This episode introduces an old friend from Shinoda who had worked together with her in the ground personal, but is now trying to gain his license as a pilot for the Triple 7. He already failed two times and blames Yamashita (the air controller) that he had not provided him with enough information. This gives the self-centered Yamashita a lot of thoughts and in the end he doesn't see pilots as his tool anymore, but also as people that help to transport the passengers safely.
