Mystery/political Historical C-Dramas

absolutely amazing. I loved the choice of the writters to give a five year forward in the last 5 eps, because we saw the growth of the the leads. The FL sometimes acted impulsively like when her father went missing and she put the ML in danger, and the ML also acted like that when he wanted to revenge his entire clan and did not tell the FL anything and pushed her way to keep her safe.  Both were wrong, they did not know how to love properly, they were so used to being alone and acting alone that they did not relied on one another. The five years apart made them accept every single bit of one another and move past their mistakes. Also, they never stoped loving one another and protecting each other.

Also, the last episodes were amazing. The Fl's family changed and even mr Yuan, and  every single person contributed to the final battle against the villain. We did not see the leads marying but knew they were going to. Loved it. 

loved the ML and FL interactions, loved how the FL was strong in her own way even after everything she went through. The brothers of the FL and her best friend were amazing, as well as the emperor, who was super kind and supportive of the ML. we see a badass ML who stands up for FL no matter who it is.

only bad side: mother of FL got on my nerves and mr yuan anoyed me as hell 

A beautiful drama equivalent to a masterpiece. This drama had a bit of everything: comedy, romance, mystery, suspense and action.  Both the FL and ML were strong and perfect for each other. The FL conquered me right away, she was the breadwinner of her family after the disaster stroke and all men were sent to exile. She managed to make sure her family survived, and she stood by her values and what was right. The ML, had to be the sword for the Emperor, and he never had the courage to go against him, but for the FL he could do anything, even fight against the Imperial guards. They were both understanding of each other, mature, even when the ML did not fully said who he was to the FL, she understood why he did it. The emperor was paranoid, and annoyed me to be honest, and in the end died by his own son. The mystery parts of the story were amazing, the security bureau where the ML worked and his subordinates were so well done, the sword fighting scenes of the ML and his subordinates were perfect, and it's a happy ending for our leads, we see them get married and travel the sea like they dreamed of.

Bad side: the FL's cousin's death by suicide (After losing her husband which was too much for her), the FL's grandmother's death (she was already old), the emperor that got on my nerves as he just wanted the ML to be his sword puppet.

Really good drama. The whole plot was amazing, with the mysteries getting more intense as each episode passed. I loved that you could crearly see the difference between the FL when she was the evil Zhi and then Yan Caiwei. The leads were actually good together, and the ML was so smart and such a nice person. He fell for the FL, again, not knowing who she was really, as he really just cared about what was inside, and not her appearence. The villains were smart and cruel, but so were the leads which made it really interesting to see how they beat evil with good. The FL'S friends fell for the 2nd ML, and their story was cute, but heartbreaking. The ending was sort of an open ending, it has the potential to continue, as we find out that the big villain was also just one of the masterminds, and there is another person out there even worse than him. Liked how different the story around the FL was, as she was a coroner and dealt with dead bodies for a living. Her maid was so cute, she knew the FL was lying about her identity but she really did not care and saw her as a sister.

Bad side: the 2nd ML's  death, which honestly i felt it coming cause he went into a spiral of revenge but still was really sad.

Really good drama. It had so much going on, but it felt so cohese. In the beginning it was a cute love story with comedy scenes, then it grew into a more serious drama, with many mysteries and more mature matter. I liked the evolution of both leads, they were perfect for each as they grew together, the ML from a irresponsbile man who just cared about games to a smart, hard working and capable man; and the FL from a way to sensitive and scared woman to a strong and business women. The ML's family was amazing and supportive of both and even stood next to the FL to "mock" the ML which was so funny. The whole group of friends that the leads made along the way was amazing and they contributed to the defeat of the villain, Luo Zisheng. His character was really good, he was so good that you actually hated him, and in the end he just wanted revenge for his mother. The journey of the leads after they were almost killed and how they went through the desert, and still survived was beautiful, and it showed their willingness to sacrifice for each other. Overall complex story, with amazing growth of characters, fight for what is right, and a couple of battle scenes which were executed perfectly.

Bad side: emperor's death (from sickness), the ML's friend from the really beginning, the ML's father death at the hands of the villain, that general girl Qin.

Beautiful love story between the leads. The ML was such a green flag and the FL stood by him in everything. Loved to see the ML always standing by his morals and the growth of the FL to a more mature woman. The love story between the princess shanguan and the 5th young lord was really good as well.

Loved the friendships and the sisterhood between the women. There were moments of women empowerment and the food scenes were yummy.

Only problem: the evil characters (2nd young lord who was annoying, 4th young lord and his wife) tested my patience and the love story between the leads could have progress more fast, it was a slow burn.

The FL was one of the best things in this drama. The love story between the ML and FL is really slow burn. They just get together in episode 30 when she finally admits her identity. Liked how strong the Fl was, she was a great pysician and had an amazing mind that allowed her to keep solve problems for her family and even for the whole nations. Like the last scenes of the siege by the northern kingdom where the FL was a great moral pillar to the nation. The ML was already in love with the FL from the start, and throughout the series he kept supporting her andhelping her with her plans.. The second ML, the General LU was insane, he was obssed with the FL and even kidnaped her. Just in the real end he finally did something good and confesses the crimes of the bad emperor and "let go" of the FL. Liked that the fl'S good uncle became the emperor in the end. It was a good choice.

Bad side: the emperor which cannot even be considered human, only cared about himself, indirectly killed his brothers and father and killed by his hands his imperial brother, the FL's father. General Lu obssession with the FL that kept bugging me.

overall good story. Loved the FL, she was strong-minded, smart and kind. The ML was equally smart and kind, and such a supportive husband to the FL, he stood by her side through everything. The story had a lot of villains or scheming women, and every one of them met their karma in the end. The drama could have had fewer episodes, which would have made it better, less dragging. The ML's mother was such a pain in the beginning, she was blind and could not see the scheming concubine around her and see the kind FL. I thought this drama would bother me because of the concubines of the ML, but he was forced to have them, and did not touch them for years, and vowed to stay true to the FL and not take any more women. The FL passes through so much, and despite the injustice she suffered in her family and the ML's family, she always paid back with kindness, which made her win the hearts of everyone.

Bad side: scheming concubines that annoyed me and should have had less screen time which led to a bit draggy drama

actually a good drama. it surprised me in a good way.  The FL was strong, the ruler of her own kingdom, but had to pretend to be a man. The scene where her own court wanted her to abdicate when they found out she was a woman was so sad, but then they saw how she saved them from the villains and did not care. The ML was strong and super funny, he was the enemy of the FL becasue of some misunderstandings between their parents so he vowed to kill the lord of the other kingdom not knowing it was the FL. He fell for her, and when he found out who she was he was hurt,, but actually his love for her was stronger. It was amazing how the leads managed to defeat the two villains, and they were actually pretty smart, but fortunately the leads were smarter. There were quite a lot of kiss scenes, and the leads, when they got together, were so playfull it was so cute. The three spies that stayed by the FL were so nice, they cared for her and stood by her side through everything. The second love story between the princess (ML'S sister) and the assassin was so funny, but cute too.

Bad side: the FL's friend (that was with one of the spies) died at the hands of the villain.

the plot of the story was good. We can see a kind FL who cares about others and that is why she can win the hearts of everyone. The ML was strong and trusted the FL, as like her, cared about the people in Great Liang. Both he and her were the reason for the country not to be ruined in the end. The empress seemed bad in the beginning bye she grew to a nice person. Loved her story with the Doctor Luang Kang, but their love was so heartbreaking, they could not be together, and at the end she died of sickness. The emperor, that was supposed to be a good guy was terrible. He pissed me off every single time. He was easily influenced by others and when that Maid turned Consort Ming influenced him, it was chaos. He tried to kill the ML and force the FL to love him, and in the end did not even care that much about his people but instead his safety. Then the vig evil guys, the brother and sister of the emperor that were killed and the yan guy that could read the future apparently. He was the big villain as he wanted the power for himself but failed in the big final battle when the ML killed him. Liked how the ML. FL, empress, emprss dowager and the doctor worked together and outsmart the bad guys.

Bad side: deaths (empress and empress dowager of sickness), the FL to save the kingdom pretended to be the bad guy and was exiled for 10 years (she did so many good things for the people and was labeled as the bad guy) and the ML and FL only met after 10 years and finally got together. But they went through so much which was hard to watch.

simple and cute story. The plot was nothing too deep, it was obvious from the start. The leads fell for each other almost from the start. The two annoying female characters that appeared turned out to be better than I thought, and actually grew as people,  which were the princess of the Liao nation and the princess Yu, who became the FL'S good friend. The FL is sometimes impulsive but she grows. I was scared for a second when Princess Yu got shot with an arrow and died but that that was fake to lure out the villain, thank god, and she got married to the FL's sixth brother, they were so cute, typical bodyguard and princess love story.

Bad side: the madame working at the morgue died and the FL'S fifth brother as well.
