Sí, pero no

Comparto un tanto la decepción que ya he leído en varios comentarios con respecto a la serie. La verdad es que inicialmente pintaba bien en cuanto a producción y a historia. No obstante, si tenemos en cuenta el libro, quienes lo hemos leído sabíamos a lo que veníamos. Con esto me refiero a que la romantización de la violación y el no consentimiento es un pilar de la historia de KP tanto en lo audiovisual como en lo escrito.

Lo que más se salva de la serie son en sí las actuaciones y, para mi gusto, la banda sonora. Es cierto que puede resultar repetitiva, pero he de confesar que me encanta la canción de la cabecera de la serie, así que la podría escuchar mil veces sin cansarme.

Lo que menos se salva es el argumento, que va perdiendo fuelle desde los primeros capítulos. Llegó un momento en que, sinceramente, casi no tenía ni idea de qué estaba viendo. El hilo conductor son las relaciones entre los protagonistas y... poco más. Que muy bien porque la actuación es muy buena y la química también, pero se queda ahí; llega un momento en que básicamente la trama es el sexo y todas las metáforas de pistolas y "pistolas". Demasiadas metáforas; por favor, para próximas temporadas: no más metáforas sobre anatomía masculina.

Sobre las relaciones entre los protagonistas, qué decir. Ninguna pareja es ejemplo de lo que es una relación sana, consentida y calibrada. En todos los inicios de las tres parejas hay manipulación y luz de gas. No podemos por alto que KP comienza con una violación en toda regla, estando Porsche en un estado en el que puede dar cero consentimiento (incluso en el primer beso, que está borracho como una cuba); es un poco cansino que en los BL romanticen la violación y parezca que no importa porque al final "pues oye, pues se quieren". Ya que han cambiado ciertas cosas del libro, podrían haberle dado una vuelta a cómo adaptar esto. Una ambientación en la mafia no tiene por qué ser sinónimo de normalizar la agresión sexual, creo que ya es hora de traer esto al mundo audiovisual destinado además a un público joven.

Obviamente, si hablamos de no consentimiento y manipulación tenemos VegasPete llamando a la puerta y trayendo vino para la cena. No obstante, si bien su historia no me parece algo a emular en la vida real, me ha parecido la mejor llevada en el sentido de que, verdaderamente, se ve que hay conflicto emocional en los personajes. Evidentemente hubiera estado mucho mejor llevado si hubieran aprovechado algo más que literalmente 4 capítulos para darle un desarrollo propicio a todo esto. Me gusta mucho la química que han desarrollado Bible y Build y cómo han caracterizado a los personajes, pero todo está demasiado apresurado. He de decir también que la escena NC entre ambos personajes es la única que me ha parecido con cierto "significado" en la trama, como que comunica algo además de la propia carnaza en sí, que no es algo que me haya parecido con las que hay entre KP.

De KimChay casi ni comento porque es un poco vergonzoso lo apresurado que han hecho todo. Tiene razón quien afirma que parecen historias que suceden en universos distintos. Es una pena porque son personajes cuya trama podría dar bastante de sí teniendo en cuenta el conflicto que hay entre ambas familias y todas las mentiras de Kim.

Por otro lado, los personajes. Creo que han intentado darle un desarrollo a Kinn y Porsche y se traduce a lo largo de los capítulos, aunque veo inconsistencias sobre todo en cuanto al último. La "esencia" de Porsche prácticamente desaparece a lo largo de la serie y se convierte de repente en ese hombre serio y novio de mafioso que deja toda su vida por él. No me cuadra mucho teniendo en cuenta que es el único cuidador de su hermano y lo mucho que se resalta eso inicialmente.

Lo mismo me pasaba con Pete al inicio (aunque su desarrollo me parece más "coherente" que el de Porsche en varios aspectos): es un jefe de guardaespaldas y te lo pintan como el más torpe de la clase. No tiene mucho sentido. Sí que me ha parecido curioso lo del lado morboso y apreciativo del dolor que tiene (que, fijándose, se puede apreciar en algunos capítulos. Es el único que mira sin perder ripio cuando Vegas le arranca los dientes a un rehén, por ejemplo). Tampoco me parece que tenga mucho sentido el apego que le tiene a su familia (la abuela en concreto) y de repente, sabiendo que le pueden matar, se ofrezca para ir a meterse en la boca del lobo con Vegas. Me siguen faltando cosas como digo.

Creo que el personaje que mejor han cuidado y desarrollado con más coherencia ha sido el de Vegas; al menos le han dado un trasfondo coherente y un atisbo de evolución claro, si bien creíble. Es decir, Vegas sigue siendo Vegas, sigue siendo volátil aunque esté enamorado y seguirá dando guerra. Un detalle muy pequeño: utiliza a sus guardaespaldas de escudo humano en el último capítulo. Él, que iba de apreciar y tratarlos bien a todos para que Porsche se uniera a su familia. Me parece algo coherente a su carácter: mantener el instinto de preservación a pesar de que podamos ver su lado más "humano".

Finalmente, hay cosas incongruentes en la trama en cada momento. La traición de Ken no hay por dónde cogerla - o, al menos, así me lo parece - así como los sentimientos de Big y que muera protegiendo a Porsche. También tiene delito que todos sean guardaespaldas y ni uno lleve chaleco antibalas, lo que nos habría ahorrado muchos disgustos. Y ya, lo de que todos se olviden de Pete después de que se haya ido de misión a la casa de Vegas, mejor ni lo comentamos. Y, bueno, mejor no comentar tampoco las escenas del capítulo 14 porque, aunque se observa muy buena voluntad, los efectos de las explosiones son bastante de risa y qué decir de las escenas de lucha cuando van entre cuarenta a atacar a dos y esperan a pegar por turnos. Son "fallitos" de peli de acción de toda la vida, pero no dejan de hacerme gracia.

En definitiva, no creo que sea una mala serie y, de hecho, admito que me ha enganchado mucho y me la he acabado en pocos días, pero creo que no ha llegado a las expectativas que ha creado. Seamos sinceros, también estas expectativas eran muy altas y no se puede satisfacer a todo el mundo, pero quizá habiendo prestado más atención a algunos detalles hubieran hecho una serie mucho más redonda. BOC ha invertido mucho en promoción y en espectáculo (me recuerda bastante a la promoción del Kpop en cierto modo) y se nota, pero puede hacerlo mejor.
Espero que haya una segunda temporada en la que puedan calibrar mejor todas las historias, la trama y el desarrollo de los personajes. A destacar, por supuesto, el gran trabajo actoral (en especial de Bible, creo que es un actor brutal y no se nota para nada que éste es su primer trabajo; al menos, yo no lo percibo).

Una obra de arte

Voy a ser breve con la review porque lo terminé de ver hace como tres sábados. Todavía no supero la majestuosidad de la serie.

Para empezar tenemos una trama que te atrapa desde el segundo cero con un excelente balance entre comedia, acción y drama. El trabajo de cámara, los colores y el guión son un 10/10 que realza el increíble trabajo que realizaron los actores en la puesta en escena.

Para resumir mis teorías y demases, no le creo nada al padre de Kinn pero estoy feliz que al menos Porsche y Porchay están vivos y juntos. Para mi que Korn quiere a Porsche como jefe de la segunda familia porque es más fácil de controlar que Vegas, quien tiene sus propios deseos y ambiciones. Muy sospechoso el hecho de que haya matado a su propio hermano antes de que pudiera terminar la frase respecto a la madre de los chicos,

Debo mencionar que me sorprendió la traición de Ken, pero tiene sentido cuando por twitter dijeron que era el único que también hablaba en inglés de vez en cuando. Perth te amo un montón pero que merecidísima esa paliza que le dieron a tu personaje. A pesar de que después lo hayan servido en bandeja, eso fue un montón me dio terrible asco pero excelente el maquillaje artístico.

Toda la parte desde que Pete decide renunciar a la familia principal para irse con Vegas hasta que va a buscarlo, lo encuentra y convence de que no se mate solo para que después alguien le dispare, merece una ovación de pie. No tengo sombrero pero me lo saco igual. Feliz de que mi amado Vegas no haya estirado la pata y de que Khun esté vivito y coleando.

PD: KIM QUE VERGA ES ESA MANERA DE PEIDR DISCULPAS CON UNA CANCIÓN. DEJATE DE INDISEADAS Y ANDÁ DE RODILLAS A PEDIRLE PERDÓN A CHAY.

PD2: Me dio mucha risa que Vegas es el personaje más moralmente gris de toda la serie, donde casi vi*la a Porsché, pero al final el más cancelado fue Kim porque todo LATAM decidió que Porschay era demasiado lindo como para que le rompan el corazón.

La mejor serie que he visto

La espera valió la pena. La historia difiere bastante del libro, pero creo que todos los cambios fueron muy favorables para el desarrollo de los personajes. Los actores hicieron un trabajo excelente, trabajaron muy duro por más de 1 año para interpretar a los personaje y cada uno de ellos fue espectacular. La calidad de esta serie no se compara con nada que haya visto antes en esta industria, la dirección y producción me dejaron sin palabras... La banda sonora es muy buena, con 5 canciones que nos robaron el corazón. Es una historia seria pero con momentos muy bien logrados de humor que liberan la tensión cuando es necesario.
Si hay una serie para recomendar es esta.

POR DIOS!! QUE CLASE DE PLACER CULPOSO ES ESTA MIERDA?!

Reseña KinnPorsche:

Puntuación: 7.0¿?

°Elenco/Actuación: La mayoría de actores en la serie estuvieron muy bien, sinceramente me sorprendió con la naturalidad que se desenvolvian, Bibble (Vegas) estaba interpretando su primer papel y fue muy bueno. Algunas veces cuando tenían que hablar en inglés se notaba algo forzado, como es el el caso de Kinn el cual dejaba que desear, aún así hicieron su mejor esfuerzo y se aprecia. Mi única queja real es porque eligieron a tan horrible actor con acento italiano? Sinceramente creo disfrute tanto su muerte porque sabía que jamás lo volvería a escuchar. El Cast es SUPER LINDO, gran parte de mi cariño culposo a esta serie es por ellos, eligieron muy bien a cada uno, lit me creo que físicamente el Sr. Korn es padre de Kinn y que Porsche y Porchay son hermanos y la dinámica fuera de la serie es muy piola, además de que EN MI OPINIÓN todas la parejas tenían tremenda química, fuera de joda, esto será muchas cosas, pero eligieron actores que con la tensión sexual que emanan tengas ganas de golpear una pared. En fin que buen elenco jsjj

°Música: Con la música tengo sentimientos encontrados, porque me parece de las mejores cosas de la serie, por dios, esa intro es MUY buena y como la introducen a forma de melodia transmite mucho, también la canción que canta Jeff (Kim) es cute. Aún así, me hubiera gustado que implementaran más soundtrack, siento que a veces se hacía algo repetitivo, o sino que a veces simplemente estaban teniendo una charla seria y empezaba ya la canción y era de "ke?". Pero en fin, fuera de eso, me gusto la música.

°Producción: A ver, esta serie está mejor grabada que mushisimas otras que he visto, se nota que le pusieron empeño y no les importo gastar en presupuesto, las paletas de colores en distintas escenas estaban dentro de todo bien implementadas y las escenas con drones eran buenas. En cuanto al menejo de la camara, en varias escenas estaba bien (Ej: En el Cap 1,cuando nos muestran el paralelismo entre Kinn y Porsche, En el cap 6, cuando enfocan que Kinn y Porsche quedaron tomaron de las manos después de encontrar agua, en el cap 11, cuando Vegas le da las pastilla en la boca a Pete, o en el cap 13, cuando le apuntan con un arma al Sr. Korn y después nos muestran que es Porsche), pero habian otras escenas como las de acción donde decía "PORQUE CARAJO SE MUEVE TANTO LA CÁMARA?" Entiendo que era para generar ansiedad y tensión, pero mi ansiedad se debía a que tenía que mirar para todos lados intentando ver que pasaba, agregando algo con las escenas de acción, varias estaban decentes, sin contar que la sangre o la forma en la morían era exagerado, menos a veces es más. Sobre las escenas hot, la mayoría están muy bien hechas, realmente lograban captar las ganas que se tenían los personajes, aunque la escena del cap 7 de Kinn-Porsche en el baño es rara, media fea en cierto punto, la escena de Vegas-Pete hubiera quedado mejor si mostraban un poco más de BDSM, ya que es un poco su esencia y sacaran un poco la música para mostrar más la crudeza de la situación, pero en sí la escena estuvo bien. Los momentos románticos los sentía naturales, siento que sea como sea la historia estaban bien retratados por lo general. También, me gusta que varios gestos de los personajes se mantiene a medida que pasan los capítulos.

°Historia: OK, la historia tiene muchas inconsistencias, sin contar que es muy floja, llega un punto en el que se olvidan que también es una serie de mafia y sólo vuelven al traer el tema cuando les conviene, sin contar de que lit me sentí en un montaña rusa, ya que empezó algo lento, luego fue volviéndose más interesante, luego interesante pero sin historia, luego de repente traen de vuelta el misterio y al final te quedas de "Ke?", hay muchas cosas que me gustaría que se hubieran profundizado más (Ej: La guerra entre la familia menor y la mayor, la convivencia de la familia menor individualmente, la relación de hermanos entre - Kinn-Takhun-Kim ya que literal Kim no está nunca con ellos, a personajes como Big o Ken, ya que fueron de cierto modo fundamentales para la trama, etc)de todos modos, aunque fuera de forma básica, fue agradable que me pusieran pequeñas pistas de algunas cosas y que después cobrarán sentido (Ej: En el cap 1, cuando el Sr. Korn dice "Ahora todas las piezas están juntas" o en el cap 6, cuando Porsche dice que su tío le contó lo del accidente de sus papas y más tarde el tío nos dice que el había mentido) . En cuanto a las relaciones hay que decir que son todas HIPER MEGA TÓXICAS, llegandose a romantizar el abuso sexual, secuestro, en cierto punto la violacion, el maltrato físico y sobre todo psicológico, algunas veces te ponían música o algún otro indicio como diciendo "Che, esto está mal" pero después siguen como si nada, sin ninguna consecuencia o pidiendo disculpas pero de una forma muy sosa. En cuestión de desarrollo en las relaciones: *Kinn y Porsche, empezaron algo apresurados, pero a pesar del vínculo super insano que llevaban, se ve progreso en su relación, pero MUY DE A POCO, ya que dioooos, lo que les cuesta a estos dos comunicarse y confiar en el otro, da ganas de pegarles, podrían haberse ahorrado muchas cosas, pero fuera de JODA¡¿ERA NECESARIO QUE KINN SE COJA A PORSCHE DROGADO?! Osea, se que en su mente no estaba "Lo voy a violar" pero le chupo un huevo su estado y aunque después pidiera disculpas no enfatizaron en lo horrible de la situación, *Vegas Y Pete, su historia pasó muy rápido, lo cual es lógico ya que los pusieron recién en los últimos 4 capítulos, aún así no se sintió forzado como esperaba, pero a ver, fuera de joda Pete fue SECUESTRADO, Vegas lo maltrato mucho y Pete lo dejó pasar bastante fácil, aunque al menos acá nos hacían más énfasis en que estaba mal y Vegas debía cambiar para estar con Pete, pero igual Wtf, ese diálogo de Pete al renunciar, lo cual fue muy random por cierto y decirlo a Vegas "Yo era tu mascota" yo estaba de "PETE SOS IDIOTA?", aún así debo admitir que su química era increíble al igual que la de los protagonistas, Por último *Kim y Porchay, lo de ellos quedó MUY inconcluso, al principio lo de ellos se veía lo más sano a pesar de que literal Kim lo utilizaba para sacarle información, pero despues Kim y la caga y sinceramente espero que realmente se esfuerce por recuperar a Porchay, aunque acá todos hacen y perdonan como si nadaaa, pero en fin. En cuanto a desarrollo de personajes, esperaba algo mucho peor, Kinn es una mierda, y me desespero tanto cuando lo hicieron quedar como tonto al olvidarse de Pete y creer que estaba bien, pero aunque no parezca aprendió COSAS, que de seguro en la 2da temporada se le van a olvidar pero en fin, Porsche es HERMOSO, pero si cierro los ojos hay que admitir que el desarrollo de su personaje no fue el mejor, pero aunque era más sumiso de que me gustaría admitir me gustaba que dentro de todo le cerraba el orto a Kinn y le hacía ver cuando estaba mal, aunque había otras veces en las que era tremendo hipócrita porque le decía a Kinn que confíe en el y cuando es su turno decide confiar en VEGAS sabiendo todo lo que hizo y no en su puto novio, pero en fin, para ser de los típicos personajes "Estoy con el bad boy" me cayó bien, Takhun es un GENIO y el si me cayo mejor de lo que esperaba, Pete es mas interesante de lo que aparenta y ojala supieramos mas de el, aunque repito que la caga que se fuera con Vegas refiriéndose a su mismo como "Mascota", Vegas es alguien que desde el príncipio nos lo presentaron como un mierda, aunque eso no le quita las forradas que hizo, sin contar de que al final iba a matar a Porsche y como que simplemente lo dejaron pasar, básicamente le dejaron pasar todo y yo como de "Ke?", si, su personaje es interesante y de los que más me intriga pero no puedo sentir empatia completa por el aún, el Sr. Korn y el Sr. Gun tienen MUCHO para contar y tranquilamente podrían haberles dedicado algún capitulo, pero no, me lo ignoraron completamente, las muertes de Big y del asienstente del Sr. Korn también fueron totalmente ignoradas y me enojo mucho, la dinámica de los guardaespaldas me gustaba mucho y la amistad Pete-Porsche se me hacía muy linda y ojalá hubiera visto más, entre muchos otros personajes a los cuales odie-quise. La comedia no era mala, habían varios momentos en los que no espere reírme, varios protagonizados por Takhun, aunque también a veces no era para nada momento de implementarla y quedaba mal, ya que es una serie de mafia. El misterio siento que fue de las mejores cosas, ya que realmente quería saber que le había pasado a los padres de Porsche y aun estoy algo perdida al respecto, lo cual es obvio ya que deberán seguirlo en la próxima temporada. El fina fue rápido, no malo, solo que podrían haber cerrado de mejor manera las cosas y hacer que se entiendan mejor, ya que muchos personajes simplemente pareciera que sabían que estaban dentro de una serie y era hora de olvidarse de todo lo que pasó y yo como de "Wtf porque nadie hace nd acerca de esto?! " a Vegas lit le mataron al padre y fue como de "Bueno, que sad", sin contar de que su hacen una segunda temporada más vale que me profundicen en el personaje de la madre y no me lo dejen de la nada, porque pueden sacar algo muy interesante de ahí, pero en fin. A pesar de todo, no puedo creer lo ENTRETENIDO que era esto, en serio, toda la semana me dajaban pensando que iba a pasar, aunque lit fuera una trama inexistente te ponían 80 cosas en un capítulo, por lo que se me pasaba volando y quería que sea ya sábado y ver el que seguía, super triste.

La volvía a ver: SI, PERDÓN.

Colclusión: Es una serie de mierda, osea, la mayoría debe saber a que se está metiendo, así que solo tenes que apagar tu cerebro y observar, además yo la veía con mi hermana y una amiga y realmente nos cagamos de risa viéndola, es literal un fanfic de Wattpad hiper mega cliché hecho serie. Esto es realmente un placer culposo, es tan horrible pero tan adictivo, tan vacío pero con tanto por contar, con relaciones horribles pero escenas que sinceramente me hicieron emocionar, aunque después quisiera golpearlos. Es malo, MUY malo, pero la pase increíblemente bien mirando esto por lo que SI, obviamente estoy a la espera de su 2da temporada porque increíblemente les tome más cariño a estos forros de lo que pensaba.

PD: El Capítulo 6 es lo mejor que le pasó a la serie por lejos y sin ese capítulo mi opinión sería mucho más baja.

Resultó ser diferente a lo que esperaba. Sí, hay acción, violencia, escenas acaloradas y situaciones moralmente cuestionables, pero también tiene mucha comedia y romance.

Fue una experiencia entretenida seguir la historia semana a semana. No considero que sea perfecta, hubo cosas que no me gustaron, momentos que me aburrían y personajes que no podían importarme menos, pero la disfruté.

Además, estoy bastante satisfecha con la estética visual, el OST, las actuación y la química entre todo el elenco.

Si hacen una segunda temporada, definitivamente la veré.

Resumen

Después de ver por completo esta serie puedo finalmente dar una opinión detallada de lo que me ha parecido.

ACTUACIÓN

Lo primero a destacar es la actuación, la cual fue excelente. En ningún momento sentí vergüenza ajena al ver la escenas (ya sean de acción, románticas, cómicas, trágicas, entre otras)
Los actores me transmitieron sus emociones: tristeza, alegría, emoción, suspenso, tensión, rabia, traición, enfado, arrepentimiento, desconfianza, amor, deseo, protección... Podría pasarme todo el dia diciendo las distintas, y tan variadas, emociones que expresaron de manera sobresaliente. En resumen, las actuaciones de las parejas: KinnPorsche, VegasPete y KimChay fueron excelentes, lograron transmitirme sus sentimientos (cada una a su manera, aunque alguna que otra pareja no termine de convencerme).
Solo puedo aplaudir a Mile, Apo, Bible, Build, Barcode, Jeff y a los actores secundarios por semejante actuación.

PAREJAS Y ESCENAS ROMÁNTICAS

Cada pareja vivió un romance distinto por eso prefiero hablar y explicar cada una de manera individual:

"KINNPORSCHE":
Su romance no empezó de la mejor manera, pero con el paso de los capítulos fueron evolucionando conjuntamente.
-En los primeros capítulos vemos la rivalidad que tienen Kinn y Porsche. Hay mucha tensión entre ellos, se nota en el aire, en las miradas de Kinn y de Porsche, se desean pero al mismo tiempo no se soportan. Con el tiempo se empiezan a interesar el uno por el otro, parecen polos opuestos que no pueden evitar su atracción.
-En los capítulos intermedios de la serie vemos como esa atracción da paso a un sentimiento más complejo, el amor. Con el tiempo y las situaciones que van viviendo, se enamoran profundamente uno del otro, pero hay un enemigo que se interpone entre ellos, la desconfianza. Los dos han pasado por momentos difíciles y dolorosos, esto termina afectando a su relación, se aman pero les cuesta confiar plenamente y ciegamente el uno en el otro. Eso provoca peleas y celos.
-Finalmente vienen los últimos capítulos donde vemos como poco a poco resuelven esa desconfianza, son como uña y carne. Se entienden entre ellos y confían en las desiciones del otro, se protegen mutuamente.
-Su romance es intenso, no pueden saciar el hambre mutuo que sienten. Se besan con desesperación y anhelo, a veces se besan de manera suave y tierna, y otras con adoración y respeto.
-Las escenas de cama que hay entre ellos son excelentes, cada una expresaba emociones distintas (lujuria, arrepentimiento, perdón, pasión, amor, tristeza, desesperación...) Los actores (Mile y Apo) tienen mucha química e hicieron que sintiera mariposas en el estómago al verlos juntos, fueron sin lugar a duda la mejor interpretación de Kinn y Porsche, me es imposible ver a otros actores interpretando a estos personajes.

---En resumen, Kinnporsche con el paso de los capítulos ha desarrollado y fortalecido su relación. Pasan de ser un guardaespaldas y su jefe a ser amantes y compañeros de crimen, se pertenecen mutuamente y nada los puede separar. También he de añadir que es mi pareja favorita porque su relación evoluciona gradualmente, en los primeros capítulos son enemigos que se atraen, en los siguientes son amantes que no confían plenamente el uno del otro y finalmente parecen una pareja casada a la cual, ni viento ni marea, puede separar.

"VEGASPETE":
Su relación es realmente compleja, si bien Kinn y Porsche no empezaron bien, Vegas y Pete empezaron el triple de mal.
-En sus primeros capítulos, vemos un odio profundo entre Vegas y Pete. Son rivales, Pete es guardaespaldas de la primera familia y Vegas es hijo del jefe de la segunda familia. Su relación empieza con Vegas secuestrando a Pete y torturándolo de manera física y psicológica.
-En los siguientes capítulos vemos un poco más de su desarrollo como pareja, Pete ve como Vegas es maltratado y presionado por su padre, siempre lo compara con Kinn y no para de decirle lo fracasado que es por nunca poder ganarle. Esto crea sentimientos de odio y rencor en Vegas en contra de Kinn, Pete ve esta situación y simpatiza con Vegas ya que él de pequeño también sufrió abuso físico por parte de su padre. De alguna manera Pete se empieza a sentir atraído por Vegas, y parece ser que es mutuo. Pero su lealtad y amor propio son más fuertes que esta atracción reciente y decide huir de las cadenas de Vegas.
-En los últimos capítulos vemos como la lealtad que tiene Pete con la primera familia empieza a cambiar, el amor que siente por Vegas parece estar al nivel de su lealtad. Finalmente gana el amor que siente por Vegas y decide retirarse de su puesto como guardaespaldas de la primera familia.
-No sé como sentirme respecto a esta pareja, me gustan pero no me encantan. Me hacen sentir sentimientos encontrados, en el principio de su relación solo hay odio, luego empieza a haber lujuria y deseo, y de repente hay amor... No termino de entender cuando se enamoran, si entiendo el deseo que sienten fisicamente el uno por el otro pero el amor es mucho mas complejo que eso. No me malentiendan, me gusta el VegasPete pero no encuentro la correlación de los sentimientos que acontecen a Vegas y Pete. ¿Cuándo empieza el amor?, ¿Realmente es amor, o solo es dependencia escondida debajo de esta palabra?
-Su única escena de cama me parece bien llevada a cabo pero he de admitir que no pude verla más de dos veces, la actuación de Bible y Build fue sobresaliente pero esa escena en concreto me produce miedo. La música que se escucha en esta escena me produce escalofríos, como si algo no estuviera bien. Y efectivamente nada está bien, no estan haciendo el amor estan compartiendo un momento erótico y lleno de lujuria. Igual por eso esta pareja no me termina de cuadrar, me gusta el romance y aquí no pude encontrarlo.


---En resumen, VegasPete no me termina de convencer. Me gusta porque es algo nuevo e innovador, pero siento que faltaron más escenas que mostraran el momento en el que se enamoran. Solo veo dependencia en esta pareja, aunque luego me pongo a pensar en como empezaron y entiendo la dinámica que llevan pero no es de mi agrado.

"KIMCHAY":
De esta pareja no se que decir, aparecieron de manera esporádica, me parece excelente la actuación de Jeff y Barcode pero el KimChay no hay por donde pillarlo. No terminé de entender el núcleo de la pareja, en un principio todo iba bien y luego todo iba mal. Porchay se entera que Kim es mafioso y todo va en declive. No saben comunicarse o mejor dicho no les interesa resolver sus problemas, por un lado Porchay ama a Kim y se lo dice pero Kim no responde a su cariño, lo aparta.
Entiendo que Kim desea proteger a Porchay, lo ama pero no puede estar con él y además se arrepiente de haberse acercado a él con intenciones ocultas. Pero me dejaron mal sabor de boca, en un momento sentí que su relación no funcionaba, no había comunicación entre ellos.


---En resumen, KimChay no lo terminé de entender, no me desagrada la pareja al contrario me parece refrescante porque es la pareja juvenil, por así decirlo, pero me dejaron descolocada con sus problemas y su falta de comunicación. Igual es que tuvieron pocas escenas y no se pudo llevar a cabo toda su relación, como sucede con el VegasPete.

LO QUE NO ME GUSTÓ

No todo podia ser color de rosas, y por eso mi nota es un 9. Actuación magnífica, escenarios alucinantes, música magistral... Pero la edición de algunas escenas me confunde enormemente. Había saltos abruptos entre las parejas, por ejemplo: En un momento estamos viendo VegasPete sufriendo y de repente aparece KinnPorsche feliz. No había un translado de escena a escena, a veces me era difícil seguir el hilo. Porque pasaba de estar triste a feliz, feliz a triste, triste a enojada... No había descanso con tanto cambio de emociones, necesito algún tipo de transmisión, un plano, un silencio prolongado, lo que sea pero no cambios de escenas abruptos. La edición fue el único fallo que puedo sacar a relucir, todo lo demás es un 100000 de 10.

When it was great, it was great. When it was bad, it was reallllly bad.

How to start this?

Was I disappointed? Yes.

To be fair, the crazy amount of teasing and build-up kind of set my expectations ridiculously high.

This drama is a mess. It starts out fucking epic. I got Night Manager vibes, which was a great sign. Then, I think after episode 7, it started to lose itself. There were still some great scenes with good dialogue, interesting symbolism, cool fight scenes, amazing cinematography, and fantastic acting. But, they weren't the majority.

Obvious Problems:
#1. Let's be honest here, the third couple was unnecessary. Screentime devoted to them could have been put to better use.
#2. Unnecessary connections. Not every character needs a thread from their past connecting them to everyone!
#3. Once the main couple got together they both got really stupid, fast. Lol.

Other Problems:
#1. While this was more comedic than serious the comedy was still a bit much at times.
#2. The story should have been more focused on the mafia aspect. Sometimes it felt like a side story.
#3. The finale seemed to throw everything at the wall. Will I get over the shorts? No, I will not!

Saving Graces:
#1. Vegas. Vegas, Vegas, Vegas. He ate up every scene. The visceralness of him was on another level. He made me conflicted, which is what some of the best characters do. One moment he was clearly the bad guy, the next he was a shivering puppy, and then he was a mix of everything. Bible . . . Just . . . Wow.
#2. Pete. God, the emotions he made me feel. He deserved so much more screentime.
#3. Vegas and Pete. They made me want to skip scenes with Kinn and Porsche. THEY MADE ME WANT TO SKIP SCENES WITH KINN AND PORSCHE! Also, they made me write a poem.
#4. Tankhun. Iconic! He is THE moment!

What it was, what it could've been...

When KinnPorsche was announced, Trapped was nearly the only action BL you could refer to. This appeared to be even darker & grittier, so it was instant anticipation for me. Fast forward to 2021, the promotion of KP begins and they’re really pushing its mafia themes. So when the drama finally airs and there are shootouts, fighting and killing; I think to myself "This is my kind of thing. Why don’t I feel immersed in this world of crime?". Well… because the world building in this series is slim to none. The way Porsche falls asleep during his orientation and gets thrown into his bodyguard duties with no knowledge of the organization, sums up how I felt as a viewer. lol

After awhile, it sinks in that the mafia themes are mostly superficial and the screenwriter's portrayal of organized crime doesn't get much deeper than men in suits carrying guns and having meetings. After 14 episodes, I’m left with a very vague understanding of what dealings/activities Kinn’s family actually takes part in. The writer relies so heavily on the viewer’s general knowledge of mafia culture that there’s barely a build-up or explanation for anything that occurs. At one point they have to defend their territory from a rival gang and I could only wonder what that “territory” was. Do they control all of Bangkok? Some of it? Is it even Bangkok? And what do they do within this territory? Drugs? Prostitution? Money laundering? There’s not enough to go on, but I could sense the writer telling me “it’s mafia stuff, just go with it”.

Eventually the series does reach a point where it feels like events are properly built up and connected to an overarching story- towards the end. When the mafia stuff is put aside and it focuses on the death of Porsche’s parents. This is also around the time Vegas and Pete offer us the unconventional romance and fatal attraction that was surprisingly missing from the main couple. They weren’t perfectly executed, but done well enough to steal my attention from the main plot.

In conclusion: I enjoyed the characters, their wild & funny interactions, the no-holds-barred expression of sexuality, and the badass action sequences. But story-wise, I'm perpetually torn between liking this as a BL, and being disappointed that it's a hollow shell of a crime drama.

IT'S A GOOD SERIES, NOT PERFECT BUT ACCEPTABLE

This is one review that I have absolutely looked forward to writing, I mean I have read the novel and they have been teasing us with this show for two years, so how could I not be looking forward to this. But my reviews have eight areas:

Introduction
You do not know how long we have waited for more adult themed BLs something happening outside just a university something more intense and that's KinnPorsche. I mean this show makes a lot of promises and so far, it has delivered so well on most promises, they promised to be different, the series promised to be interesting, it promised to be great, and I mean it is giving me a lot of the things I want in a series. it is making me laugh, it is making me happy, it is making me feel towards the character, it is just giving me joy, it has also disappointed and failed in others, but it is all fine. Of course, the theme of this series is a mafia family, but more specifically the son of the mafia and a person that becomes his bodyguard right and the love that kind of develops there. it is easy going it is funny without necessarily losing its seriousness, it has great production, its budget is obviously present because everything is so top notch. so, I absolutely love this.
Now, I won't lie and say this BL is a 100% in all areas because there are certain places where you genuinely need to put your logic aside to appreciate it but on an overall, I give it a pass because of what the series does in so many other areas and what is successfully achieves.

General Review
OK on general this series is beautiful
1. I love how lighthearted this series can be, but at the same time it does not take away from the overall seriousness and danger that is each character faces. we see that it's definitely going to handle very serious issues for example Porsche and Che family story, the things that have messed up Khun and Kim, and so many other societal issues that are very important to address but at the same time they give me comedy they make me laugh, which I think is one of the best things that is series can do because while it's important to have those moments of serious discussions those moments of going into real issues, it's also important for the viewer to get moments of Comic Relief.

2. I also think another thing that is important is the idea that it shows that even though you are born into the mafia you are not born without a heart when you leave in a condition long enough you get desensitized to it. Were Kinn and Vegas the perfect men? HELL NO, if anything Vegas deserves therapy and jail, and Kinn deserves a year or two in prison as well for his actions because a bad environment doesn't excuse the shitty actions that have been done, it just makes me understand the perspective from which the character is coming from and I must say that Kinn and Vegas are fighters. I respect Kinn because of the pressures he must face to survive in the mafia but somehow Vegas' story really made me feel bad for him in episode 12 and 13, and this is coming from me, a person who disliked Vegas as a character.


3. Observable Themes and Issues that can be picked from the series.

ABUSE - This is such an ever-present topic in this series and I know our fandom loves to justify the existence with the fact that it's a mafia series but what most people don't tend to understand or appreciate is that, we can accept the presence of it in the series while acknowledging that it is a form of abuse which in regular society should not exist.
Meaning = In the series, it is all right, in real life, it is unbelievably bad
But presence of abuse we see, Kinn and Porsche first time together, no matter how much we want to use the fact that he resisted Vegas and accepted Kinn, it doesn't change the fact that morally it was wrong for Kinn to take advantage of Porsche and we saw the clear after effects on Porsche and Kinn accepting several times after it was wrong. Another form of abuse is obviously Kan and Vegas asides physical abuse, we have the emotional abuse, it was so deep and psychological and Vegas always saw it as regular and this speaks volumes about how so many victims of abuse don't see anything wrong with the abuse they suffer (Note: I won't lie I was happy every time Kan slapped Vegas, it was like Kan was manifesting all the slaps I wish I could give Vegas for what he did to Pete amongst others).
Obviously, there was Vegas torture of Pete which I just absolutely hated; I will not write any further on that.

a. Social Pressures and Mental Health: Mental Health is a theme that stood out to me in this series from Vegas and Kinn and the specific set of social pressures that they faced especially with regards to the families they were born into. On Vegas' side we see what it is like to have, not just a physically abusive parent but a parent who constantly and consistently degrades their child, we see the inferiority complex that Vegas' suffers from and it is so bad and crippling that it puts him in constant with the main family trying to prove himself and worth. On Kinn's side we see the cost of having to give up your dreams and having to live a life you would rather not, I mean overall Kinn is one depressed guy without realizing it. So, I love that about the novel and series, how they can acknowledge these aspects of their characters making them that much more complex.

b. Getting married to the wrong person: Now, not a lot of people would have picked up on this but from Kan's character and his hostility to his Kids and the way he always insults Vegas, this is why you always make sure you don't end up with the wrong person, for your sake and the sake of your kids, so your parents don't get stuck with a shitty life because their parents couldn't use their head to think and just avoid getting married. Now where Kan was in love with Nampueng, to the extent he could kill someone else for her, he had no business being married to someone else and it reflects in how badly he treats Macau and Vegas.

c. Manipulation and playing with people's feelings: I intentionally did not say led on, because I feel Chay was not led by Kim, but he was manipulated. I hated how much their entire relationship was premised on what Kim needed, like it was really when Kim needed something and, on his terms, and we see the impact it has on Chay after the fact, like it is reflective of what happens with so many persons in reality especially dealing with someone who is emotionally vulnerable. Kim as a character just rubbed me wrong.

d. Value of relationships: Now this was something that particularly stood out to me in one place, I love Porsche but he was not the best brother or friend in certain instances, I mean I wasn't expecting him to be a hundred percent in all angles but there are places where I felt kind of disappointed in his decisions. An example of this was his agreement to bring Pete within Vegas' axis, I mean if he says he knows Vegas did what he did, there is absolutely nothing that would make me bring you into proximity of my friend. This action is paralleled against Pete willing to sacrifice himself to prove Porsche's innocence, I mean it just showed me a difference in valuation of their relationship. This is sadly representative of the reality of life that often people do not appreciate or value things as well as they should.

Any ways, I should end this segment here, so I am not going on and on


Story Arcs
All right so one of the story arcs we have here obviously is the story up of Kinn and Porsche falling in love, which is the main storyline, I think we will also have all trials and tribulations that they would have to face but we have several that are explored:

1. Kinn learning to love and be loved again after being previously hurt
2. Porsche experiencing a relationship that was all consuming
3. Vegas learning how love himself and also how to love and appreciate others as well (the only thing that bothers me in this story arc was the fact I am worried that Vegas might still not have a true sense of self-worth that is tied to his own independent value i.e. his value is lowkey reliant on Pete, hence his desperation for Pete, it's almost a miserable existence, so I don't know if the self-love aspect of this was fully executed well especially if the end goal was for Vegas to discover a new sense of identity. But I must note that because this is not the end of the series, they have said there would)
4. Pete's story arc covered how we can be broken, have our smile and light taken away from us, when we go to the lowest of the low and how often we do not deal with that so well especially after Vegas abused him.
5. Kim had no arc
6. Chay's arc was more of the naive first love, first crush and first heartbreak and how devastating those often tend to be for us.

Now for the storyline and Pacing of the storyline, there were places that I feel like they could have done better. An example is VegasPete storyline, in as much as I did not like VegasPete as a couple or the story arc I knew that would come with them, I feel if they were introduced earlier in the series i.e. an episode 8 instead of an episode 10, their relationship development in this season may have been more substantive. Another thing I was not a fan of in the story was how easy Porsche's character was made and it was such a diversion from how he was earlier introduced. They tried to manage way too many stories and it became a problem for them
But on an overall, I would give them praise for their handling of most parts of the storyline


Characters and Casting

Kinn, the Playboy mafia who surprisingly is openly gay, he has always been serious, he knows he going to inherit the family, so he has never had the time for excessive play. what is the same time we see a level of softness to him, and this is best portrayed by some of his reactions to Porsche? this better portrayed with how he first told his father and brother he loves Porsche as well as the entirety of episode eight. Now Kinn as a character is not the greatest, he is flawed, flawed in fact but what makes it eventually better is that he recognizes this, accepts it, and strives to be better in most instances. So, while I am not saying all his actions can be excused but I think as a character he is acceptable. Also casting Mile as Kinn somehow feels perfect, he embodies the essence of Kinn which was vital to the overall cohesiveness of the character

Porsche is an absolute idiot with zero survival skills or zero survival instincts, like a lot of times I worry for him, I am just like boy shut up. he is such a comedic relief and such a wild character; I absolutely love his character I mean. I think behind all the wildness we see this side of Porsche, where he must put on this happy face so hide all this stress and trauma that he has been through, and we get the first candid of his character when he is drunk with Kinn. When he admits to the struggles both having to care for himself and his brother this gives this level of understanding to why he acts the way he does, he has had to be a parent from when he was young. So, I absolutely love Porsche, Porsche is simple and forgiving, he cares deeply for those he cares for, even though he does not always make the best choice. Apo's casting was also good because he is just as wild as Porsche

Tankhun, our resident fashion icon and psychopath. I mean even in the novel I loved Tankhun but in the series is a breath of fresh air, I love how much he adds to a scene, he is easily my favorite character. Tankhun is the smartest Theerapanyakul brother, he is always so spot on in his analysis, that I am convinced he pretends to be insane to avoid duties. Tongs casting as Tankhun was fine because her embodied the character well

Pete as a character was also another beautiful character I loved, because of how foolish he could be and his beautiful smile and his impressive heart. I mean how this man legit believed Porsche was blocking punches with his neck has me worried, but I chose to interpret that as Pete's pureness, also he just had a really beautiful smile and his willingness to go into minor territory family just to prove Porsche was innocent of being the mole is everything you need to know of Pete as a character. Honestly seeing him break down after the abuse suffered afterwards absolutely broke my heart. On the casting of Pete, Build was a wonderful choice irrespective of all the baggage he came with. I am your Pet turned me off

Vegas as a character was a lot, but I must say, his English always made me question my life and morals potentially, because I know I hated this man but somehow every time he spoke English, my brain went back to factory settings, nah Bible as Vegas was near perfect but honestly Vegas the character was a vile and flawed, he gave me the creeps, which speaks volumes to Bible's casting. Perfect ending with Pete and Macau

I was originally skeptical of Barcode as Chay, but I must say that he did a fantastic job in embodying what Chay was meant to be, young, naive and in love. I absolutely loved when he blocked Kim

Kim, we do not talk about Kim in this house.


Acting
Acting was great on an overall bases, Apo did well in carrying the complex emotions of Porsche and Bible did exceptionally well as Vegas, personally they were the best actors of the series, I might rank Bible slightly higher than Apo but its close. Barcode as Chay was really good as well, especially where he broke down after Kim left him, also Kinn was good as well, I wouldn't say as good as Apo and Bible but the entire bathroom scene (I am not talking about the sex), but the part when he came in angry and smacked Vegas and shouted, I had chills, also his apologies always felt sincere, so there was that.

Misses
While I won't go on listing a ton of misses, one that particularly got to me was what they did with Porsche's character in specific aspects of his development, it's almost like they forgot that they gave him some traits, on an overall it didn't reduce from the character's purpose but it sure gave me a frown in certain places, an example being how easy he gave into Kinn, I was like at least give him a spine. Anyways here are other misses

1. What was the point of Kim's entire investigation? Like they made the investigation to be this huge thing that we should all be intrigued about and yes, for sure they piqued my interest. I was interested in what was going to happen. What would he discover? How would he use that information in the series to affect the dynamics of character interactions, when would he unveil the information? So many expectations from that arena and it just fell flat. Like he found out his father covered up Nampueng and her husband's death and he did nothing with it, he just went back to regular programing. Like what was the purpose of the investigation then? Why the stress over it?

2. Kinn and Porsche relationship/Tawan's return - The idea that KinnPorsche was the healthiest relationship in the series bothers me because they have three key issues; a. their communication is absolute shit, b. the trust is absolute nonsense, c. the starts of everything and this reflects in the Tawan situation. One thing I never understood is why no one ever questioned why and how Tawan was still alive, like he said he has been hiding with the Italians, but like everyone just accepted that he was alive like it was just another business day. which eventually of things, it does not really affect the series, but it was just a miss for me

3. None of their relationships were particularly the healthiest especially how they began. I mean overall of things; I know we like to say this is the mafia and all the other excuses that allows us to shove down our morals and principles while trying to enjoy some media content. But one thing that I did not particularly fancy in this series is the fact that none of their relationships started properly on healthy basis, we had the borderline rape/sexual assault of Kinn (note: I said borderline because legally in Thailand, it is not rape or sexual assault apparently), we had the very abusive abduction of Pete by Vegas and we have Kim lying to and manipulating Chay for his own purposes. Like none of these are particularly healthy and the idea that the storyline always had them falling in love with their abuser, I mean I understand this is meant to be a Mafia fic but honestly there are still somethings that are not so easy to stomach, this was one of those situations.

4. I did not like the Big and Ken endings, because it made no sense, like they did not even try to give a proper motivation for why Ken would betray the main family, just expected the viewer to accept it as given.

5. The explosion budget, LMAO, I was like, did they run out of budget in episode ten?

Production
I do not think I need to say a lot on production, but I will, the budget of this and the dedication of crews to produce a good show was beautiful, watching the behind the scenes and all the effort put in was great. Another thing I loved was the cinematographic shots, like they had angles and views in this production, I am absolutely impressed (but there was episode ten and their explosions, hahaha)

Oh, I would rewatch this, it is a good drama and a breath of fresh air in the BL industry

my opinion changed

my opinion changed everything about this show was good up to ep 7 any scenes with vegaspete boring yawn last 2 ish eps picked up got slightly better acting was great except for petes character

in my opinion kinnporsche is the best bl that has been made it surpasses every bl ive watched from the acting to the visuals the music everything it's so perfect. they had the best people on this drama from the cast to the crew. vegas defenders/apologists close ur eyes when u read this. <3
(what I liked/praise for the series)

the fact that this is a lot of the actors first acting job amazes me ive never would have guessed it but then again it did take almost 2 years to come out so it did give them a shit load of time to do workshops. the chemistry between all actors is amazing the writing is amazing but the plot felt weak half way. the cinematography is beautiful which is no surprise as they were also the cinematographer for, I told sunset about you which is another beautiful coming of age bl. the best actors in this series for me have to be mileapo they hold so much emotion even in the smallest of glances their acting is so natural. bible is such a great actor no doubt in my mind if an actor can make you dislike a character, they are doing a great job. builds acting needs to improve. As for the rest they did great as well but these actors performances stood out to me more.

When it came to the main couple I never got tired of them a lot of ppl found them boring once they settled for each other but personally they were adorable and had the best chemistry out of all couples. Their love and kiss scenes were so beautifully done the amount of passion and love that came from that. Porsche and kinn come from 2 different environments and I think it's important to understand kinn's pov on what caring means to him and how its very different to what it means for porsche even though they are the opposites of each other they balance each other out perfectly. In the end they trusted and supported each other they had a messy and complicated relationship and was great seeing them continuing to mature together .kinn is an example of character growth when it came to this series. Their relationship wasnt rushed also please watch the side story after ep 6 it helps to understand the shift of the relationship

also the little details in the show if u pay attention to the background you can always find them doing small tiny gestures example would be porsche covering chays eyes when the body bag is passing them and u have to look closely to see this happen.
music is a 10/10 the actors can actually sing ( praise the lord). free fall by slot machine is added to best intro songs the english version being about porsche and the thai version being about kinn im not going to get into the meaning but if you look at the lyrics for each you would understand. jeff sounds like an angel anytime why dont you stay came on i had to prepare myself for every emotion i was about to feel when watching the scene.

what i disliked vegas

i didnt like him with a blazing passion. sorry not sorry. i will not be moving on from the fact he had zero growth ppl moved on from the fact he tried to sa porsche more than once it wasnt addressed at all the fact porsche never found out aswell. the fact hes the reason that led porsche to being raped . he had no growth and daddy issues doesnt excuse his behaviour. i feel like why a lot of people like him is because of bible thats what happens when u get a hot actor to play a shitty character. but i will say vegas here and the vegas we get in the book i accept the vegas we get in the show more.

the plot was near to nothing and very confusing i understand it now but i still have a lot of unanswered questions that could be resolved if we actually get a 2nd season. but once i read people explaining the plot the more i understood you kinda need to overanalyze to understand. the plot appeared to disappear it was like that when it got to the middle it started off strong got weak in the middle and then ended strong. kimchay not getting their happy ending made me upset. i wanted a bit more mafia. honestly if they stayed true to the novel we all would of hated this drama. thats a given fact especially after the special chapter that was released. korn killing vegas dad after he was about to spill the truth if we dont get a season 2 we will never find out what it was. wasnt the biggest fan of vegaspete thats all im going to say or ill get jumped.

beware this is a mafia 21+ rated bl with 18+ rated scenes meaning there is a lot of sex and so on. one thing i loved that they did was that they didnt gloss over the fact that porsche was taken advantage of and showed the struggles he went through in ep 5. please dont drop this show if ep4 is a concern for you because we were warned about this exact thing we were told it was going to hold a lot of scenes that can trigger people so just do your research before you watch it. also again watch the side story after ep 6

this show has become one my favourites it has set the standard of what theses shows can do im excited to see if anything can top it. people who will binge this will have a better experience then those who watched week by week. 7 day wait wasnt fun
overall kinnporsche is such a roller-coaster bl u will experience all types of emotions and u will be let down in some cases but its well worth it this show is very re-watchable. i was happy to be apart of the 15 weeks(a week was skipped) this aired and i will miss this show so much
this review is messy still but im too lazy to become Shakespeare and write some groundbreaking review.

Drama with Trigger warnings ⚠️

It is a boss- employee romance.
But let me warn you for the process of romance development.
The mafia boss, Kinn was already feeling something for his bodyguard, Porsche and so when one day his bodyguard gets kidnapped and he finds him at an unconscious state(he was drugged) with bite marks all over his body(attempt of rape) while trying to take care of him, he gets uncontrollable and fucks him, well RAPE him.
And their love develops from this point.
I mean, are you kidding me?! How can some one fall in love with their rapist???? And how can it be normal?

I watched the drama 1st and then read the book, the book is worse. English translated book 1 is what I read, and almost every sex between Kinn and Porsche was forced. Kinn forcing Porsche, and it is supposed to be romantic?!
