Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Actor Kim Jung Hyun will be starring in his first-ever weekend K-drama.
According to media outlets on March 27, Kim Jung Hyun is officially confirmed to be the main lead of the upcoming KBS weekend K-drama titled Iron Family. The K-drama will premiere after Beauty and Mr. Romantic.
This will be the first time that Kim Jung Hyun will lead a weekend K-drama that usually has a minimum of 50 episodes.
Last year, the actor led the K-drama Kokdu: Season of Deity with Im Soo Hyang, SISTAR's Kim Da Som, Ahn Woo Yeon, Cha Chung Hwa, and Kim In Kwon. He also starred in the action thriller movie Unforgivable.
Aside from Iron Family, there are reports that Kim Jung Hyun will lead the upcoming K-drama The Second Person to Like.
Kim Jung Hyun made his acting debut in 2015. He has been recognized for his solid acting skills through the K-dramas Mr. Queen, Crash Landing on You, Eulachacha Waikiki, School 2017, Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, and more.
Iron Family will showcase the conflict and affection between family members in our modern society. The K-drama will reveal the meaning of family in today's age.
The upcoming weekend K-drama will be helmed by director Sung Joon Hae (Bravo, My Life and Hi! School - Love On).
Writer Seo Sook Hyang who is known for creating the K-dramas Jealousy Incarnate, Wok of Love, Pasta, and the upcoming star-studded series When the Stars Gossip will pen the script for Iron Family. This will also be the reunion of Kim Jung Hyun and the writer. The two previously worked together in the actor's debut K-drama Jealousy Incarnate.
Kim Jung Hyun will portray the role of Seo Kang Joo. He will be the main lead of the story.
According to reports, Iron Family will begin airing this coming September. The K-drama will exclusively air on KBS2. KBS weekend K-dramas usually air at 7:55 PM KST.
