Runway Cop (2012)

Había oído hablar poco de esta película, pero una noche sin nada que hacer, y buscando me la volví a encontrar y me anime...
De verdad que sin ser la mejor cinta coreana de comedia, me divertí, tiene escenas y situaciones super disparatadas, de esas que solo pasan en las pantallas chicas o grandes, los personajes muy bien elaborados, y que decir de los actores masculinos como Kang Ji Hwang, Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Young Kwan, estuvieron geniales; esa voz de Soo Hyuk es fantástica... magnifica.
El que me sorprendió mucho fue Shin Mil Chul, quien lo había visto solo en una película anterior, y con esa actuación de "loca" fue genial, no cualquiera lo hace.
La historia no es muy rebuscada ni difícil, es hasta un poco predecible pero la forma en que se desarrollan las cosas la hace amena y divertida, hasta sentimental en una que otra ocasión.
El único problema que le encontré, fue que después de verla, no me podía quedar dormida, me recargo bacteria completamente... además creo que es muy larga, y se podía haber acortado un poco más pues hay escenas que parecen más de relleno que otra cosa.

i will try to be objective but i also will admit to getting a fan girl nosebleed (for the very first time)at the end. Runway Cop is similar to the american movie Miss congeniality but in korea and from a male perspective.
i loved the acting. my oppa, kang Ji hwang is an amazing actor and played both the nasty looking and suave looking sides very well. The supporting actors did very well, Yuri was convincing. The story concept was realistic, however the details were not. In most stories Ji Hwangs character would have been fired before the halfway point but as the main character in the story, he could do what he wanted.
It is a comedy and it makes you laugh, but be prepared to watch some slapstick because thats what it comes down to. although there are poor jokes, penis innuendos, and other tom foolery, runway cop is chuck full of man eye candy (with their shirts off!!) so watch just for that.
As a Ji Hwang fan this is a must see! seeing him in a fat suit with great fat makeup made me love him even more. I squealed the whole movie and at the end got a bloody nose. no matter how poor the storyline was it was a worthwhile watch for me and i will probably rewatch the end a few times.

Three words: FUNNY AS HELL!! The first 10 minutes, I was in tears. Kang Ji Hwan is a comedy genius! I never realized how funny he was! When it was funny, it was seriously funny! Not only did he do a great job, all of the cast did a great job!! And let's not forget all of the handsome, handsome men!! The final fashion show was DAEBAK!! And if you have never seen Kang Ji Hwan, with red hair and all in white; you are in for a TREAT!!!

Overall, it was fun to watch, there was a slight lag in the middle as they switched to the serious, but once you get past that, it goes back to funny until the final minutes! But I must say, you are going to love this!!

I thought I will watch this no matter how many the negative reviews are just for the sake of Hong Gil Dong's memory. I thought I'm in a boring ride.. But I was wrong! Totally hilarious and will keep you watching till the end!

I love the acting.. You can never go wrong with Kang Ji Hwan! Plus the supports are great as well. There are a lot of fanservice *Kyaaa! And a bonus subtitle BL from the other 2 models for those who love BLs!

The OST and BGM was good. I think it is appropriate but nothing too worthy to add in you list of OSTs.

There was no plot holes in the story. Yes it is simple but it managed to deliver it awesomely and fast paced. I think there is no boring scene.

If you are looking for something light that has action, comedy and a bit of romance into it, I definitely recommend this one!

I watched this w/ my Unnie yesterday. It was rly good. I enjoyed all the comedy (she didn't....just 1 way of how we r different). What I enjoyed the most is how AWESOME Kang Ji Hwan is as an actor. He totally throws himself into w/e role he is playing. He made nasty like super nasty. I can't believe he was able to gain that much weight and then loose it as quickly as he did plus buff it up. He is just AWESOME! I also enjoyed getting to see some "Flower Boys" in this. I love Lee Soo Hyuk's voice. There just aren't that many smexy guys w/ voices that make u melt like that. It's like an Asian chocolate rain voice. Anyway! I totally thought this was a rly good movie & I even made my Unnie stop & play certain parts again so I could make sure I saw what I did b/c it was just too funny. I don't think that this movie will let any1 down, even if u r not a comedy fan. It has serious parts & a little romance at the end. I invite every1 to give it a chance. I mean come on who doesn't like Kang Ji Hwan?

Oh NOs! i'm the first to write a review and it's not going to be pretty :(

i had really high hopes for this movie. KJH and SYR?? best couple EVER!

but the movie... just sort of...was. there are some funny moments, REALLY funny moments, mostly KJH being KJH the comedic genius that he is. but aside from that there really isnt a whole lot going on. SYR is just sort of there, it felt like she was only in the movie for may thirty minutes. when she was on screen she wasnt really a character more of a charactiture that turned into someone completely different somewhere along the line for no apparent reason. the plot is a mess, half the time it only makes sense in a "i heard what you are saying but, huh?" kind of way.

there are a couple of nice moments with the two main models but they are short and leave you wondering why these two are even in the movie to begin with other that to be young and pretty next to KJH's not that young and pretty.

to sum up, it just wasnt that great and the sparse awesome bits werent enough to compltely redeem it.

Although I am not a fan of comedies, I enjoyed this movie. It was totally hilarious in a very immature way. There are some extremely gross parts and they use bodily functions as a tool for laughter. I don't like those parts, but I just closed my eyes and ignored those. The rest of the movie is great. Kang Ji Hwan has an ability to let go of any "idol" status that he has and throw himself into this all encompassing disgusting role. Thank whatever deity you prefer that he comes back to himself by the end of the movie. By the end I was surprised with the fact that I actually cared that the "show must go on". Sung Yu Ri is beautiful and I really enjoyed her character. I love Lee Soo Hyuk who is also in this movie. Why oh why do I have to search for movies/dramas that he is in??? WILL SOMEONE PLEASE SUB VAMPIRE IDOL!!! Anyway, I recommend that everyone watch this. It is funny!!! and exciting!!!

It is my very first time seeing Kang Ji Hwan being obnoxious and gross in his role and he made me roll on the floor laughing.

This detective comedy movie is hilarious. Personally, I am not impressed with the fighting choreography, perhaps because it's a comedy action and the love story is not that developed or has no depth. I don't feel the chemistry and seems like half baked. I think that KJH acting as comedian here is somewhat exaggerated, on other note, he is still different here from his serious role. So guys, don't watch this when you are eating, or else! *it's a compliment!

Since the case is in fashion industry, expect to see a lot of eye candy here and whoa, Kang Ji Hwan is so smokin hot after the transformation, guys, wait till you see him half naked! *faints

Overall, it is entertaining.

This is my go-to movie when I need a good laugh. Don't let my scoring mislead you into thinking this is some groundbreaking movie. It's not. I'm judging it as it's genre, comedy. And as a comedy it's gold. You will literally laugh out loud.

Kang Ji Hwan is fantastic as a crazy, slob cop! He really gives it his all without going too over-the-top. Lee Hee Joon is also really funny as his partner. All the side cops & chief are great too. They really mesh well & feel like they're a unit that has been working together for awhile. Another comedic standout is Shin Min Chul as a model.

Without giving away specific scenes, I'll just say that the whole movie will have you laughing from start to finish. It's comedy galore! There's also a little romance and a few sweet, heartwarming moments too.

Plus, lots of eye candy! Including cameos from my loves: Kim Woo Bin & Park Bo Gum. :)

I see that Song Jae Rim is listed as another model cameo & there is a long-haired model like Jae Rim's hair used to be but I really don't think that's him. This movie isn't listed in his filmography on any other site.

So if you're looking for a good comedy then definitely check out Runway Cop. Don't take it seriously & just enjoy it for what it is.
