The only reason to watch this is for Park Shin Hye & joo Sang Wook...

Story- Your average family drama. It wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be. The plot was very good but there were too many episodes. It really doesnt start to get good till 15 episodes in. The ending was welcomed although the way they wrote the romance between Lee Min Jung's character and the second brother was a little rushed so thier ending was kind of like "Say what?" Thier characters were underused and their romance could have filled up more space and made the story more interesting.

Acting/Cast- Very good acting by the main characters of course but I did find thier pairing a bit strange. I mean JSW is more than 10 yrs older than PSH. The supporting cast all filled their roles well. As I said though LMJ was quite underused and I thought her character was cute/funny.

Music- Average OST; nothing memorable but fit the scenes well.

Rewatch- Its rewatchable but because the story is so average I'm not sure Id watch this again or not.

Overall Kimcheed Radishes is very good but would have been much more enjoyable if cut by 14 episodes. Id say watch for the leads.

I watched this drama mainly to see Joo Sang Wook after coming off watching Cunning Single Lady. This is an older drama and his acting isn't nearly as good as CSL, although it could be partly due to the character he is portraying. He almost looked like a different actor and was more wooden in his delivery. This was the first drama I've seen Park Shin Hye in and she was very cute. This is a family drama, so there are a LOT of episodes. While it does get laggy in places due to length, I did watch every episode and enjoyed all the side characters stories as well as the main storyline. The actors did a good job for the most part and I think that is what made this drama watchable.
The big secret is what drives the plot along, but there are some secondary plots and romance that help round it all out. I probably would not watch again, but mainly for the length and age of the drama.

There are a lot of standard K-drama tropes in this one, however, Kimcheed Radish Cubes has one of the best surprise twists at the end of any drama I've ever watched. And that alone makes it worth watching at least once. The story is well written and keeps you engaged mostly. There are a few places that could have been edited out. There's not really a need to use 2 or 3 minutes or more to show someone walking around thinking. The acting is a bit better than average with a great cast of veterans in supporting roles like the mothers, fathers, and grandparents. I didn't really expect much from Park Shin Hye since this was one of her first starring roles, but about halfway through she really shows the potential that has turned her in to an A-list star latter on. I was disappointed with Joo Sang Wook's performance though. It was way too stiff and robotic for most of the drama. The best acting in this drama goes to Na Moon Hee who easily played the most annoying grandma ever, and Bang Joon Seo for playing the best little scene stealer ever (3yr old daughter). I wouldn't really watch this a 2nd time but I do suggest watching it if your a Park Shin Hye or fan of family dramas.

If only....

Decent family drama with a big cast and a handful of varied stories, or that's what we were promised from watching the first few episodes! It started off great but it ended up over promising and under delivering. Almost every single story was neglected or ended up being under developed after 10-15 episodes, except two stories. Sa Ya's story and the eldest son Dong Jin's story, the latter one was terrible and boring. If you are excited to see Lee Min Jung then don't, she got ripped off of screen-time and was barely seen later on. From a first glance, there was a lot to like about the drama but it really ended up being disappointing.
