Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
The upcoming KBS drama "Café Minamdang" released its main poster and confirmed its broadcast premiere.
On June 1st KBS released the main poster for the upcoming mystery comedy-drama "Café Minamdang." It was also stated in the poster that the drama will premiere on June 27th.
"Café Minamdang" will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jung Jae Han. The series will revolve around the mysterious happenings going around a former profiler and his colleagues. The drama will also showcase the suspicious cafe named Minamdang and the people who often visit it.
The drama will be directed by Go Jae Hyun ("Crime Puzzle" and "Dinner Mate") and the script will be penned by Park Hye Jin ("The Emperor: Owner of the Mask"). It will be produced by People Story Company, AD406, and Monster Union.
The main poster revealed, it showcased the items that are usually used in fortune-telling shops such as bells, fans, fortune-telling books, and more. The bell on the poster also shines brightly seemingly hinting at spiritual energy in the atmosphere.
Seo In Guk will play the role of Nam Han Joon, a former profiler turned male shaman. Oh Yeon Seo will play the role of Han Jae Hee, a detective in the violent crime group who's not interested in an ongoing case.
Other casts of the drama include Kwak Shi Yang, Kang Mi Na, Kwon Soo Hyun, Jung Ha Joon, and more.
"Café Minamdang" will premiere on June 27th after "Bloody Heart" concludes. The series will be part of KBS' Monday-Tuesday drama timeslot.
This will be the first official drama of Seo In Guk for 2022. He started the year by making a special guest appearance in the drama "Soundtrack #1." He will also join the upcoming MBC series "Smoking Gun."
Meanwhile, this will be the follow-up project of Oh Yeon Seo after the 2021 series "Mad for Each Other." The actress is also set to star in the upcoming film "Apgujeong Report."
