I started watching D-Day after seeing Kim Young Kwang act in Pinocchio. The previous and so far only medical K-drama I had seen was a huge disappointment which is why I didn't set my expectations too high.

I'd say it was all thanks to both good pace of action and the actors' incredible chemistry that got me hooked almost right away. Kim Young Kwang's character was completely different from Pinocchio and for me it really seemed like Young Kwang was truly enjoying his character in D-Day. And don't even get me started with Jung So Min. I have a feeling I haven't fell in love with a woman character in this extent before. But the most important thing is the chemistry between the main lead which really shook me!

The balance between action & suspense and humor is really good. The only thing that bothers me is (like with every single 20-episode-k-drama) that in the middle the plot started to drag, but from episode 1-8 and 16-20 the story and pace was on point.

Also the soundtrack BLEW my mind: It was rather like watching a high budget movie than a drama. After finishing the drama I had to listen to every track from the OST and I still can't believe how good work the composers have done with it!

Overall, after almost 6 months, D-day managed to be a K-drama that really got me hooked. It gave me hard time trying to focus on other things like school and even managed to make me cry which felt quite refreshing: For a long time dramas have tried real hard to make me emotional and haven't succeeded. D-day was a real savior and I motivated me to look for more thrilling and moving stories.

Reading the synopsis before watching the actual movie got me kind of confused since I'm not that much into surrealism or fantasy. But since I'm a huge fan of Kang Dong Won, I wanted to give the movie a try.

Although the plot had some pretty childish aspects, in my opinion it still ended up being seriously interesting and original. The visual effects were stunning and so was the filming site. The child actors were amazing - just as always in Asian movies. And loved I Kang Dong Won beforehand or not, after this movie I would anyway.

Although the story was overall very beautiful and enjoyable, especially closer to the end it seemed to me that there were some errors with the story itself. Also I'm not sure if the ending was the best possible, although it could had also been way worse. The music was okey, but didn't really catch my attention.

Would I recommend this movie - I would, as long as you're open to something different!

Thinking back, I don't even know why I chose to start watching Cheese in the Trap: Everything about it seemed so simple and kind of naive, but in the end this series managed to touch me on a very deep emotional level. And oh boy was I wrong about the story being simple.

At first it was details and mysteries around Yoo Jung that caught my interest, but eventually I found myself getting more and more hooked on supporting main roles whose personalities had so much to offer. I was basically having very busy time falling in love with every single main role: They all had their own cute features and flaws and yet surprisingly addictive mysteries and secrets.

In all, the acting was superb (I'm having a serious arising Seo Kang Joon problem) soundtrack was beautiful, clothing was on point (Kim Go Eun could wear a garbage bag and look fashionable), humor was on point and was on a good balance with drama and the story line had way more to give than I expected!
