To sum up this drama is a treat for the eyes : the costumes are incredible ,there is a nice emphases on the art (painting, music, and dance) and the life of gisaengs. If you are interested in those, then this is the perfect drama for you.

The acting is also good.

In fact, there is nothining reprehensible with this drama. I just wasn't captivated by the stroy line and the feud between the 2 gisaeng houses. Futhermore i don't know anything about the historical caractere behind Hwang Jini. So I won't judge this aspect

However i liked the depiction of the giseang life ( with is usualy sugar coatted in historical dramas).

Funny no brained drama

This is review a seasons 1&2 ( they are not separated on wiki).

This is a nice drama if you are bored and do not want to think overthing.
The storyline is pretty light for the most part. You are not faced with overwhelming court schemes.
The main villain doesn't even stick out.

One pisode is about 20 minutes long. and are well- paced .Not one episode made me feel like the story was dragging.

All charactere a quickly introduced in the 1rst episode, so rapidly that i still don't remember their name. But the seconds lead (M and F) do have more personnality and are not as plain. The female lead may be a bit annoying.

The set fell like the production was a low-cost and the CGI are poorly done. In some way, it reinforces the comedy side's.

To concluded, watch this drama if you are looking for something light, romantic, funny and easy to watch.

Luckly it's only 6 episodes

Firstly, i always have doubts when it comes to adapting a webtoon. In this particular case, the task is even more difficult since the plot is not easy to follow and the drawing had a particular esthic. I still gave it a chance...

How do you justify turning the story into a musical ?!?! I think it really turned me away from the plot.
There are many ways turn on the magic without putting music into it . Otherwise we could have called disney.
The signing is fine but whimsycal doesn't equal musical.

The plot roughly flollow the webtoon but i think that the personality of the female lead is not what the autor intended. She's ways to much naive/amazed/.. I think she wasn't very likeable

Rearding the cast, the acting is fine. BUT you need to stop asking >25years old to play highschooler it is impossible to believe (especially de FM).

It only last 6 episodes and that was quite enough for me.
You can still give it a try but don't forget to check out the webtoon.
