 NOTE: This drama had so much potential. Yet, it all got wasted on plot devices and filler.  The final episode and the ending scene reminded me so much of The Theory of Everything, one of my all time favorite movies. It was so beautiful. But, oh God...

DROPPED - EPISODE 5/40.

Honestly, I felt that I was forcing myself to watch this. And the music is hands down the worst soundtrack I ever heard in my life. Aging up the characters didn't help. There was a scene where 20+ year olds where snatching test papers and fighting among  themselves when supposedly, the characters were actually around 6 - 10 years old in the actual book. I made it to episode five, but I did not care about any of the characters at all and wouldn't have felt anything if anyone one of them evaporated on the spot.

DROPPED - It's a bad year for KDramas in my end. Picked this up out of curiosity and I couldn't even last one whole episode.

I knew why I kept avoiding the iQiYi Sweet On series and their Modern Dramas in General. They were all feel good ones that I'd probably watch, enjoy, rate a standard 7 and forget. But, this one was unbelievably 'meh' in the first half despite appearing flamboyant and having Idol actors with a huge fan following. (I checked on Weibo.)

I have to admit, the characters did grow on me. But, what was supposed to be the main story completely fell flat at my end.
