Much better then its prequel partner.
Overall, I liked this spinoff.It tried to give us fan service but somehow they made the story the appeal to watching this. The first two episodes were good at setting up the story (which is explained in the prequel as to how we get there) and then adding tension. After that, the third episode introduces the fan service (which looks worst than some fan-made concepts) and then does a major thing with a character loved by many. I was not expecting them to do that. Also, very gruesome scenes all throughout; very different from the show.
This is actually something that I would rewatch as part of a Zi-O rewatch. I feel that the way it ties up with the post-Zi-O ending movies is really good.
