When I first read the plot of this drama I thought it wasn't anything special at all but because I was bored I decided to watch the first 2 episodes. After I saw the first 2 episodes I still wasn't into the story so I let it rest for a little while until I heard it will be getting better every ep and it was so true. This is a series that has to grow on you before you really start to like it. Well, that was the case for me. Now it's my favourite Kdrama I can watch over and over again. The story doesn't get boring and you will find new interesting details every time you watch it again.

To bad the production team didn't go for the extention.

This is a movie based on the true story of Mineko Iwasaki who has written a book about her life called "Geisha of Gion" (also known as: Geisha, a Life). If you don't know, that's the book where Arthur Golden based his book "Memoirs of a Geisha" on and later the movie with the same name was based on. Specially if you like that movie you should watch this one too. I like both movies a lot but this movie stays more true to the real story of Mineko Iwasaki. I find the story really interesting and it gives you a good view of how the life of a Geisha is with all it's traditions.
