The flaw about this is because half the site uses this format already except for the forums, articles and user login dates compared to MAL watch history (you can even delete specific dates there). I think changing all the dates here to specific timing would be better especially for inbox messages (sorry it's off topic), it gets harder to tell over time when I messaged people since it only says 1 year or 2 years ago especially some of those who I actively chat with more than 10 pages.
