Eventually the first 4 episode start with a bang, such an awsome first episode to set up the story further. The drama start with the present days, showing everyone fate before we get to know the past why they end up that way in the present days. The following episode, the drama suffer from too much PPL and fan service, make it look like a different show compare to what they have showed in the those first 4 awsome episode. Well after all, this drama has sold to china so they had to make alot of fan service, make the main narrative suffer from that and end up frustated alot of viewers. but the show indeed still have charm left that make me continue watching. THe character of Shin Jon Young given enough of depth it makes his choice much more sense. The acting oare overall well done, so it's hard to say Kim Woo Bin carrying this drama alone.  Well It's a very slow pace as somehow the show suffer on doesn't know to expand the storyline without some stereotype storyline. But thanks to this show. I got of what I got, the best performances from Kim Woo Bin (I think) , and Park Hyun Suk become my new Fav PD-NIM.

When the first pictures were released, I was really hyped, not gonna lie. Uncontrollably Fond was actually one of the only dramas I've ever watched the teasers before it aired, and I really, really thought I would love it. I've just finished it and my reaction for it is... meh. I liked it, I really did, but for some reason I expected something different, and this is completely my fault, but also, the ending disappointed me. I'll get to it in a second.

We all know how melodramas work and Uncontrollably Fond doesn't go astray from it - a lot of sadness and angst and some comic relief here and there. The drama doesn't give you anything you haven't seen before - but at least it doesn't make you frustrated, which is a really positive point for me.

I know a lot of people have been bashing Suzy for her acting, but I don't think she did bad. If you compare her to many of the supporting roles, she was actually great - but since the supporting characters are the comic relief, I'll just let the cringeworthiness of their acting aside.
Kim Woo Bin actually surprised me - I had only seen him in Heirs, and wow, with Uncontrollably Fond he actually made me cry. My favourite moments were his character's interactions with his mother.
All of the other leads did well. I was touched by their stories and I think that's enough.

What I really liked in Uncontrollably Fond is that the characters are real. Even though most of them are cliches we already know (and sometimes, hate - I'm looking at you, evil mother-in-law), they weren't completely good neither completely bad, all of them had their motivations and I appreciate that.
Also, the carefully placed flashbacks were amazing. The quick snipped from the previous episode every drama has before actually jumping to new developments of the story always had something to add, and I loved it.

Finally, for all these weeks I've been on this drama's protection squad. "You should watch it"; "it's not bad"; "you'll like it". And these aren't lies, at all. I can't say I didn't enjoy myself, it was a good drama; not exceptional, but good. I had fun, I rooted for the characters and felt the story with them. But, unfortunately, the last episode just killed it for me. All of the feelings and motivations and any curiosity you could gather from it just fell flat - I liked almost everything throughout the ride, but the end of it was disappointing. Everything was tied loosely, like the writer was in a hurry to finish it. It felt rushed and incomplete.

All in all, my point of view of the drama is currently being tarnished by the fact that I didn't like the last episode, but it may be worth a shot. I only warn you to prepare yourself for the feels, because it's everything really sad; Uncontrollably Fond lets you forget it is a melodrama just for a few moments before throwing you a bomb of emotions.

P.S.: I must say I'm completely in love with the soundtrack. It was carefully placed and A Little Braver is currently my new favourite song.

It was a good run.started so interesting and with hype then is got stable for a while . The cast did a good job but u could tell it felt more fictiony than real. Some lines were over the top but they redemed themselves towards the end. The last two episodes are tear jerking and sad but it was a good show anyways. The two did a great job with their chemistry although in the beginning i wasn't really comfortable coz shes lee minhos girlfriend

Acting was excellent, music was absolutely incredible - I have it all on my iPod now - and the story, I thought, was mostly well written too. Uncontrollably Fond's only real issue was how utterly depressing and crushing its story was and, unfortunately, that really dropped it's rating for me personally.

The first maybe 10 episodes (I can't remember exactly) are as depressing as you'd expect from your average melodrama, but each episode always gave you a little bit of excitement, love or cuteness to keep you going. And it did keep it going for me - in fact, I raced through the first half of this drama loving it despite how much it hurt me. However, getting into the second half of the drama it became too much for me. It gets to the point where you feel so overwhelmed by how depressing it is that it's a struggle to continue watching due to the heavy depressing weight that sits on your heart while you watch.

A lot of melodramas have this depressing middle where almost everything could be solved by one person saying something instead of keeping secrets (etc.) so believe me I still had hope for this drama right till the final episode; a hope that, like in a lot of melodramas, either everything would work out in the end or, in this case, the satisfaction from things wrapping up would give you a feeling that all the hurt was worth it. It's a melodrama so of course you expect hurt and to cry a lot, but I thought that after they wrapped everything up I'd feel some kind of relief or satisfaction for the characters that everything they went through was worth it... but, alas, the ending, to me, felt just as depressing as the rest of the drama.

I may, at some point, re-watch the first half of the drama for the cute moments that hooked me in, but I don't think I'll ever re-watch the rest of it - it's too depressing.

A great mix of uncontrollable emotions

is drama is pretty much why people or at least I fell in love with K-dramas filled with wrist-grabs, lies, corruption, banter, fun leads at times annoying side characters that still work, way to much yelling, muscles, gazes, kisses, impossible love and pain... A lot of pain!

So after rewatching this drama I actually upped the score from a 9,5 to a 10 as it may not pe perfect and indeed has some pretty messed up lines, side plots and skippable scenes it pretty much reminded me of why I fell in love with K-dramas and even though I knew what I was in for I still kept wanting to press that button to watch the next episode.

To be clear I was annoyed at the yelling, and some of the lines as well as parts of the portrayals of the terminally ill did make my blood boil. But the good part make up for the bad. Giving em every single emotion known, showing great contrast between happiness and pain. Offering us the viewers some of dramalands most powerful scenes. Not to mention great chemistry and awful, just awful parents willing to latterly throw their kid under a truck to get ahead in life.

Ad some beautiful scheneery and and an amazing OST and such great lines as:

"My head was about to burst because of a certain girl. I thought this party would distract me. But.. I was wrong"

And you are in for an enjoyable binge, a painful binge, but my och my do I love this type of pain...

Basically the story is pretty nice, is not the most original one but has good flow. The only thing I personally add about it is that in some point, there's too many problems or situation that you tend to be desperate as how is going to turn out (precisely for Shin Joon Yeong's condition -Kim Woo Bin-)

About acting skills, most of characters are well developed, even Noh Eul (Suzy). Some people seem to criticise her acting skills but Suzy's character is not as demanding in script as Kim Woo Bin's character (although they have both tragic backgrounds)

In the matter of music I loved it. It has a good selection and is very recognisable when you hear it.

About watching it again.. NO. I was really tormented, the story is indeed a huge pile of problems and excruciating moments that I don't want to suffer again. I totally recommend this drama but watch it through only once.

Most of people are very severe with this drama because of the ending. It's not what the majority wanted it to be and I believe it's also the reason why Kim Woo Bin came forward apologising for his choice in doing this drama (which I don't see why he has to, really. I didn't want it to happen either but you deal with it)
I loved the drama.

Everyone seems mistook the series as a romance melodrama, which is not the main point about this show. Uncontrollably fond, everyone will do anything to their beloved one, even doing something wrong and unforgivable just to experience a little happiness and seeing your beloved one happy. Everyone whom are involved in all this circle turn a blind eye. Uncontrollably fond depict a court drama without court, There is a victim, a culprit, a judge who use his power to cover up. And there is someone who relate to both side, and interfering I don't find this drama depressing if you try and look the drama itself more objective. If there is flaw about this drama, it's too much PPL and it take the show too long unnecesarily to get the whole point after 4 introduction episode. It makes some people who are looking for a meaty stuff from the writers suddenly lost interest. But I thank the writers, the cast and the director to create this drama. It has flaw, but It's rare to see a mainstream drama acting this solid. It's so enjoyable to watch. Suzy aside, almost an important character is reliable at acting. The acting might be not as strong as the writers previous project, but this is still better than average popular drama out there. And I will never forget Kim Woo Bin's acting transformation and what he bring to Joon Young's character. This is the first time I see him as a real actor. I love the whole atmosphere and ambiance the director created. How he depict emotion each character, those little nuance the actor has shown capture perfectly, he makes the actor shine. Watch for the acting and the directing.

Be aware that this is a pretty sad drama so if you're looking for something light and fun then look elsewhere!! With that warning out of the way, let's go through the pros and cons. Things I loved about this drama are Kim Woo Bin and his acting. He really pulls off this sort of character which is not an easy task.
The drama also has excellent cinematography. I loved the colors of the scenes along with the pretty locations and other great visual elements. The drama also had an excellent soundtrack that made everything so much more beautiful. Some cons of the drama include being too cliche, being too miserable and the story line drags out quite a bit in the middle. All in all I enjoyed the story. The writing could have been better but the ending was satisfactory and pays off the audience for watching until the end.

K-Trauma not a K-Drama

Knew what was coming from the very first episode , but i still couldnt prepare myself for it.
The last few episodes were so painfully beautifull and heart-crushing... The ending was so painfull and this show turned out to be one of the first Tv shows/movie to make me cry

There was nothing about this Drama i Mean Truma that dissapointed me. The plot line was never boring, The acting from Suzy and Woo Bin was absolutely amazing and the Music Cues were on point.

This has to and will remain to be one of my 10/10s and would Definitely Force/Encourage people to watch it ( Though idk if i should cause no one should watch such a sad ending)
This show is guaranteed to make everyone and everything cry.
The only reason the rewatch rating of this show is low is because there is no way Me(or Anyone ) can handle watching this masterpeice again.

It’s a drama filled with cliches just the way I like it. It’s lengthy so I got to binge watch it and there’s nothing like staying in bed for hours watching a cliche romance. It’s not groundbreaking and that’s ok.

The music could’ve been better. Rewatch only if you know you’ll enjoy it just as much as the first time, or if you’re hoping to notice things you didn’t notice before to appreciate it in a different perspective. If you were to ask me I’d say ClOY, instead of this show, is definitely something you could rewatch. I wouldn’t say a show is bad just because I wouldn’t rewatch it; some are better only watched once and Uncontrollably Fond is one of them.

As its name Uncontrollably fond , this one is the most saddest yet meaningful drama i've ever watched. You should watch this if you can watch sad but amazing kind of drama. You'll never regret it ,if you would understand it. This one is ONE OF A KIND????.All Uncontrollable circumstances ends up worthwhile because of Sim Joon Young & Choi Ji Tae , How Amazingly Suzy played her role, Hat's off to all those actors including these three, I loved how they made this drama so Beautiful. My top Korean drama

This was such a heartbreaking drama, it all hits you at the end and it is so sad to feel. I can still remember the pain I've felt after watching this drama like imagine you being with someone and then one day they're gone. The feeling of someone you love dying is so saddening to even imagine, I love how it ended like that and I don't think it's incomplete because sometime it's just how the way it is, so heartbreaking and it's the best Korean drama that I've watched. The acting was on point, the story was so good, for me everything was perfect from the beginning to the end.

My highlight of the drama are Shin Young's eyes, Kim Woo Bin is such a great actor and I hope he gets well soon too, his eyes are so emotional and you can see the pain through his acting with just his eyes. This drama made me love Bae Suzy even more too, I saw people abashed her for her acting bad after Shin Young died which is clearly false, if you ever lost someone you love and cried your tears through day and night, the next day, you just feel lost and Bae Suzy portrayed the character so well, Noh Eul was empty that's why she acted like that at the balcony scene, she didn't cry anymore because she already lost it all and also herself from the time being as someone she cherished died. Lastly, the OST of this song is so good, one of the best OST in a Korean drama, Golden Love is such a good song and everyone should hear it.
