The same screenwriters worked on both shows and it's pretty obvious. Both shows have simple premises that are cleverly written.

Both are fantasy dramas about parallel worlds and characters from one world crossing over into the other.

Both Time travelling and transporting/moving into a different world has always been a intriguing topic for me. We can already see the chemistry between the leads even though it hasn't aired yet.
