Hit the snooze button on this Love Alarm!

I did watch this all in one day. So maybe that's why I found the story and Kim JoJo's behavior to be so annoying.

I know that she was a college student, but omg she spent all her time thinking about boys and love alarm. I felt like she was just really stringing along Hye-Young and he definitely deserved someone who could definitely say "I LOVE YOU, HYE-YOUNG and I don't need an app for that!" With her Love Alarm shield enabled it completely crippled her ability to think on her own or feel her own emotions. And the way she would second guess herself when she was around Sun Oh was just horrible, in my opinion. I felt really bad for him!

I felt really bad for both of the guys in this show. I just wanted the two of them to ring each others love alarms and be best friends again and ditch Kim Jojo.

She thought so hard about her love alarm and needing it to ring. And then when she used that sword to ring it, I was even more annoyed. I felt like it was lying. Why not just delete the app entirely from her phone and tell Hye Young she loved him, you know? Why use the app to do it. He is the kind of guy who would appreciate that more than her app ringing. I mean his fascintiaton with retro electronics pointed towards him being more old school, right? Also odd that he loved to repair old things and then he still had to ring Kim Jojo's alarm so many times and was tickled when he found out the app said she would love him. What a strange personality.

I felt super sad for Sun Oh. His character just sulked and wallowed in his heart break. He never smiled. And then at the end, when he showed up at that girlfriends apt and said he would basically hang out and force his love alarm to ring for her was super pathetic in my opinion. I wish his character had a better ending than that.

I think I would have enjoyed this series a lot more if the three main characters deleted the app and remained friends. And that they all felt it was necessary to love themselves first. They were so young and should just live life, travel, enjoy new things and meet new people and follow their passions for themselves and not someone else. Learning to live without having to have a boyfriend or girlfriend is possible and actually healthy!

I did enjoy when Kim Jojo went on her marathon run. The scene where she ran to her childhood self had me in tears. I was like "Yes! Love yourself, girl!" and I knew Hye Young would be there and I wish he would have just said "Hey, let's take a break while you sort through your baggage! You do you! Call me in a few years and we'll see if it was meant to be" .

The part with Duk-Gu was confusing. Was he being kept in a coma while his older brother watched him on a camera? Did he escape from being held hostage? What the heck?! It made no sense.

The only slight growth IMO was her cousin, Gul-Mi. I felt that her character went from being this self-absorbed phony to actually realizing the sacrifices others have made for her. So I liked that she started working in her mother's convenience store and gave her mom a break. And how she wanted her mom to do things like join a hiking group with people her age. And when she shielded Kim Jojo from reporters phone calls. Just small things where it showed she was growing as a person and thinking more about other's feelings than her own.

I felt like Duk-Gu gave her that challenge to get hearts on her own in order for her to realize that her actions affect people's feelings. And treating people with kindness come back to you in a positive way.
