Loved it a LOT!

Hello Friends,

I am very new to this site. Also, this is my first ever review I am writing as a viewer.

I have just started to watch KDrama. I had heard my friends raving about them. I thought to give it a try. I am glad that I got to see Chocolate as one of my very first KDrama series I started to watch.

The lead characters were perfect for the role of childhood lovers who grew apart to find each other once again, The story is a mature love story told perfectly. The actors do justice to their roles. There are some moments which tend to stir something inside you emotionally and you shed a tear. There are plenty of heart warming moments as well. It is not often that you experience such myriad emotions in a series.

This gem deserves a perfect 10 from my side. As I write this, am wondering if there are any similar series as Chocolate? If not, am watching this again in the near future.

Never watched a more boring drama than this one

Romance lovers keep away from this drama. An egoistic and arrogant ML and a spineless FL who is a stalker as well, keep repeating their acting and the characters never seem to mature or evolve.

The FL despite being humiliated and mocked every now and then, doesn't seem to get offended. She rather supports the attitude of the ML.

I was hoping there would be some romance atleast after the first few episodes but that elusive romance was nowhere to be seen.

Now I am wondering why did I watch this at all. I wished to give this drama 0 but unfortunately the least rating one can give here is 1.

This was one of the first KDrama that I had seen. I had no expectations from this one. I thought why not watch a supernatural Drama for a change and that that was the reason for picking to watch this one.

I wasn't disappointed at all. The first episode kept me hooked. The characters too were interesting. At times I felt there is no chemistry between the lead actors but as the story progresses you understand why it is so. The hero/main male lead is a grim reaper and understandably so he is cold and not acquainted to emotions. He is unknown to show his affections as well. Hence he scoffs at humans when they do something very....humane things like crying, falling for people etc.

Eventually he too gets involved emotionally with the female lead and is ready to destroy his own presence for her! That's so unexpected and you sort of feel bad for the lonely divine being.

The last episode was rushed but am not complaining. Could have watched one or more episodes towards the end, I felt.

Overall, this one is a good watch. Enjoy!

Too slow to endure 20 episodes

First 2 episodes were fast paced. After that it was nothing but dragging the same thing over and over again. Felt like quiting it altogether but forwarded many scenes after 7-8 episodes. Honestly it's not worth watching and 20 episodes seem very long. Flashbacks occur every now and then telling the same thing over a nd over again. I yawned my way to complete this. Totally avoidable.

Another thing that irked me was the fact that both the main characters tend to stay away or hard to get from the other main character at different point of time. One time is a charm, but the same thing becomes irritating if the same trick is shown many times.
