Best drama of 2021 so far!
This drama contains all level of emotions, from anger to enjoyment, and the cast never failed to express those.I especially like the fact that there are a lot of plot twists and that these were quite followable.
So in conclusion, this drama is highly recommended if you like a drama that is not too predictable and not so lovey-dovey.
Kudos to the whole cast who convoyed all the emotions very well and especially Lee Seung-gi and Kwon Hwa-woon who had to act as if they were two different persons.

One word: Magnificent.
“No words can describe how magnificent this drama was. It has been ages that I have watched such a brilliant piece of a historical drama.”I adored the entire cast and their brilliant acting and it pains my heart that the drama has ended. The soundtracks were brilliant too and suited every scene in the drama.
I started the drama for Lee Jun Ho but in the end I was blown away by Lee Se Young and her portrayal of Seon Deok Im and Royal Noble Consort Ui.
On the other hand, Lee Jun Ho’s acting was outstanding as well. His expressions were so immense that I could even feel his pain when I watched the drama.

If you love watching a cliche ‘love story’ and a predictable outcome, than this is your drama.
- Why you should not watch the drama:
If you care about character developments and plot twists, than this is simply just not your drama.
Overall opinion: Acting: 10/10, Plot: 1/10, Rewatch value: 1/10, OST: 8/10.

Magnificent
This drama is one of the best that I have watched in 2020 and is definitely a hidden gem. The story, the acting, the OST and the characters developments are phenomenal. Each character is well written, relatable and the acting of the cast is excellent. I absolutely loved each episode and there was not an episode that I did not like at all or felt like it was too draggy. If I should describe this drama with one word, than this would be: Magnificent.Overall the rewatch value of this drama is 10/10.

The messages that the writer wanted to show us
I started True beauty without any expectations. However, this drama has left a deep impression on me and here is why:1) the insecurities and hardships that teenagers have to deal with;
2) how the teenagers are responding to their insecurities and their hardships;
3) what the definition of true beauty really is and the acceptance of it;
4) what the value of true friendship should look like;
5) how to be logical and when to let go if you cannot be with the one you want; and at last but not least
6) how to be confident and not to let go if you are certain about things.
The story is well written and the actors managed to convey all of the above messages. The focus points of this drama was never about the love triangle, but about how to deal with your own insecurities, hardships, value of true friendships and being logical.
Overall: I would say that the story is a 10/10 and the acting is 10/10 as each actor has portrayed their roles really well. The OST's are also a 10/10 and the rewatch value is 10/10.
