Fluffly and Sweet

(I'll keep this review short because there already very lengthy and in depth one so check them out if you want to know everything)
The original version of A Love So Beautiful is way better in terms of everything. The story of this K-Drama version was not as heartwarming and deep and moving as the original hence I couldn't feel much for the characters. K version skipped many important things elements of the story that made the original one a hit. If you forget that an original version of this drama exists then this is just a bland and typical cliche drama without any speciality.
Besides the ML in this was too soft and FL was just ok in my opinion, also their romance seemed boring too there was just not much chemistry. It was a sweet remake and I kind of liked it although I skipped so many secens as I neared the end. I won't recommend watching K version of A Love So Beautiful when you can easily access the original Chinese version.

Edit- I'll re-watch the original now, it's my favorite show and I feel like this I need some healing after watching this almost bleh version.

é tão ruim que eu daria um zero.

Eu comecei a assistir só por achar o protagonista masculino bonito, mas no final eu estava odiando tanto ele que a beleza desapareceu.
A protagonista se humilha tanto que dava vontade de enfiar a cabeça em um buraco de tanta vergonha alheia.
O protagonista era sem graça, sem sal, chato e irritante, eu acho que a protagonista realmente só viu a beleza dele, porque não é possível se apaixonar por alguém com menos personalidade que uma parede, a desculpa que ele deu por ser um babaca foi um "Eu era muito jovem", até minhas gatas conseguiriam desculpas melhores ☠️. No entanto, o Daesung, que era um cara legal, engraçado e que realmente gostava da protagonista e tratava ela como algo luxuoso e não algo lixoso, foi rejeitado.
No fim as únicas pessoas que me davam forças pra terminar de assistir eram a Hayoung e o Jinhwan, que se fossem o casal protagonista com certeza seriam MUITO melhores.

a love so cheesy and soft

i did not like this korean remake at all. the development of their love story felt extremely rushed, and the overall plot was too soft, fluffy, cheesy, and just cringe in my opinion.
i did not find this series interesting at all and only continued watching it to see if the main leads will end up together or not. i usually find those 'cheesy' and cliche kdramas interesting, for example a business proposal (which i rated 10/10), but from this one i am highly disappointed.
overall, i wouldn't really recommend watching this kdrama as it's pretty plain, maybe just as a time-killer.

Not bad adaption

This is my first time watching a Korean series. First time watching a series that I have already watched previously in a different language. Although it is an "adaption" to the Mandarin one of the same name, I don´t think we should judge that harshly nor compare it so strictly with each other. Both series have their own specialty, uniqueness and awesomeness. I find the Korean version of A Love So Beautiful quite interesting. The casts did quite a good job, although some of the quirkiness you find in the Mandarin one you cannot find it in this one. Overall, the storyline is quite similar. I really love the songs paired for this series and especially the wedding dance. But, nonetheless, great job!

Rushed

I didn't see the chinese version so i won't be able de compare.

This drama is alright for a love triangle drama. Not extraordinary but not bad either.
I would say the overall result a pass.

I liked the short format. But i might have been a disavantage.
Some characteres are underdevelopped . For example, elements are introduced to explain a bit a of the ML's back story but they are not used. As if the director cut those part due to a lack of time.
I suppose that the FL should funny , clumsy and adorable. Well i only remember her as havinga two-emotion: cringy - overly excited.

I enjoyed that the story didn't focus just on their high school year. However i feel that more time could have been spend on their "adulthood". Once again the story was rush.

As the story shows the character aging, the castings is really important. Yet i felt that the FL actress was too hold to make me believe she was a highschooler.

Nothing I have ever watched or probably ever will watch could call me single more than this series

If you're looking for your next cute romance kdrama, this is the one

Every episode definitely brought me a lot of laughs and there were only a couple tears along the way :')

The one way I reckon this drama rly stood out was character likability - I'm usually pretty harsh and extremely picky when it comes to characters I like, but this was probably the only time I've come to rly like all of the main cast, even side characters too, (Except for the 2nd lead ofc, don't hate me pls, I just always hate the 2nd lead character, I can't avoid it)

But overall its definitely one I'd recommend, a great casual light hearted watch :))

Started up bad but ended up good.

For someone who watched the original version, I can't help myself but to compare. But in this review, I'm going to limit the comparison and mainly focus in this Korean version.

First of all, as a fan of Kim Yohan since PDX101, I'm so happy that finally he made his acting debut. But tbh, his acting is kinda stiff and confusing. I understand that it is his first acting but the viewers need more than that. Poor acting really affects the whole show.
Same with So Juyeon. I love her so much in Dr. Romantic but his role here is cringe and look like she's forcing to be cute and clumsy which didn't really work.
Yep Hoe Hyun's acting on the other hand, is commendable. He's cute and sexy at the same time. Wu Busong and Woo Dae Sung, you both match and did your role perfectly.
Then we have Jung Jin Hwan. Unlike the C-version, I don't find him cute, adorable, and funny. I'm not really happy but still he did well too.
The good thing about this remake is how they change the episode of Kang Ha Young not falsely admitting that she is the one who gives the medicine to her depressed classmate. In the Chinese version, I was really annoyed by that scene.

The first part of the story (during their highschool days) is pretty boring and plain. The only reason I keep watching is to finish what I started. Thankfully, the moment they enter University, the story is getting good and I'm glad to see that progress.

The music really fits the concept, I like it more than the remake of the drama itself.

Overall, I give this a rating of 7.5 over 10. If only they manage to be consistent from the very start, maybe I can give them a higher rating points than this. I'm sorry Yohan but I'm just trying to be objective and hopefully on your next drama project, I can see your improvement. A Love So Beautiful Korean Remake is cute and sweet but not really memorable.

Adorável, o tipo de drama para assistir quando está a procura de algo mais clichê

A própria narrativa deste drama é completamente previsível, mas por outro lado tem alguns pontos que fazem valer a pena assistir cada episódio. Não gostei muito da atuação, e como não assisti a versão original não posso ter um comparativo, mas o que me fez terminar realmente foi o desenvolvimento da Shin Sol-i e o casal secundário formado por Jin-hwan e Ha-young. Gostei do fato de que o Heon não é um babaca completo, muitas das falhas dele foram de comunicação e falta de iniciativa, nada que fizesse com que fosse terrível a ideia de que ele e Sol-i são endgame.
Em questão de second lead, achei um pouco fraco. Não dá pra ficar super triste pelo Dae-sung, apesar de que como amigo ele é um personagem incrível, e inclusive senti falta de um pouquinho mais de foco na história dele. Dentre todos os personagens principais, acredito que o Jin-hwan e a Sol-i foram os com o melhor desenvolvimento. Evoluíram demais desde o início da história, e na minha visão os escritores fizeram um bom trabalho com eles, gostaria que Dae-sung, Ha-young e Heon tivessem um desenvolvimento tão bom quanto. É perceptível que evoluíram também, mas em alguns pontos parecia que ainda estava vendo aquela versão com 16 anos na parte em que eles já estão adultos.
Num geral, foi um drama ótimo para assistir rápido e para ~matar a saudade~ de ver uns clichês ambientados no ensino médio.

A huge serotonin boost

This was so cute. This made me smile (and cringe) the most of all the dramas I watched.

Please check out my bio for the standards of a 10/10 drama. And a disclaimer: just because it's a web drama and an idol actor, my mind already had prejudice against it.

This was such a happy feel-good drama. I literally had no negative and crying points in this drama. The story was problem-free, simple, and was carried mostly by comedy. There was little to no unnecessary drama. One thing I love is that all the characters had a happy ending, which not many web dramas or dramas can deliver. I know this was originally a Chinese drama, but I can say for sure that I enjoyed this one a lot more (no offense~).

The cast was amazing. I can say for a fact that the female lead carried this drama, though the other characters contributed their fair share. The cast was perfect for their role, but I still can't rave enough how perfect JuYeon was for the role. I actually came to support Yohan ex-X1 and WeI member, but I can say for sure I stayed for both the leads.

Lastly, this is the best thing about short dramas: the music. The OST sung by SinB was such a bop that I even added it to my daily playlist.

Overall, I would definitely RECCOMEND this especially for times when you are feeling down.

Cringy

This drama is so cringy
This is the first drama where I just can't finish it omg it's awful
This drama is a spin off of the Chinese drama from 2017 (which I have not watched) so maybe my opinion doesn't count since I've not watched it but for the korean spin off I'm sorry its awful

The female lead is annoying and cringe I just wanted to slap her, she comes across as a stalker and its not cute
The male lead is so moody and dry

I really liked the 2nd male lead he really tried everything for the lead but she was so stupid and bruh I can't HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE YOU'RE IN A LOVE TRIANGLE!!!!!!
The 2nd female lead had a big crush on one of the teachers and I think he liked her too she was underaged bruh don't romanticize pedophilia

It was good! It is a little basic, since it's just your average love story, but it was really cute. It has all of the classic aspects/components to a high school love story. I thought that some of the motives for the characters or for the plot to change were weak. In other words, I don't really get why the story had gone in certain directions or it didn't make sense to me. But then again, a lot of love stories are like that. Another thing to add is that I thought this drama was just high school life, but it's actually their love story from around 16-35 years old.

I really don't wanna be mean, but at some times I thought that the female actress who plays Shin Sol-i is too old for her character or that the other cast members look too young. To me, it's obvious that she's not the same age as the rest of the cast (since they're supposed to be from the same year) and that bothered me little. But, I do know that she's literally perfect for the role and her smile is really contagious, which is one important aspect of Shin Sol-i. She just appears older.....

The acting was okay.... I mean it's obvious that they're acting/it didn't really feel natural, but I get that vibe from all cheesy dramas. The music on the other hand, BOMB. Sooo cute. It added so much to the drama and I couldn't help but smile when I heard the music coming in.

I won't be able to make a comment on if the Chinese version is better, since I didn't watch it. Although Shen Yue (who plays "Shin Sol-i" in the Chinese version) is really a sweet person, so check out the original drama too.
