Japan Film Festival Online 2024 VOTING LIST

Japan Film Festival Online (JFF) runs 5th-19th June (noon JST, so 18th for many of us) 2024. Films available here https://watch.jff.jpf.go.jp/page/jffonline2024/Two 10 episode drama series will be available for streaming from the 19 June until 2/3rd July (noon JST).Please add or vote for your JFF Online 2024 favourites. Points are allocated based on the order you choose to add or vote for the films. i watch too many dramas figured out how to change vote order. See replies below. It can be finicky, took me three tries to get it to work but it does.Use the section in the upper right corner to vote. It takes some time for votes to register so don't worry if you don't see yours in the list right away.Discussion thread in the link under these words. My custom list for the festival is in the link under these words. It and this voting list include all of the films except Jungle Emperor Leo which is anime and therefore excluded from MDL. Having seen it, I'm not the least bit bothered about not being able to vote for it here. Use comments if you want to rank it.

Gay shit I watched

>9 means it's brilliant>8 I'd def recommend. 7 means it's fun enough, might recommend, but there are no masterpieces here6 means it's watchable but nothing special, standard fare.5 means it's got some amount of redeeming qualities, but also issues.<4 means I kinda hated itmlm = gay or bi guys in herewlw = lesbian or bi women in hereT = trans people in here. I don't count standard comedic relief trans women in Thai shows. They have to actually be a character.A = ace and/or aro people in hereGNC = gendernonconforming people in hereI prefer: goofy silly stories, complex plots and characters, gender-nonconformity, relationship dynamics in which both partners are equal (or at least both have a form of power, whether that be status or physical) and tease each other a lot, wholesomeness and good communication, slow burn, supernatural gimmicks, bright colors, indie productions, angst with a happy ending, queer themes such as found family, self-acceptance, social deviance and allegories for systemic oppression/cisheteronormativity.I dislike: plots that revolve around jealousy and miscommunication, relationship dynamics that feel hierarchical or genderconforming (top=masc and hyperdominant, bottom= femme and utterly powerless), plots that take themselves too seriously without actually containing authenticity or depth, sad grey gritty-ness, graphic violence, sexual violence, gore, full nudity, unexamined judgment towards minorities. Those'll have lower ratings on average. If you think you vibe with that, take a look. If not, I'm sure you can find some other list that works for you.Happy endings unless stated otherwise under the 'spoiler' tag. BL or GL unless stated otherwise. Current and dropped follow at the end. You'll find most for free on the website kisskh.
