Jenny ([[Park Min Ji]]), y Juno ([[Kim Hye Sung]]), son una pareja encantadora de estudiantes que como es de imaginarse, están enamorados. Juno es transferido de Busan al colegio donde estudia Jenny, presidenta del alumnado además de destacada estudiante con excelente promedio. El suyo es amor a primera vista y comienzan a salir cándidamente. La pareja más popular de la escuela es envidiada por todos sus compañeros, pero también querida y respetada: el chico más guapo y la chica más inteligente nacieron el uno para el otro, a decir de los rumores. Un día, Jenny recibe una sorpresa de parte del destino: está embarazada. Media hora después se lo comunica a Juno en la azotea de la escuela de una forma bastante peculiar: "Juno, ¿me querías aún si no tuviera un brazo?", por supuesto. "Juno, ¿me querías aún si no tuviera una pierna?", claro que sí Jenny. Pasadas ambas pruebas, Jenny va al punto: "Juno, ¿y me querrías si te digo que estoy embarazada?" Luego de recibir el shock más grande que ha experimentado en su corta vida, Juno se pregunta ¿Y cómo pasó eso?, a lo que Jenny le responde con una mueca de disgusto, como si no lo supiera o le fuera tan difícil imaginarlo. Es a partir de allí que corre una historia dulce, sencilla pero profunda en cuanto a valores familiares y sociales que rodean a los dos jóvenes, quienes deciden tener a su bebé y enfrentar su responsabilidad como padres amorosos y poderse casar. On the one hand this movie is a really sweet, young love, romance story. I liked that a lot. It was so cute and both main characters did a very good job portraying their age and love for each other.
Now, on the other hand, the love and story seems incongruent to what is actually happening. Jenny is 15?Korean years? and she becomes pregnant. This is where I had the problem with the story. When it ended I really was left wondering what the point of the whole movie was.
The pregnancy situation was EXTREMELY UNREALISTIC,IMO.There were no consequences to becoming a teen parent. No moral, physical, social, etc. consequences. The girl didn't even get morning sickness or lose her flat stomach. Having a baby is a beautiful thing, but it is also difficult and a huge responsibility. The movie showed none of that. Everything was sweet, rainbows, and roses.From what I could see. There was really no conflict, and the little conflict there was, was not presented strongly enough.
Were they promoting teen pregnancy? Sex education?.IDK Even the sound track was very childish. There was even a scene were they show a video on what happens in an abortion that was very one sided. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with abortion, just that the scene was presented in what in the USA is called, ProLife, kind of way.
Anyway, it was sweet, but the topic was handled in very unrealistically.
but overall the characters and actor/actress is cute,so i guess to pass your time you could watch this movie :D I watched it in my summer holiday to pass time too :D
