Both dramas consist of strong female leads. Both fought hard to uphold ideals and be righteous, battling the evil. Both had powerful masters to aid and guide them in difficulties.
Both pay some amount of significance to inheritance of past old men and fight techniques, which have names unlike many other wuxia dramas.

the both are not liked much by people and they both are fated to find a precious mysterious artifact that makes others like them more but still are preyed on by others.
