It had good moments but those were few & far in between esp for 13 eps.

All the couples deserved one another excl. Tee coz fxck him.

Tee gives me the ick coz of the way he seems to prey on the young & naive.
Also he's a scumbag that stole Nine's crush by pretending to be him the day he lost his mom.
And his special episode did nothing to redeem him.

The show could've been better. A lot of it was basically an ad like there was a whole episode that was basically an hour long amusement Park ad.
I hope I get too see the main ship act in something better together. Their acting is believable and they have great chemistry

I know many people for reasons unknown to me had high expectations for this show because of the prologue episode released a year earlier but I didn't. It was just meh & the chemistry between the two leads hard carried & that problem continued into the series.

Its just okay.

This series is just okay, it's not the best show nor is it the worst show but it has tons of flaws and some good parts...

I think the only good thing about this series, is the spicy scenes with Nine and Daonuea.

Now the not-so-good,

Tee and Daoneua's relationship was awkward, they had no chemistry on screen or in real life, and Dao and Nine had much more chemistry. I wish Tee would've gone off with candy and let Nine have Dao, to be honest.

The whole series was 12 eps long but it definitely felt longer, even though I skipped all of Praew and Candy's parts, They honestly didn't need to drag out the whole Nine trying to get Daonuea and Daonuea treating him like crap, and then being confused. There was no solid plot, it was just a game of chase and it could've been 6 or even 8 episodes.

Also the fact that no one was getting Praew any help, like she was crying out for someone to help her but Candy nor Nine did anything for her except hurt her more. She tried to SA Nine when he was drunk, full on mental breakdown while trying to strip hers and Nine's clothes off and no one thought to maybe get her some help, it was bizarre to me. Though I'm glad in the end she was okay with their relationship.

Overall, it was okay, probably not one I'll rewatch but I'm glad I have seen it.

If You Accept That All The Characters Are Kinda Terrible It’s Mildly Entertaining

After watching this series, I wouldn’t rate it lower than a 5.5. I’d give it a 6 and that’s because the timeline is all over the place and the acting is a little below average. The NC scenes also weren’t giving. They just made me laugh out loud. As for the rest, as much as I have a bias against cheating being portrayed as something for people to just get over and as inevitable; I didn’t get to dwell on this because I was so preoccupied with trying to follow the storyline/timeline. Each episode was waaaay too long and overall was 8 episodes too many.

This series is somewhat what I wanted Only Friends to be. A bl that is filled with only terrible, debauched characters that you can watch with fascination without feeling sorry for ANY of them. Of course, Only Friends has miles better production value and writing but the problem arises when they try to paint these types of characters as people to root for. Just once, I want a series that embraces the shitty-ness of people and is self aware in that regard. I’ve always thought this would be a fascinating concept to watch unfold onscreen where every character is self-indulgent and only thinks of themselves and their wants. Where no characters are redeemed and there is no pretence of them being decent people.

The ‘messiness’ of the characters is what turns viewers off the most from this series but I found it entertaining in a morbid fascination kinda way. Like watching a couple fight on the street or like watching a wildlife documentary. lol

I've checked out of this series

Overall: I'm sad because they took everything I liked about episode 0 (fast paced, likeable characters, great music) and wrecked it. The series should be called "Boring Cheaters." Watched on iQIYI.

What I Liked
- the outro song
- I think the actors are trying their best with a terrible script

Room For Improvement
- very confusing, we start with a scene at the end of the first episode, then jump back and forth several times between present day and flashbacks (also too many flashbacks in later episodes)
- meh intro
- boring/slow paced, I watched at 3x speed. The cut episodes were slightly less boring (around 40 min vs 1hr 10) but still boring
- unlikeable main characters, I don't mind flawed characters but I especially don't understand Nine at all
- switching back and forth from a steamy scene where both people are cheating to a scene where a boyfriend is setting up a nice dinner was not appealing at all
- I don't normally notice the music unless it's really good or really bad and this was the later, sometimes the music really didn't fit the vibe of the scene
- the toilet humor (twice in the first 4 episodes!!!)
- I don't know why they are going to OnlyFans, have they seen some of the stuff on Gagaoolala? Also it seems like the actors had to act in the 18+ scenes totally naked when previously they were told they'd have socks... I hope the actors find something with a better plot, editing, really better everything

The soundtrack was good

I loved episide 0 for the most part and was so excited to find out a series was in the works. Oh the let down ...sigh...

Episode One I could accepted begrudgingly, Epidodes 2-9 probably should have been cut in half, a lot of unnecessary filler and back andforth, Episodes 10-12 were acceptable again. An 8 episode series would have been better. That is saying a lot because I usually am disappointed with them but in this case it may have been beneficial!

After all the waiting I expected so much more. It wasnt horrendous just long and tedious. If you watch it just don't expect to much and you may not be as disappointed!

I don't get why people hate this series so much

I honestly don't get why people hate this Series so much. I thought it was really good it had an interesting plot it was slow and realistic, which I find more interesting then plots that have characters that fall in love within the first few episodes. if your planning on bringing this series I don't think you'll be disappointed it's cute and enjoyable, but if you plan on watching it slowly it may seem a bit to slow at first. But once you reach around midway things start to get more heated. it's still a very good series in my eyes. with good actors and cute side couples. I also really enjoy the OST and editing as well.
