Not as fluffy as expected

Just wanna start by saying that Put Your Head On My Shoulder Chinese adaptation is one of my all-time favorite romcom EVER. With that being said, when I read that it is going to have a Thai version, it went straight to my must-watch list.

I honestly expected it to be as cute as the C-version but when I started this it was quite different. I didn't know until I read the comments that this is an adaptation of the novel and not the drama itself. I also didn't read the novel so I have no idea how faithful it was to the original material. One of the best words to describe the C-version is FLUFF. So I was just kinda hoping it would maintain at least that feel in this version.

It didn't quite met my expectation of the feels. It did have its own charm to it though so I'm still rating it quite high. I would minimize comparison with the C-version here to give this version a little more leeway.

Acting-wise, it was mid. Although I believe with this kind of plot it doesn't need any acting prowess. I am familiar with the casts except for the female lead. New always plays this kind of soft boy roles and he's good at it. But I need to see him somewhere new for a change. I can also see the chemistry between him and Kaimuk. Kaimuk is a beginner and I am willing to give her a pass on her acting this time. Gigi is the weakest link but with the way her character is written, there is really nothing much she can do about it. This is probably the weakest performance of hers in all the works I have watched her in. The chemistry of the whole cast is really good though.

Story-wise, nothing spectacular. There are a lot of filler scenes. I think 20-episodes for this is too much. They spent too much time on Time's arc (pun intended). If his role is to annoy the hell out of people watching this show, then he played his role really well. It would've been more interesting if they went with the bestfriend as the triangle in the love story. Kaimuk's portrayal of Prapai made her look dumb I feel like I'm watching It Started With A Kiss. Tar and Wawa is still a snoozefest like their Chinese counterparts (oh no I did it! lol). Pupaa and Prapai did give us the butterflies of first loves and I think that is what this drama is all about.

Overall, I 'm rating this one above average because I don't want to compare it with anything else. It was a sweet and cute drama on its own. If you want to watch something for fluff, this is not the best out there. But if you have lots of spare time, then give this one a chance.
