It was okay...

The story was a little weird. It was rushed, but it was too coincidental for me. If you're just looking for something to pass the time, then go right ahead. I'm a very generous rater. Overall, it was fine. I don't think I'd get anything more out of it if I were to rewatch it. I would consider rewatching it, but not for a long time. Kudos to the cast for just.. going for it, though. I applaud them for their commitment to the series. It takes dedication to do what they did so explicitly.

Its Softcore

Is it really softcore? There are some pretty... erm, suggestive scenes that I'm sure some people are looking for. I commend the actors whom are all rather good looking but I am sad that they have to do this project which is almost p**n.

The script is almost non existent, and they really wasted the beautiful sights of Japan by having much of the non acting runtime in the room itself. What I mean is that the sights of Japan are almost like a travelogue while the acting (which is erm, you know.) is mostly in that house of P. They should have leveraged on their Japan expenses by having more acting and plot within the gorgeous country of Japan.

In my opinion, they should not have used the name Kiseki which was that Taiwanese project with no link at all. I hope the 4 actors get better roles in the future, and I hope the studio gets better scriptwriters.

It’s like eating fruit under a full moon

If you start the show prepare yourself. Prepare yourself to receive a shit ton of second hand embarrassment and full on ass cheeks in yo face lol. There’s a plot sure but is it a good one? Simply no.
But let me tell you, people did not stay and watch this show for the plot *insert smirk emoji*. Imagine playboyy the series (I hate that awful show) but with a plot that makes more sense and well better NC scenes.
These actors might not be the best at acting but they sure do know how to make out with each other hahahaha.
Anyways yea the show is like a terrible car wreck that you just can’t take your eyes off of.

The scenery was one of the things that made the show.

I loved the visuals of them walking around Japan. I'll give it a overall of 9 just for that alone.
The NC scenes were also enough to make me give it a overall 9 ?
I think they could've went a little more into the story but I got the gist of it.
I always knew that there could be some kind of happy ending for Beboy/Plai
since he was just visiting P in Japan and would be going back to Thailand.
P on the other hand that was rather sad thing to watch. And as he walked away in tears that
just about did it for me.

I did watch the whole thing, and it's not as bad as people say !

The drama is about two best friends who havent seen each other for a long time as one, BeBoy, is scared of going far from home in Thailand. On the other hand, his friend Pi, doesn't have dreams of becoming anything, and live in Japan. They argue a lot while showing Japan to BeBoy. During their trip, they met the twins Pan and Plai. Pan is a singer songwriter who plays the guitar. He is reserved and scared of others. Plai is the youngest of the twins. He's more extrovert and came to Japan after a breakup. He love to travel, but the twins admit it's often lonely and scary.
Pan and Pi will get closer together, but still keep things casual.

BeBoy had is first time with Plai after drinking. They are close, but they know they can't have a relationship as they live in two different world. Plai is still in love with his ex, even if he has se with BeBoy.
The drama is not about love, it's about finding what you are and what you want by being true to others and to yourself.
It also show that se is just fun, and when you are single, it doesn't have to lead to a relationship as long as both people knows it.

I don't really understand the low ratings. I have seen way much worse BL than this one, and I never rated this low. And worse, people didn't even watch the 6 episodes. Of course, the ending is not an Happy End, but why should every stories the same. They're not students, they are not rich, they have casual sex, they live in the moment... So why are people bashing the drama?

And even so, I think they have chosen quiet good looking guys with amazing bodies.
Kapper and Paapare are use to do very explicit gay sex scene. I mean remember Check Out, well, here it's even more, limit to soft porn. But all the actors are in their 30s, so they know what they signed for. It's also very funny that they're using their real name in the drama. Pan, BeBoy and Plai have worked together in Venus in the Sky and Beyond the Star.

I think people should watch it in one go. It's easier to get into the characters that way, like many dramas. That's maybe why I don't watch until every episodes aired and do it in one go. Otherwise it can feel like reading many books at the same time. How can you still understand not only the story, but also the characters?

What are we doing here?

Tbh I can't recall ever being this bored watching the first episode of any drama. This episode was supposed to draw us in and make us excited for the rest of the show. This review doesn't contain any spoilers, but honestly, there's nothing to spoil because nothing happened. This was so incredibly boring I cannot express it enough. I try to give everything a fair first shot. I never change a new song before I've gotten through the first minute and I usually never fast-forward through a drama on the first episode. I think I got to 13 mins before I put it on 2x speed. The drama only has 6 episodes! There is no reason for the plot to be moving this slowly. This was such a buzz kill. And again this has nothing to do with the Taiwanese BL Kiseki Dear to Me, but I wished so bad that any of the quality of that show rubbed off on this similarly titled show. I won't drop it because I'm a masochist. I already made it through the first episode, however, I will probably not continue to watch it in real-time and wait to binge it at the end.

Yawn generator, its main feature

Again hugging a tree that draws attention because "my mom said." Again talking about photography. Again, agreeing on whether to let the two strange boys into the house when they are left without a hotel reservation. Once again imposing rules of coexistence. Again speaking badly about a person without realizing that they are listening to us. Once again the overwhelming fatigue of everyday life. Again the same formulas seen in… so many other times. But we have already seen this, in other scenarios and with other actors. Where did the magic and surprise travel? Where did they hide? Or are they scarce and exhausted goods?
I am not given to expressing opinions, much less in the form of a review, when it comes to a series, film or short film that does not catch my attention, but with 'Kiseki Chapter 2', the BL drama from 9NAA, a romantic comedy between four handsome men set in Tokyo, the Japanese capital, made me break with self-imposed things.
With this premise, to which is added the fact that it is a series with the protagonist of P Ekkapop Tata (P), Nanthakorn Sringenthap (Beboy), Jirachot Chotticomporn (Pan) and Chattrin Chotticomporn (Plai), the last three protagonists of 'Beyond the Star', I was curious.
I like the idea of a romantic story (I prefer this term to the usual gay love or homosexual love or simply BL) that takes place "far from home" for the protagonists. But I immediately objected to being from the same company that produced 'Check Out' and 'My Blessing', so I was suspicious from the first moment.
And since I learned about the synopsis about a romance between Thai boys visiting Japan, it reminded me of that classic film that is 'Present Perfect (แค่นี้ก็ดีแล้ว / Khae ni k dilaew), from 2012 and its sequel , 'Present Still Perfect' (แค่นี้ก็ดีแล้ว Part 2 / Khae ni k dilaew Part 2), 2020.
As in the aforementioned films, the boys meet, accidentally, during a trip to Japan. And they will only have the few days (in this case 6) that their stay in the Land of the Rising Sun lasts for P and Beboy to meet and fall in love with the twins Pan and Plai, in that same order.
As they get closer and learn a lot about the meaning of life, their time in the country they visit runs out. Furthermore, one of them, P, has lived there for some years. What will happen then when they have to separate? Will they stay together? Will their feelings survive or will they only be content to store beautiful memories in their hearts?
I said to myself: "If it can be 1 percent as good as the films of Thai director Aaam Soisa-ngim, the series is worth watching. If the four protagonists can be 1 percent as good in their roles as they were Kritsana Maroukasonti as Oat and Tonawanik Adisorn as Toey in the aforementioned films, it would be worth seeing."
But soon my cry of euphoria was drowned in discouragement and dissatisfaction. Yes, we are faced with a BL audiovisual that escapes from those stories focused on teenage or school romance, which is not bad at all, but they can get tiring.
So far, and I doubt it will happen, there is no emotional and visual pleasure. I also don't think I managed to awaken other kinds of deeper feelings and emotions in the audience, despite being able to touch on topics such as self-acceptance, discovery, liberation and the way of seeing life. I don't think I'll find these and other themes mixed with deep messages in the plot.
Contrary to 'Present Perfect' and its sequel, it will not touch the human sensibilities of the spectators, nor will it transport us to a confusing journey full of questions about the essence of oneself, despite having, I do not doubt it either. , a very sweet ending. How I would like to be wrong!
Of course, 'Kiseki Chapter 2' will amaze us with the choice of landscapes, especially monuments, temples and sculptures in parks and streets, that we can enjoy in each scene. Hopefully these will contribute scenarios to the story in accordance with the moment of the series, the message or the emotions transmitted by its characters.
One more story of "strangers to friends" and... yes, I would like romance to break out between the characters, but with a solid script and good performances.
Neither the story nor the characters capture me. Between a lot of boredom and little fun, both in the characters and visually, I would like it, why not? May the instant friendship of the four boys become ever deeper into love.
Something positive is that so far nothing indicates to us that the boys are homosexual. So, it could be a good time for them to discover each other and get to know their sexualities. This could be a strong point of the series. Also, being able to enjoy the atmosphere of Tokyo, especially in the fall season.
The series is a slow story and on many occasions very boring. Everything is told without any emotion. The dialogues sometimes turn out to be absurd and unreal conversations where the thread of who is saying what is often lost. The four characters become unbearable and you cannot empathize with any of them.
No, on this occasion it is not boredom and daily problems that are the worst enemies for the couple's subsistence, as in other dramatized ones, but rather it is the couple's own subsistence, actually two, that promotes boredom without reaching solve everyday problems.
Giving a good rating to 'Kiseki Chapter 2' seems to me to be underestimating many very superior romantic dramas that have been ignored for years.

I Am Conflicted

Im always surprised by MDL comments/reviews because grace is given to garbage and withheld from....everything else lol. This falls in the everything else category: its not good, but its also not bad. It feels distinctly amatuer more than anything else, which I gave grace for considering this is most of the actors first/second series as a main character and its six episodes. The plot is thin to nonexistent: Beboy, Plai, and Pan are supposed be sightseeing but the only sight seen so far is some trees and a mall.

I did find some of the antics funny, which is rare in and of itself. Half of each couple can act, so both couples average out to mediocre. Im not mad at it. The scenes feel....laggy. Like every scene stutters over a good ending spot and putters to a stop somewhere beyond it. It is also noticeably quiet. I've never begged a show for music, but this needs more of it. A lot of what felt awkward or excruciating could be fixed by not having only 30 seconds of music in a 35min episode.

Something I noticed was that the characters are just the actors??? Like they all have the same names as in the actors real names. That is...a choice, I suppose. A choice I dislike, mind, but a choice all the same. I'll reiterate that I don't think this is good, but I do actually want to see episode three, so I dont think its nearly as bad as the comments are saying. I'm usually a pretty harsh reviewer, so that alone makes me want to go easier on this, but I really cant give it more than a 6. This is average. This is....not really consistently entertaining, but there are moments (note: moments, not scenes, not minutes-- moments.) throughout that are funny or interesting. It could use a re-edit to shave the episode down by five to ten minutes.

Episode one is distinctly worse than episode two, but episode one almost always sucks for everything. Get past that, and the sailing gets smoother. In episode three we finally make it back outside which really helps considering the entire premise of the show. Interactions seem a bit forced, even for BL and the dialogue is....still awkward. I swear I like this show there's just a lot. For what its worth and absolutely not to be mean, most singing and guitar playing happens in 10 second intervals or is long enough to scrub past. Do with that info what you must. P's face plus sunlight really did the scene with translating lyrics a huge favor because the dialogue dropped the ball.

I have now finished episode three and I might drop this. The interactions between both couples are beyond forced, actually. P and Pan isnt as bad as Beboy and Plai but its not great. The sex scenes came out of nowhere. I was expecting a kiss, but not Venus In The Sky esque NC scenes for something like this. Even in VITS, scenes that teetered on the line between softcore and straight porn made me less than happy, and that was after 8 excruciating episodes. Scenes like that after two episode with no buildup or......reason?? Idk, maybe I'm not the fangirl for it, maybe its all someone else wants in a show, but I felt personally awkward and secondhand embarrassment for the cast. I had more positives to say before, but this episode made me want to stop watching. Tbh, once they started playing the king game with 4 people I was on edge because literally who does that????

Based on my rating, my overall score should be a 2.5, but I really wanted this to be good or at least average so I'm torn. It had the potential to be a solid C-student, but its kinda flunking now. I was hoping this episode would be what took the rating from 6 to 6.5 for me but, as you can see, it's 4.5 instead, and that feels generous after this episode.
