Great to begin with, poor ending

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this.

The story begins strong with an interesting idea of a psychometric who can see people's and animal's memories by touching their butts. It's funny and quirky and I liked the idea that the main character develops a relationship with the second male lead instead of main lead for a change.

Towards the final episodes, things change drastically - the second male lead dies, killed by the serial killer.

Bong Ye-bun is rightfully angry at Moon Jang-yeol for suspecting Kim Sun-woo as the killer, yet doesn't feel so traumatised a little while later. When her grandfather is murdered by the serial killer too, again, such a traumatic and horrible event yet Ye-bun doesn't show that much of an emotional reaction.

When the serial killer is found out to be the shaman and Ye-bun challenges him, then sees the memories by touching him and then her final chase with Jang-yeol at the end, they are all cracking jokes and Ye-bun appears to be childishly mocking the shaman as he runs away and gets captured.

Honestly this moment ruined everything - Not only did I hate the fact that Sun-woo got killed (to be fair he was the best character in this series, he was kind, had a strong sense of justice, and despite the fact they tried hard to make him feel and say things that make him sound like the killer, we as an audience were on Ye-bun's side throughout the story as she always stayed by his side.
It annoyed me sooo much tha Jang-yeol would just assume things about Sun-woo and stop Ye-bun from being around him.
If you like her why not tell her? But nah, he pretends he doesn't care about her for a long time. I guess that's what makes it part of the comedic part of the show, but it really annoyed me.

Also, it made sense for Sun-woo not to say anything about the shaman as he would feel not only in danger but if he showed the knife to the police it would have just added to the suspicion even more!

The entire arc of shaman being a serial killer, murdering several people including Ye-bun's grandfather and love Sun-woo seems to disappear instantly as Ye-bun constantly acts like a child (she is a 30 year old for goodness sake, and she has seen SOME STUFF. LIKE, SOME REALLY, DARK STUFF.

She literally lost her lover, her grandfather, and let's not forget that her MOTHER was killed by the National Assembly of Mujin City and WRITTEN OFF AS A SUICIDE?

She literally watched Sun-woo die (as she ran to the scene and through shaman's memories) and as I said already, her grandfather died, and she was also in danger. She never got to know her grandfather's parkinsons disease problem, and did not realise that her grandfather was trying to help her. She lived her whole life aliented from him in a sense, being ignored
Heck, she should be traumatised, AND ACT LIKE IT! Not go up to the serial killer and say stuff like , "omg im gonna catch you now, whacha gonna do?"

Then proceeds to go back to her job as a vet, happily ever after, and gives off the idea that she likes Jang-yeol now.

The show seemed to lack real emotion at the end, so I wouldn't recommend watching it, as sadly the end ruined all the good moments it had in the beginnign stages.

if you watched this drama
In ep 15 detective Moon seem relief that Suho died when he saw his face,
Which made him villian of the story as a cop he was only trying to save a woman he look down on insult her and then he even blame her first love for all crimes so he can frame him.
And told her what to do in her love life
And i do not like FL still liking that murderer detective at the end because he become nice after he killed his love rivel
Detective Moon was Idiot and irresponsible but we are supposed to root for him ?
Its 2023 Woman don't like getting insulted or look down upon now days.
FL wasn't less worse then ML so they are terrible people pretending to be nice detectives
No one in police station care for innocent Suho death but killer Detective Moon suspenses matter more
What bunch of criminal calling themselves cops
Our Killer detective hit a detective
Everyone is on lee min ki side because his pinis is so slim like him that it slide in everyones ass without even noticing it ..
In episode 16 she become his dog(female) you know the word for it
But why she is dating him because there is no other man or she is desperate for a slim penis
Until episode 14 she like someone but hanging out with Jerk detective by excuse of work, while she enjoy getting insulted.
detective Moon intentionally let sun woo die so he can steal his woman and in the end he succeeded without a ounce of guilt,
Dr.bong is dating the man who is responsible for death of ger first love sun woo, Its called ultimate disrespect for the dead Sun woo
Detective Moon shows no development until he kill his love rivel then he start acting he cared for her but as a cop he should have cared for innocent sun woo too but since he was his love rivel he was happy to see him dead.
THAT face expression in episode 15 made me dislike not only Detective Moon but also Lee Min Ki
How can he play this much of a Inhuman role.
What did she liked about Detective Moon,
How incompetent he was
How he risked and killed many innocent people as he can
How everyone should be understanding of Detective Moon no matter how many innocent he kill he is GOOD GUY because director Told them.
I found both ML and FL disgusting for them killing SML so they can date each other,

This drama hasn't heard of "Me,too!"

The problem here is a lack of taste and respect.. It's a good enough story, the acting is passable, but the entire premise is based on the female lead putting her hand on people's buttocks to read what they have seen in the past. So most of the episodes revolve around figuring out how o get her hand one someone's butt long enough to do a reading. Male, female, animal - any buttocks will do.
Now think, for a minute, how offensive it would be if the lead who was reading people's butts was male and getting his hand on women. Pretty bad, right? Well, it's really no less offensive with the female lead. There are the bones of a good story here, but it ends up tasteless and it all seems forced.
I'm still watching it simply because I adore Lee Min Ki (I fell in love with him in Romantic Island) and I think he's a better actor than he gets credit for. I was sorry to see that he'd landed in this offensive piece. You may be more (or is it less? ) liberated than I am, just be warned that this isn't going to elevate the relationship between the sexes at all.

Light hearted fun

The first thing to have in your mind while watching this drama is that well, it's a drama where you should expect nothing to be realistic and once you have that in your head this show becomes fab. It's got so many funny moments that made me literally lol and you know what, it's not meant to be a romance drama but the little romance bits we got were cute!

Would highly recommend if you're a crime drama fan that's going through a stressful time (like I was) and just wanna watch something that's light hearted and humorous. The crime solving bits were pretty great as well as I didn't see the killer coming (just don't take any of the reasoning so seriously). A great bit of fun!

Such a great watch

This is a Comedy and Murder Mystery. There is no romance between the leads.

Now that we got that all cleared up.
Let's talk about some pros and cons shall we.

PROS:

◇The plot
◇The Writing
◇The foreshadowing was ??
◇The way they had as guessing till the last episodes was amazing.
◇The FL best friends crew they were so much fun!
◇The chemistry

CONS:
◇Not much because it stayed true to the genres. I would say maybe pacing in the middle.

Overall this was a fun show and enjoyed it while it was airing.

Rewatch? Probably not a good one time watch for me.

Good vibes, 2nd season please!

This show was funny, eventful, and very interesting with full of suprises. The actors did a great a job and their characters were very special and memorable. I enjoyed every minutes of the production, thanks to the special sense of humor and the twists. There are some unanswered questions in my mind after i watched it, but on the whole i liked it so much!!! I will missing it!!
The ending was correct and the story is closed, nevertheless, I still hope for a second season. New location, new adventures, another case to solve, and the unfolding of romantic threads so - so many funny and interesting situations could arise. There are still plenty of fantasy in this story and these characters.
The music was amazing and was always well suited to the actual scenes!!
I hope for a second season because the story has a lot of potential, to be of the same quality as the first season.

TOOK ME BY SURPRISE

I was just curious about the ML role in this drama. just the intro of the show made me bawl and I thought it was gonna be horrible.
it was so absurd I could not believe my eyes! I thought no way a show with touching butts can work?! like WHAT!!!! I almost dropped it after episode 1...

then... I saw in MDL that ratings were good so I gave ep2 a shot and I was hooked!

THE INTRIGUE: is well done, OMG I was really focused to try and finds clues and hints to find the murderer! without spoiling, the story unwraps well! I was able to guess 1 episode prior to the reveal but I was still not sure!

CHARACTERS: are all great in their own personalities and the actors portrayed them well! it was a cohesive character list! big shoutout the the girl band and the french of Ok-hui !! i am still in awe with the originality and playfulness and dead seriousness of the characters.
I wished for a little more character development for the FL, but in general all character get

WAS IT really FUNNY? most elements can easily turn out cringe but it was directed is such a witty way ! I love the humour here! a punch of sarcasm, absurdity and wittiness!

THE DARK PLOT: the murder mystery is quite heavy actually, I am also very impressed at how they managed to have such a dark turn of events without overloading us emotionally.

THE ENDING: no spoilers, but that left me asking for a S2!
we got attached to our main characters !

MUSIC: I was sooooo impressed with the OST!!! I loved everything!

it's not a perfect show, but they focused on the right elements to take us on a wild ride with this show!

Funny Whodunit

Likes
1. Yebun and Jang Yeol together!! The comedy parts were so funny at the start then they later became partners. Hoping they really ended up together! Lee Minki's twinkling eyes in the last episode made him look handsome. Han Jimin was so funny im waiting for her to do a proper romcom.
2. I loved the best friend Okhui and how much she defends Yebun, the funny girl gang who would do anything for Okhui, and of course Unnie boyfriend!! The babytalk in the end was gross haha.
3. The aunt and the police chief. The 2521 parody wasnt funny to me but they were also cute. Esp the hotel handcuff scene. Lol.

Dislikes
1. Justice for Seonwoo ? the writer tried to make him look so suspicious all through out the show! He acted so mysterious and tight lipped of course he will be a suspect.
2. There were times Yebun was frustrating coz she could have been smarter and used her powers more rather than keep on crying. They could have found the killer right after grandpa died.
3. Ep 14 was the worse episode. Wah! The killer suddenly went on a rampage and killed the two nice guys!!
5. Speaking of the killer, at first i didnt buy the motive but later on i thought yeah, psychopaths dont really need to have a reason to kill. And the killings really do escalate once they get the taste of it. I just didnt like how they tried to squeeze in Jang Yeol's nemesis in the end to close their story.
