Where to begin?
This is possibly the weirdest and most surprising dorama I've ever come across. Nothing is what is expected, or what it seems.
It's just as hard to define its genre, because while it could be listed as a science fiction drama, the fantasy part is just a device to make a very human, touching and very present message come across: are we really capable of cherishing our lives? Do we truly appreciate all the little and big things thrown onto our path or do we give them for granted?

Were I to base the overall rating only on how much I liked it, I would give it a 10. But it's undeniable that it doesn't deserve it on the cinematographic level: the shooting quality is average at best, it reminded me of those catastrophe movies from the 70ies, like Poseidon, or Empire of the Ants, often naive, with some ludicrous special effects. And it certainly does not shine for its photography.
The music goes from ordinary to completely random.

But characterization, dialogues and acting make up in heaps for whatever flaw. If you have read The Lord of The Flies by William Golding, this drama may remind you of it. Mix it with the most classical concept of Carpe Diem - seize the day - and you have Long Love Letter.
Kubozuka Yousuke is adorable here, at times childishly clumsy, at others emotionally intense. But it's Takako Tokiwa who really steals the screen, her character being the epitome of strength of will, sweetness and courage.
In fact, this drama is acutely feminine, like mother Earth herself.
The kids play their part very well, one ends up liking a quite stony Yamashita Tomohisa too.

I adored the ending. It makes this into one of those dramas one is emotionally compelled to talk about with someone, share opinions and questions. Like it or not, it doesn't leave you untouched.

So, by now you have 2 choices: decide that both the drama and the reviewer are deranged and leave it be, or watch it.

Oh, Anego. What a criminally underrated show. Granted, the 'older-woman-younger-man' scenario is commonplace, but Anego handles this potentially trite subject with flair. Noda Naoko will reel you in, as her search for love leads her to make decisions one might not expect from the shows leading lady. Yet she manages to hold sway over the audience as we realize, more than anything, how important it is for one to find happiness... No matter where it comes from.

Kudos to Shinohara Ryoko, this is a role excellently portrayed. Jin's character, however, is far too underdeveloped for it to be lead material. Anego's chemistry with the supporting lead was much more explosive than anything between Anego and Kurosawa, so it leaves you feeling a little disappointed.

Overall: Through ups and downs, through good and bad decisions, and through a hell of a lot of alcohol, you find yourself loving Anego more and more. This is a show I'd recommend to anyone with a glass of wine, who feels up for an evening of introspection.

I absolutely loved this drama! It was heart-warming, cute and entertaining. I admit that a fake marriage isn't the most original storyline ever but that isn't important when we are talking about a romantic comedy. We know more or less how the plot is going to develop and what the outcome will be. What makes these dramas interesting is the interactions between characters. If the characters are likeable and there's chemistry between them, the drama is enjoyable. And in this case, the main characters are excellent.

Hwang Jeong Min is an amazing actor who portraits Dong Baek as so good, honorable, and kind-hearted man that you just have to love him. Even though Dong Baek is a little simple and sometimes easily manipulated by others, he isn't a pathetic fool. I really admired his positive life philosophy: find reasons to smile and laugh even when bad things happen. More cynical person might find it annoying, I certainly didn't.

The first impression of the beautiful actress Ji Soo (Kim Ah Joong) is that she's a distant star but as the drama goes on she turns out to be a sweet and quite ordinary girl who isn't flawless either - and that's what makes her so charming and deserving of Dong Baek's love. I really liked how the main couple's relationship develops in a believable way despite the fact they seem quite mismatched at first glance.

A special mention goes to Sang Chul (Baek Sung Hyun), Ji Soo's little brother. Together with Dong Baek's little sister Min Ji (Lee Chung Ah) he adds some really adorable comedy elements to the drama when meddling in the main couple's relationship as a protective little brother. The interactions between these four characters offer some of the drama's best moments.

The plot is fine and the drama goes forward with good pace. There isn't too much angst or melodrama which I personally don't like that much. However, I came to almost despise Kang Mo and his slick smiles.

Music got only 6 because it wasn't that great and there were even some songs that annoyed me a bit. If the drama had a better soundtrack, it would be even more amazing.

I gave this drama overall 10 because I loved it so much; it was exactly the kind of drama I enjoy to watch. If you are searching for a drama that makes you laugh, shed a few tears and feel good and happy after watching it, I warmly recommend trying this one. You might even learn something from Goo Dong Baek! :)

It's a sweet series but it has too many episodes. The action is repetitive and slow. The relationship of our two heroes is cute but you'll find yourself feeling sorry for Nam Joon. Ka Ran becomes selfish and president Liu annoying. You'll ask yourself existential questions as to why you continued the series and why is Nam Joon so masochist?! Maybe you'll also enjoy the supportive actors more just so you'll have a reason to not get bored.

All in all it gets confusing and you ask God for all the patience in the world so you can finally finish the series. It takes all your might and you're finally done. And guess what? You conclude that you knew the ending all too well and still you wasted so much time.

The story was really fun. If you like mishaps and goofy dramas this is for you. The storyline was interesting and drew you through to the last episode. The guys are all cute in their own way.

There really isn't any drama or suspense in the storyline. Everything can be anticipated. The characters are all overacted which may annoy some. There are a few clumsy attempts at character development. But I still enjoyed it for what it is.

I would recommend this drama to people who liked RHPlus (although Atashi no Danshi is not as cheesy.) It's goofy, light hearted, and superficial. Sometimes you're just in the mood for that. At that time, check this out (^_*) v

This is a funny romantic drama played out in the corporate minefield. The set up provided lots of opportunities to laugh. Some of the characters are extreme and overacted, but entertaining. The heroine is very much an average example of what a woman in her mid 30s would be experiencing. There were some great opportunities to laugh and the romantic parts weren't syrupy sweet. I would definitely suggest this to people looking for work place dramas with strong female characters.

This is a really adorable drama.

It is not for people who like heavy drama, mystery, suspense, or romance.

It's the type of drama you could watch with your 8 year old cousin.

The town of Asakusa can be considered an additional character in this drama. After watching a few episodes, I researched Asakusa to understand a little bit about its history. The beautiful wagashi they made in the shop act as a Greek chours.

The characters are down to earth, but slightly idealistic and don't evolve much. I grew to sympathize with each of the characters and found myself invested in their lives and community.

This story is about family, personal struggles, depending on others to support you and finding the ability to support yourself. A little bit like the After School Specials we had in the US. I would suggest this drama to someone looking for a light hearted, family centered story.

This drama is refreshingly funny and deliciously entertaining! It tells a story of a put together dysfunctional family with just the right chemistry to make it irresistibly funny, loving, encouraging and inspiring. Ol Dal Gun (the main guy) is the coolest character. He is totally way off the chart with his humorous behaviors and actions. My favorite line from him that rubbed onto me is, "Do you want to smell dirt?!" Way too funny...you'll have to see it to understand what is meant by that line in its original context.

In terms of the human emotions, this one delivers it all! Although, it is probably meant to be more of a comedy drama than anything else, it touches your emotions on many fronts, that is, your feelings of happiness, anger, sadness, loneliness, laughter, sanity, etc. This one is not particularly a very deep drama in terms of love triangle relationship but I will say this, you won't be disappointed nonetheless. This one has just the right touch of love drama, not too much and not too little, but enough to keep you on the edge of your seat and feeling satisfied with a happy smile on your face when you reach the end.

Every character in this drama played their part in this film so perfectly, you can't help but fall in love with watching this one. I guarantee you'll be quite entertain from start to finish. If you're still reluctant...you shouldn't be...try out the first three episodes and you'll find yourself addicted to this drama in no time...I did...maybe you will too...

Overall, a very loving, funny, happy and entertaining drama that will have you laughing all the way through!

YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER DRAMA.

If you care about the look of a drama, the music, and the acting - then this is for you. I am a non-Korean living in America and I was worried about getting into the "sageuk" (Korean historical) dramas. However, Chuno is called a "fusion sageuk" because it isn't just guys standing around in traditional clothing spouting monologues. The music mixes between modern rock and old Korean. The lead actor, Jang Hyuk, will rock your socks off. At no time did I feel like I was watching an "actor" play Lee DaeGil, a man who straddles the line between likable and unlikable but always manages to capture your attention, he WAS DaeGil. What complex and interesting characters they put on screen! And if you are a girl, the men are incredibly good looking and frequently half-naked and fighting, so there is a lot of abdominal muscles to enjoy along with amazingly choreographed fight scenes lovingly filmed in slow-motion with a top of the line camera so everyone just looks GLORIOUS...

The cliffhangers at the end of each episode will make you forsake work and school for days. You become so invested in Lee DaeGil's story that you have no choice but to follow him until the end.

Watch this drama - you won't be disappointed (except for Lee Dae Hee's character (Un Nyun), then some disappointment comes with the territory).

This series had such an psychological impact on me, it left me speechless at how much circumstances can change the life of people. I was never a fan of material things but after watching it I understood something important : people are capable of many things! The reality is much worse, ambition rules the world and if you enter the circle there is no way out.

The story itself is so unique. You always see drama's that involve romance and comedy, there are even a ton of gender benders. But none quite like Hi My Sweetheart. Xue Hai held the award for biggest dork and completed the look with a mushroom head haircut, thick rimmed glasses and an under bite. Bao Zhu was shunned by everyone and didn't care what they thought until "Lin Da Lang" came to school.

One of the best things is that until about episode 5 the gender roles are reversed. Instead of the "innocent girl" falling for the "bad boy," You have an innocent boy falling for the girl everyone hates.

The casters did an amazing job with casting Show Luo as the main lead, seeing as he's a giant piece of eye candy. Rainie, who played an innocent girl in "Devil Beside You" did an amazing job with an opposite role. Together the two of them will have you wanting to cry at sad moments and yell at the screen as if they can hear you.

This is my all time favorite drama. I've re-watched several times and will continue to re-watch it. At first I had given up at episode three but curiosity took over and I started watching it again. At first you may seem disappointed, watching a dork when you want to watch a hunk. But it's all worth it.

You won't regret watching this.

I really enjoyed watching this show and now, it's one of my favorite dramas. It was very cute and funny. I got addicted to it around the 2nd episode, I think. It also contained the right amount of drama. There are dramas that become too dragging towards the end but this one's definitely not one of them. I loved the acting so much and the soundtrack was also really good. I'd say it's inspiring and really worth watching. The best thing I liked about it though was that everything ended well. Unlike many dramas I've watched before, I didn't feel like there should have been more when the series ended, or that there was something lacking that I'm dying to see. After finishing it, I felt happy and satisfied.

I was surprised by this series. When it started the action was a little slow so I thought that maybe I expected too much from an old show but as the story progresses the action gets better. I also have to add that it shows the imperfections of ones heart. Life cannot be planned, there will always be something to mess our plans on the way..And who knows?! It may be a good thing..

First off I know many people who either loved this drama to death or couldn't understand why anyone would love this drama.

In my opinion, I loved this drama very much when I was watching.

I'll say that the story wasn't that great, but it was different in a way where it was only until the very last few minutes did we truely know who the main ship was. (and might I add, the ship wars were crazy!)

Acting was great and solid, chemistry was sizzling!

The only thing I didnt really enjoy was that there were some parts where it got slow and draggy near the middle but definately worth it!

Wow...nicely executed, this drama really keeps you on the edge of your seat and consistently engages your emotions in a such a way that will literally have your blood start boiling and eye balls glued to the screen as you anxiously wait to see what will happen next. Furthermore, the plot of this drama, while simple in design is built with so many individuals intertwine into one big storyline, one can't help but feel over-time the complexities that arises out of such a simple course of action...

Going further, what makes this drama so engaging is that it puts the human emotions and experience of betrayal, vengeance, love, family, friendship, and money into a universal context that possibly anyone can relate to. First and foremost is the betrayal. You may have experienced in life when you felt betrayed by the very people/person who trust and admire...simply being used up and tossed aside like trash...one can't help but feel betrayed thus leading one into seeking vengeance for the pain that one has experienced...it is only justice, right? "Eye for an eye", as the saying goes...they made you suffer, you've experienced emotional pain, now they will get a taste of their own medicine...there's an interesting double karma that occurs in this drama that really makes you think, "Could there have been a better course of actions?"...

Along the way in one's vendetta, you meet people or someone who brings love and friendship into your life...your heart wavers because you begin to fall in love with this person...what will you do, when your heart betrays you as well? Will you give up your vengeance for this person?...seems like a very plausible thing to do and just forget about everything while you're still trying to complete your master plan...will falling in love mess you up?

Family is also important as well, as your action may consequently affect everyone in it...as well as those who are connected to your family...however, what if your family hides a dark secret, will it still justify for your actions and vengeance? Often in the scheme for power, it is really about about the money, the Benjamins...as greed is quite an over-powering human desire for more of everything in life...after all, money is what makes the world go round, right?...I think...well not really in my opinion but nonetheless we need it in order to survive in our current societies.

If you're not into those sappy and sad dramas...this one will be a treat for you...it's a thriller filled with twist and turns and I think blends very well with the love plot between the individuals who create a love triangle that's rather interesting to watch and see it unfold.
