can someone please explain to me why the child was more mature most times than the male lead. lol like how is your child more mature and serious than you? ?the male lead’s personality gave me whiplash. honestly the storyline in the beginning was confusing but entertaining but then it will downhill from there. i did skip some episodes because i couldn’t do it anymore. if you like childish men then you might like this drama ?the only good thing about this drama was the female lead and the son. i liked how independent and protective she was of her son even from the dad as a mother should. but also i liked she made him grovel for the mistakes he made and owned up to her mistakes and basically didn’t take anybody’s crap.

Great chemistry although a few things feel unrealistic

In general, it's a great love story. The chemistry of the main couple is no joke. I can feel love all in the air when the two are together. And the boy is just so adorable. ^^

However, there are a few things that feel not real in this series. For examples:

First, the female lead seems too talented and confident to exist. How can she just attend a company as an ordinary employee and get promoted so fast to a manager within only 2 years, when she's a single mom and her son even has a heart disease? It means she would have to worry about him, take care of him and stay at the hospital all day every now and then. Of course she can ask her neighbor doctor to take care of him but that's the thing that feels not real. Doctors are busy all day and have no fixed fee time, and as a mom, she would worry a lot about his son when she's sick. Heart disease is definitely not a joke.

Second, the serious heart disease doesn't feel so serious. The male lead can drink some beer, run around all day with the female lead, while running is tiring even for a normal person.

Third, the kids at the kindergarten are so mean to the son of the couple and his teachers did nothing to protect him. When he had a big heart surgery. Instead of cheering him up, the kids called him a monster and bullied him and the teachers just ignored it, and the female lead also did nothing to protect his son. As a mother, the female lead also didn't protect him in some other cases. It's very strange.

Also, the supporting couples feel a bit forced, and I don't feel any chemistry between their characters. One couple is just about physical intimacy, and the other has a better story (the doctor and the ballerina) and quite entertaining, but it still feels a bit forced.

Besides, about the brother of the dead mutual friend of the main couple, he's not a kid anymore, yet immediately wrongly blamed the female lead for his sister's death just by listening to the passengers of the bus who were all traumatized in the accident? And he blamed a passenger instead of the bus driver? Normally people usually blame the bus driver first before everyone else in similar cases.

There are a few more things that are on my nerves but I'll leave it here. And because I love the main couple and the boy is so adorable, I still adore this series a lot. ^^

Une mignonne, légère et enjouée comédie romantique

Bien que son intrigue ne soit pas spectaculaire, The Love You Give Me offre une tranquille romance moderne avec juste assez de mignonneries et de douceurs malgré quelques longueurs.

Min Hui est une femme indépendante, intelligente et passionnée par son travail qui élève seule son petit garçon né avec une malformation cardiaque. Rapidement, elle apparaît comme une battante malgré les problèmes qu'elle peut rencontrer. Wang Yu Wen amène naturel et modernité à son personnage. Avec ses exclamations franches et son caractère de tendre dure à cuire, elle fait illusion et on se prend rapidement d'affection pour elle.
En revanche, Min Hui ressent souvent le besoin d'être rassurée et demande un peu trop souvent à son fils qui elle préfère entre son père et sa mère.

Face à elle, Xin Qi le PDG d'une grosse boîte d'investissement. Il sait reconnaître les bonnes entreprises et est capable de miser sur les bons produits. Bien qu'intelligent et un tantinet arrogant sur ses premiers épisodes, Xin Qi se dévoile rapidement comme un père affectueux qui souhaite assumer ses responsabilités et avoir un rôle dans la vie de son fils. Je n'avais pas revu Wang Zi Qi depuis The Imperial Coroner où il m'avait laissé un très bon souvenir. C'était agréable de le revoir. Derrière le cliché du beau patron riche se cache surtout un homme doux avec une personnalité bien développée et amenée.

La relation de famille est une pièce centrale du drama. Les scènes de famille sont vraiment bonnes bien qu'elles sonnent surréalistes au bout d'un moment en raison d'interactions trop lisses. Cependant, sans elles le drama aurait été beaucoup plus morne et moins vivant. Cela dit, l'enfant semble plus dégourdi que ses deux parents réunis plus d'une fois...

Côté romance, les deux premiers couples (Min Hui + Xin Qi & Cao Mu & Chen Jia Jun) sont intéressants. Ils sont sur deux dynamiques complètement différentes, mais entraînantes. En revanche, le troisième couple (Yao Zi Zhu + Zhou Ru Ji) est une roue de secours qui a fini par m'ennuyer avant même d'avoir commencé.

Globalement, The Love You Give Me est un drama mignon et léger qui sait où aller malgré ses longueurs et ses quelques touches surréalistes.

i don't like the 2nd and 3rd couple

I was hesitant to watch this drama because it's quite difficult to watch romantic dramas because sometimes it's difficult to meet my criteria, but it turned out to be good and interesting.

Since the first episode it's been good and I like how this drama makes the story even more interesting. The actors' acting is also good, even down to the little child's acting, he is truly a genius.

but I really don't like the Chinese drama culture which makes the second lead couple also have a lot of screen time in dramas. because sometimes I feel like it's not necessary, it's just normal and focusing on the main character is actually good. Because the second lead CP actually made this drama boring, I skipped all their scenes.

A solid 10 stars drama!

Wangwang chemistry is so natural and so comfortable to watch! This is their 3rd drama together since 九州天空城2 and 只是结婚的关系 and i'm praying they get to work together again. What I love most about this drama is, the trust, love and support Ziqi and Minhui have for each other. They truly only want the best for each other, doesn't cross lines and know how to respect each other's decision. Of course, not forgetting Quanquan who is the glue that brings his parents together again after 5 years <3 The comedy part is also matched to my humor level especially scenes between Ziqi and his secretary, Hardy. Pure comedy. Can't believe I finished this drama in just 2 days, already missing them T_T

OSTs are also really good, been on replay for the past days!

CANDY crush :)

This drama kept popping up on my YouTube and so, I decided to watch it. I watched "Once We Get Married (2021)" and I quite enjoyed it. I gave it a rating of 8/10.

I like this new drama of theirs even more. This drama is like an upgraded version of the aforementioned drama. I like this new drama a lot!

What I love about this drama:
- The ML and FL have great chemistry. I like that they truly have eyes for each other and are sincere towards each other.
- The ML and FL are not the most gorgeous looking of the lot of actors and actresses but they are charming and attractive in their own ways.
- The little boy really looks like his "parents" and he is quite adorable. He is a fine, young actor.
- The plot is quite intriguing and quite fast-paced. I binged this drama in 3 to 4 days.
- I love the FL as she is sassy and fiercely independent. It takes a village to raise a child and she relies on her helpful buddies. She juggles her work life and home life. She is a devoted mother and an intelligent as well as capable worker. She is a modern day woman who is #boss.
- I love FL's bestie, Cao Mu. She is sassy, fiercely loyal, feminine yet strong, gorgeous, stylish and capable.
- I love ML's secretary, Hardy. He is the comic relief. He does his job well. He knows his role. He is loyal and dependable.
- The other characters are also quite all right, e.g. Yao Zi Zhu, Xin Di and Zhou Ru Ji. I like that they are good people with reasonable thoughts (and not psychotic thoughts) and have their hearts in the right places.
- There are bad characters in this drama, e.g. Cheng Qi Rang and Ding Yi Feng, but they get their just deserts and so, I am satisfied.
- The ending is slightly cliched but it is exactly the kind of ending that I like. The ML and FL get married and "live happily ever after" with another baby son.

I highly recommend this drama. Why? As above and because this drama is a relatively stress-free watch. Most parts are sweet and issues get resolved well. This drama is like … a pleasantly cool and sweet drink on a balmy day. Sip it. Enjoy it. The aftertaste is sweet too. :)

Uao! Gli attori che interpretano i protagonisti mi avevano entusiasmato già in "once we get married" ma qui mi hanno letteralmente conquistata! Sono perfetti insieme: si intuisce il loro gioco, la chimica e tu gli vai dietro perchè risultano talmente naturali da sembrare una vera coppia. Inoltre qui abbiamo la presenza di un figlio che rende il tutto diverso ma allo stesso tempo talmente confortante da essere una vera e propria coccola. Alcuni clichè/trope sono cmq presenti ma se la giocano bene rendendoli in qualche maniera interessanti. Mi p piaciuto tutto di questro drama ed è una di quelle opere che riguarderei davvero molto volentieri. Estremamente consigliato!!

What a cute but unnecessarily long show, lmfao. I know it was only 28 episodes but high key I felt like I watched 50 of them and it was all making sense and didn't at some point. Like I know it's a relationship basically made up of lies but also at the same time, the plot twist between the secondary couple that leaked into the main couple, it was just messy but overall, it wasn't the worst show I've ever seen. It was pretty good, girl and boy fall in love, a lie breaks them apart and the rest should be history but it's not because a child is involved and it be like that fr fr. But what's with these girls just dipping with this mans baby and then suddenly they're playing father figure and man lmfao this show was just messy. It was cute, but didn't care for the secondary characters, didn't care for the plot twist, I guess I was really just trying to finish it up.

Fan service

Honestly, this felt like fan service to me. Everyone (including me!) absolutely loved these two in “Once we get Married” last year. At the time there was so much talk about their chemistry and how much kissing there was early in the show, which totally worked because of their chemistry, but this felt a little over the top for me. They kissed so much it was just boring and the chemistry wasn’t as good as it was in Once..

I also thought some of the men just got a little too goofy. The Doctor character did a complete 180 and turned into a goofy lovelorn sap after being super buttoned up for the first half of the show. Xin Yi also turned into this puppy dog like character following along after Min Hui like he had no job or anything to do. It just seemed a little childish. I did like the younger brother character who was with Cao Mu. Cao Mu was great, tho I had such a hard time not seeing her as the rival “campus beauty” from Love O2O >.<
All in all I did like the drama but I felt Xin Yi’s character got a little boring.
The woman power stuff was great and they were definitely sending a message about speaking out about workplace sexual harassment, obviously a super important message, tho there were moments it felt a little like it was some infomercial about how you should speak out. Like, yes, we get it.

The kid was very cute and the many playing moments with Xin Yi were so sweet and fun to watch, but it felt like the point of having the kid in the show kindof petered off in the last half of the show. He was really only featured until they got together then they sortof abandoned his character I felt. Other than using him as a constant joke as to why Min Hui and Xin Yi seemed to keep getting interrupted right before they were about to shack up. lol. Tho, honestly that’s relatable, I can attest as a parent with small children.

And of course the bad guys - it was satisfying, of course, when the bad guys gets it in the end, tho I didn’t understand why Min Hui didn’t call the cops on him the two times he basically tried to kidnap her into his car and was grabbing her etc. cuz that was messed.

It was good until it wasn't

I really liked this drama overall. I liked all the characters and the actors. I liked the storyline for the most part. Actually until it got to the 2nd or maybe it was the 3rd time she broke up with him, if you count five years ago, it might have been the 4th or 5th time.
This drama was very trope-y. The breaking up because you were eavesdropping and didn't wait to hear the whole conversation is overdone and I think that was when I was like, hmm. By episode 22, I was skipping forward most of the episodes. But, 22 out of 28 isn't bad when you think about the first 21 episodes were actually enjoyable. The last six wasn't bad they were just predicable.
But, no I wouldn't watch it again.
