siblings or dating ?

It was my first time watching this genre and by GMMTV, and I was a bit surprised because the special effects were pretty good it was depending on the scenes.
I put 7,5 stars for the story because it was definitely for big brained people, I didn't understand everything and maybe that's why I didn't like it that much. The first part was nice, the different stories were interesting but the second part when Doom was stuck somewhere I don't even know where, was long. It's just Khatha searching for his lover. Because you can't tell me these two were just brothers, I'm not going to accept it. They even run together hand to hand at the end ??

I have to admit that the story of Phone and Ton made me very sad, to see Ton trying to save the man he loves so hard made me drop a tear. And to see he just had to accept the love of Phone to save him make me laugh (because that was so easy) but also cry because that was beautiful ??

Could have a season 2, but Idk if I will watch it (maybe If Namtan is still in the series). I put 3 stars to the rewatch value, but I don't think I will watch it ever again.
Namtan was so beautiful, and her dress as the bride was amazing, she is the love of my life ♡

An Enigmatic Supernatural Ride with Untapped Potential

"An unexplained bunch of intriguing characters." That's what I thought while delving into this supernatural series that promised a refreshing change from the typical romantic dramas. While it indeed delivered on its supernatural premise, it fell short of its full potential due to a convoluted plot and lack of character development.

The series centers around Dome, a barista who stumbles upon a mysterious job offer from Khatha, a mysterious museum owner. Reluctantly accepting the position at a museum housing cursed objects, Dome unwittingly releases one of these malevolent artifacts, setting off a chain reaction that puts the world in peril. As Dome and Khatha embark on a dangerous journey to recapture the cursed objects, they soon discover hidden truths about themselves, including Khatha's immortality and Dome's mysterious origins.

The fast-paced narrative keeps the audience on their toes as each episode delves into the tale of a different cursed object and its devastating impact on humanity. The urgency and riskiness of the adventure make for an engaging watch. However, as the series progresses, it becomes increasingly complex and confusing, especially with the introduction of three versions of Dome from different worlds. Sadly, little to no explanation is provided for their existence, leaving viewers with more questions than answers.

Another downside is the plethora of characters introduced, with some acting as antagonists without clear motivations. The lack of character background and development leaves them as enigmatic as the supernatural elements in the plot. The final episode's attempt to shed light on these mysteries falls short, providing only vague explanations that leave us wanting more clarity.

Despite the flaws, the series boasts exceptional talent, with notable guest roles like Bright delivering impressive performances. Nanon's portrayal of multiple characters adds depth to the series, especially in the final episode. Nevertheless, the lack of character exploration leaves the main cast's potential largely untapped.

In conclusion, the series takes viewers on an enigmatic supernatural ride with glimpses of brilliance, but it struggles to reach its full potential due to a crowded plot and underdeveloped characters. While the CGI adds to the experience, a few more episodes with focused storytelling could have elevated this series into a wonderful watch. For fans of the supernatural genre, it still offers moments of intrigue and entertainment.

I’m sorry but I can’t with this series

Contrary to popular beliefs I don’t think Tor or Gun’s acting is any good in this series. Tor’s gaze at Gun looks empty and lack emotions, while his few emotional outbursts such as getting angry at Gun all of a sudden is very confusing. The jump scares are predictable and I can’t take the monsters seriously because of the goofy ahh CGI. I stopped watching after the first two eps because I find it hard to follow the plot. Overall, cool premise but poor execution. It’s a pity, I had high hopes.

Fascinating in its individual parts, but frustrating to piece together as a whole

What starts off as somewhat conventional horror becomes a mixed-genre story that gets increasingly far-fetched. I can't decide whether to give credit to the creators of this series for daring to try something like that or to lambaste them for going more than a little too far in merging paranormal elements with parallel-universe concepts.

What I did enjoy a lot was the bit of BL in the story. I'm not just talking about the ambiguous relationship between the main characters, which may be interpreted as "bromance" of sorts but increasingly becomes like one of those censored BLs from China (where you kind of know that the characters are in love even though it's not said). There is really a BL couple fairly late in the series (Tum and Phone), and I'm glad that despite the loose threads and plot holes in the story, there is some effort to give closure to their story.

Some of the individual subplots are actually quite decent. Sometimes, the series even manages to inject palpable pathos into the characters, such as in the subplot involving Ton (played by Nanon). However, perhaps the writers should have kept the plot simple. When it tries to merge sci-fi, paranormal, mystery and horror, it turns out confusing rather than intriguing. At times, one feels like yelling at the scriptwriters: "Just tell us who these characters are already!" Who the hell are the different characters played by Gun Atthaphan: Dome, Chan, The One? And then we have characters dying and coming back to life ... because of some dark forces at work? ... because of "faith"??? (what faith could they have if they are dead?)

Interestingly, the series gets into all sorts of messy entanglements without being unwatchable. We can kind of follow that A, B, C, D and E and happening even though we can't really see A, B, C, D and E forming a coherent whole and even though we might find ourselves wonder how A, B, C, D and E can even be happening. The cliffhanger after the closing credits in Episode 10 also leaves one with the impression that there isn't a serious attempt to tell a coherent story. What we have is a weird pastiche of narrative devices that serve to bait viewers. This has sustained the series for 10 episodes, but is it sustainable for another season?

I need a lot more KhathaDome (& June) & a lot less everyone else

6.5 for khathadome ONLY they’re not explicitly gay but had more chemistry than most BLs. I love Khatha, Tor is always amazing at playing these types of characters. It focused on them in the later episodes but still was not enough.

So many the plots at the end, with new characters, was a ridiculous mess, especially ep 9. The episodes with guest actors were really irrelevant to me and the acting was not incredible from them anyway ? (except Nanon). The anti-religious parts could have been developed & executed better but instead were rushed and corny

gradually getting worse

eeeehh....it´s starting to look more and more like c fantasy novel....those cgi effects are ruining whole atmosphere and plot makes no sense longer i watch it. gun and tor have suprisingly good chemistry but overall it´s only thing why i still watch (this and I don´t like unfinishing series) Why creators decided to use christian motives in mystery to me, but it ended up with ghosts and werid red eyed monster, so I guess Bible is only thing releated to christianity there. I hope last ep will save it, but I highly doubt since I don´t like anything about this series. Gmmtv should stick to boring romance dramas, they are good at it.

I get where they were going with this, but they didn't quite get there. Yet

I have to start by saying that Tor and Gun's performance in this series is top tier, and they pretty much saved the confusion that was this series. I'm a hardcore fan of Gun and Nanon's acting, and I've never really seen Tor's acting. But he was quite impressionable here, and I'll like to see more of him in subsequent works (who else thinks he looks like he could be PP Krit's older brother?)

Now let's get down to business. Before you dive into it, keep in mind that this isn't a BL. At least by Thai BL standards. As a fan of Gun, I really looked forward to seeing this series. The synopsis was charming; a simple barista who gets entangled with a mysterious museum curator and gets drawn into a world of mystery and supernatural stuff happening at the midnight museum, only for all hell to break loose on his arrival.

It was surprising to see Bright in his psycho era here, I mean he pulled it off so well, and that just goes a long way to showcasing his versatility as an actor. He could be your boyfriend or a freak, whatever floats your boat. It was also nice to see some of the cast from My School President, The Eclipse and Theory of Love in some really versatile, creepy roles.

The music was sorta bleh to me and left much to be desired. I wasn't really expecting much honestly, it's a mystery/supernatural series and the common trope is eerie music that builds up and builds up until there's nothing left.

The story itself was relatively simple, and I wish the writers had kept it that simple yet entertaining. There were some plot holes that needed to be filled and major character development that I have been waiting for, and it never came.

Khatha and Dome were really one dimensional characters with one having one too many fainting spells and the other getting his ass beat by youths thanks to him doting on Dome. I mean, you're over how many centuries old and still have that youthful vigor. What happened? And Dome, you better tell us where you come from. (I haven't finished the series yet).

Overall, the story felt really rushed and felt like ten different movies less than an hour long each meshed together with little coherence and much exposure to the actors. Each episode told a different story of how they were trying to recover the items stolen from the museum, yet I was so confused most of the time. The set felt incredibly empty and isolated too. It gave off the same annoying vibes as Red Wine in the Dark Night, where the story was also rushed, creepy, confusing and had barely any side characters. I don't know if it was meant to be like that with little interaction with normal people, but that would have been a little more realistic.

I did enjoy some moments of the show though, like Triphop constantly correcting Khatha when he calls the female cop shorty, and him being such a great right hand man to Khatha. I'm pushing myself to finish this series because of the solid acting here and I'm eager to see how Khatha and Dome would end. Would Dome really be the one to break Khatha's curse? That's if immortality is a curse like June said.

Speaking of June, I think the actress was fantastic too. And Foei, my man Foei served! Both in acting and looks, I was pleasantly surprised seeing him as a more serious character, unlike his goofy character in Theory of Love.

Another thing I would like to point out as a Christian is that I found Episode 6 offensive. If you're going to take inspiration from the garden of Eden and present something theatrical out of it, at least get your facts right. God didn't separate the man from the woman, he threw them both out of the garden of Eden together. Thank you.

It's a good watch, not a great one. It's like one of those series you see when you're on a break from work or school. It's sorta feel good, but you most likely wouldn't see it again. If you're a huge fantasy/mystery/supernatural genre fan, you might like this series. But I'm definitely not watching this again.

Edit: I finally finished watching the series and I take back a few things that I said at first. I think with all of the flaws, this series is still a masterpiece in all. My initial review is so long that I don't want to start writing about how the last four episodes changed my thoughts. I'm glad we got to see what happened in Khatha's past and how Dome is linked to it all. I was tempted to rewatch some of the episodes to see where they had left clues that I missed. The last episode though... I'll say no more.

If you haven't, give this series a shot.

A Twist

at First, the the series is quiet boring but in a later part once you focus on it, you will understand why.

characters of each episode is amazing, they deliver their character and the story well enough. I love the 3 episodes The Thieves (boys), well they give me goosebumps plus laughter at the same time but i wish the animation or make ups is more realistic since the actions is a clap clap.
next 4th episode Bright, Pat, And Joss; the role and the story are match to them, they deliver it with an OMG!! especially Bright well we know him as a rebel guy but he nailed it again.
but for the rest, quiet lame and boring since I don't know, i think they need to be more emphasize the story since it too short.
and lastly the episode for Gun and Tor, same with the other episode their story is too short but I love the struggle on finding a way to be together. and the story of Mark and Junior is a plus; you will do everything to make you happy. i wish their story have more appearance but yeah! i love the twist.

Music it match on each event, but I've more on scenes and character.

I wish there will be finale episode or season 2 at least, more focus on Gun side story and both love story.

Maravilhoso Bright, viva!
