Just somewhat average

I felt excited to watch Park Bo Young again in a series, after loving Oh My Ghostess and Strong Girl Bong Soon.

Overall I felt like this series was just average. There are no high points that deserve a special note worthy comment.

The series had a great villain portrayed by Lee Sung Jae, one of the best villain I've seen in kdrama. Without that captivating villain I don't know what would have happened to this series.

It's not bad, but it's not great either. Just somewhere in between.

Some things to like but mostly not

Honestly I don't know why some people like this series. Yes there are a few funny and lovable moments, but overall this series just didn't click with me.

I felt like the main lead was the worst part of this series, one of the strangest male lead characters in a kdrama series I've watched. His hyperbolic and exaggerated characteristics didn't go well down with me. You've been warned.

Jang Na Ra was fine, loved her in the Last Empress. She excellently portrays a vulnerable down-on-her-luck clumsy and mouse like character. If you like Jang Na Ra and haven't seen The Last Empress, I'd recommend that series over Fated to Love You.

I dropped Fated to Love You after 10 episodes, I just wanted to watch something more interesting. I may return to it later, but for now I have more interesting things to watch.

A heartfelt drama about loss and acceptance

Hi Bye, Mama was one of the first K-drama series I watched. It was such a shocker series for me, unlike anything I've seen in western tv series.

The story is just perfect, about loss and reconciliation, acceptance, grief, regret, but also joy. The series has so much heart that I admit that this series made me sob the most, it really touches you.
It makes you truly think about the most painful things people go through, the loss of someone close.

The actors did an amazing job, all of them.

I did not know what I was going to watch when I started watching it, but I'm glad I decided to watch it "blindly".
It still sits in me to this day since I saw it earlier this year.

It's one of my top series to recommend to people, at least people who are open to drama series.

A funny start to something greater

I've watched all the episodes so far twice. That's very rare for me.

Because we're so early in this series the review will be shallow.

The lead actress, Shin Hye Sun, along with Choi Jin Hyuk, just sold me to this series outright. Great actors from My Golden Life and The Last Empress.

So far they're doing a great job, and the other leads are doing well as well, although only a handful of character are developed or developing.

But a series I'd recommend right away for anyone interested in watching something only new.
