Sexualization of high school students
So, this is my own opinion, so not everyone will agree with this but, this movie was uncomfortable to watch for me as an adult. The characters are high school seniors I believe and there are some very sexual things in the movie that are uncomfortable to watch (I skipped them). It's not something that's new for the genre, but the actors even look young too and it just felt in bad taste. Again, just my opinion but thought I would put it out there, since I didn't know before hand. It's just not something I support and as an adult, I have noticed it more and more. The acting is okay, that's kind of generous. the movie is a cute concept but not for me. I wouldn't watch it again.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

People make it seem worse than it is.
This show is not a master piece by any means but a lot of people seem to like to complain about this specific show, when in reality there are shows that are many times worse than this but are well liked.This show isn't really anything special, I am not saying that. But it was a decent watch. I will say that the first three episodes where slow and I skipped through then pretty heavily. It was just something cute to watch at some points and I like stories that have to do with different types of mythology but even that was perfectly explained either.
I enjoyed some of the story lines, like biryeom's and mura's but also found some other plot lines to be unimportant, like the story line with Ja-Ya. I also felt that some plot points that ended up being significantly important, like the one about her father. was under developed and was an after thought used to help along the ending of the show. The ending made some sense, but it felt like it was an after thought and was a bit weak.
With all of that being said to was an okay and mindless watch, something to fill time with. I think as long as you go in with a realistic expectation then it will be a decent watch. This show did have a lot of potential to be something more but this is what we got, so do with that what you will.

It deserved the Academy award
So, a lot of people I know think the movie is over rated, though they do say it is a movie. There's a lot of little things in this movie, from the camera angles and style to the specific Korean cultural things that can be easy to miss. I talked about this with my Korean friends and it just hits a little deeper for them. The cultural aspects of the movie just make is more disturbing than it is when watching it with subtitles. I would definitely recommend watching this movie with an open mind. It's very unique and Bong Joon-ho is a great director.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Very cute (the story and the actors and actresses)
All jokes aside, the story plot line is very cute. There's always got to be some kind of love triangle (which I don't like but accept) and I liked the music theme throughout. I am a little biased since I play instrument though. I would definitely suggest watching, but know that it's not a unique or complex plot , but an easy watch. The acting is pretty good, I didn't cringe very much from it being too cutesy, which I normally do. Sarawat and Tine are a cute couple and have good energy.
