Another Snoozer. Hopefully the Last?

A step up from episode 9, but I this has some of the lamest symptoms if the Noble Idiot Syndrome I've ever seen. Full of "We should still follow our dreams to the end" "I'm still your biggest fan" rhetoric, nothing seems to happen except that our leads aren't actually happy, but aren't quite depressed yet.

Here's a thought: Maybe they could both persue their dreams separately but add a little more gusto into their hopes of a relationship? I blame the writers on this one. As much as I hate angst when it's overdone, this is almost too mellow.

Predictable Prologue

I'll be happy when we get through with the backstory - predictable, with stereotypical characters, excessive flashbacks, and overly breathy dramatics from the actress. I get that we need to set up the tragic prologue part, but so much tears and screaming and angst!

Having said that - Oooh, those mountains were gorgeous! Can I go and live there?

I'm Done

So many plot threads I don't care about... And we finally come to the breaking point with the main couple, only to have the cheesiest make-up scene in the history of Kdramas (or not, but its totally possible).

Sorry, but I can think of so many better ways to waste time then watching this mess.

Seems Predictable...

But for some reason I keep on watching. There are so many characters though - its hard to care about so many different people who only get a short amount of screen time.

Otherwise, the main couple is getting predictable. In an older woman/younger man relationship, its bound to happen.. Especially when she's obviously embarrassed and scared to introduce him to her friends and family. Ooh, this girl is going to break his poor little heart at some point. Dare I stick around long enough to see it happen?!?

Starting to Get Boring..?

Nothing fundamentally wrong with this show; its just not proving to be as entertaining or even unique like the original premise hinted at. It's trying too hard to focus on the trio of 30 something women and their "we're not old yet!" lives - without being interesting at all.

Its fun and completely adorable when some of the guys are on screen, but eventually even the cute needs some substance behind it, to maintain 16 hours of show time.

Already something unique! I loved it!

For an ep that had a rocky first 20 minutes (who is this girl, and is she different enough from a normal Kdrama old maid for me to handle? - Answer: yes), I am already happy to say that so far this doesn't feel like your every day normal and completely typical Kdrama. Plus, I'm already squealing over Ji Hyun Woo and his adorable self. What more can I ask for?

Haven't even seen Lee Sun Gyun, whom I started this for, but as long as we keep on this current path - I am due to thoroughly enjoy it. It's sweet, funny, cute, laughable, and there were kisses! Already! Interspersed with a surprisingly crisp (and cheesy) dialogue:

"Do you know how old the universe is? It's 14 billion years old. Compared to the age of the universe, we're like the same age."

*Melting... I'm already melting..*

My First Medical Kdrama - Sounds scary

I think I'm going to like this (from an artistic - good plot kind of way), but the premise of these doctor guys caring more about themselves and their careers over the welfare of their patients... Probably going to be more infuriating overall than a typical cliche Kdrama. This is definitely WAY out of my comfort zone.

Drunk Moms Unite!

At two eps to go, things really should be starting to resolve. Instead, our secondary couples begin going down the very same road our main couples have been goings through for the past 18 episodes.

"There is no man worth having if it just hurts myself."

I should've asked myself the same thing: 'There is no drama worth watching if it just makes me want to throw things.'

Swans and Ostriches

More fights, and people getting upset, and our young people acting way more mature than their parents.

"You know what a swan is like, right? It puts on airs of elegance, but it's feet don't stop kicking in the water."

And that, is this story in a nutshell. Except for the people who just stuff their heads in the sand, ostrich-style.

Not a lot happening here

This episode... I just can't. It's almost painful to watch the mothers. bickering. again. over the same. stupid things.

The only redeeming thing? Sung Joon's goofy grin (when he's not being plain out mad). Also, I'm basically watching this now for the divorcing couple. Strangely, I think they're the cutest couple right now. Deul Rae's giddiness is just getting on my nerves.

Is it over yet?

I think my love affair of this show is coming to a slow end. By this point, I would expect our characters to start acting a little more rationally, or at least to change somewhat.

You know what, maybe that's the whole problem. They're acting like normal people - and normal people don't grow and develop within the span of 20 episodes. Reality... Which brings me to:

"Yes, I lost to reality. I chose to be sensible, because I lost to reality."

Wtf? When I can figure out how that makes sense, I'll let you know. But I think it has something to do with reality..

Mothers Reflect, or not..

Slower paced than the previous episodes. I hope this isn't a trend. 3 different moms now reflect on how they've treated their children's marriages or future marriages. I'm not sure we've come to any conclusions yet. It irks me still that every scene with at least 2 women in it always becomes a cat fight. We've done this pattern now for what, 15 episodes?

What Just Happened?

Watching the last couple minutes of this episode gave me chills! Is he laughing or upset or stunned, or all of the above?

It seems like all the couples are currently beating each other up in one way or another. Positioning for the final showdown. Wish it would come sooner.

"It seems like everybody carries a bomb in their heart."

Thanks to this show, I can certainly believe it.

It's All in the Relationships

It's kind of nice to see the mother and daughters rallying together - after all this time, it's strangely heartwarming. As for all of our OTPs? I think I know where they are going, but man this one tough journey. It's good to see Ki Joon finally wising up to this upcoming marriage of his. He's starting to crack! Come on, you can do it!

The Genders Align

I love how father and son can bond even at this age! Also commendable: the typical 'buying girl clothes' scene isn't done with a man at all. It's the mother-in-law picking her future daughter's outfits. Probably more appropriate- why should men be the only fashion experts in Kdramas anyways?

"Now I know why a man is always buying his girlfriend clothes. It feels really great to see you wearing what I bought."

If only all problems were solved as easily...
