Cheng family united front...

I think this is one of the moments that shows how far CSS has grown, her dedication and protection towards her family, is heartfelt. The moment where her mother and her face each other about her staying out of the Cheng's sentence of imprisonment shows her mom's love for her. Because of her engagement to GLB, she is excused from the Emperor's edict to have all the Cheng family imprisoned pending investigation. The Empress and Crown Prince also show their support for CSS as the Emperor hides in Consort Yue's resident. Even SYJ steps in to help CSS and protect her family. CSS leaves to Shouchun where her father is and the Empress again helps CSS, but CSS does not implicate the Empress. A lot of support and love going on in this episode, I cried like a baby and this is probably my 10th time re-watching LLTG.

What in the.... This episode's description??? NooooOoooo. Anyway, why I think Niaoniao was giving back Mdm Yuanyi a taste of what she felt when her mom compared her and yangyang before by mentioning the Empress?. It seems like Yuan Shanjian theme for this episode was "Out of his mind" ksksksk. I am not surprised this happened tbh. Buyi made a lot of enemies and add Niaoniao to the mix, her enemies were his too. It's not a surprise that these bad ppl wld use the time when he wasn't in the capital to harm Niaoniao and her family. Good for Niaoniao standing up to that officer. OMG I'M SO SAD!!! why her mom and niaoniao can't have good relationship??? At least if they had good mother daughter relationship, her slap was coming from protective mother pov. Yes this was her being protective too but it was different since their relationship was not good enough to begin with. I just don't want niaoniao to hate her mom so much T-T. I think someone from Peng Kun camp or idk whoever had grudge on Buyi, tried to harm niaoniao so Buyi wld know about it and disrupt his focus to fight to get Shouchun back.
