Great great great, until it isn't...

A Tale of Thousand Stars follows the journey of Tian as he embarks on a path of self-discovery, transitioning from a life of wealth in Bangkok to a small remote village. After receiving Torfun's heart through a transplant, Tian is granted a second chance at life and endeavors to atone for his past misdeeds while carrying on Torfun's legacy in the village, where he encounters Chief Phupha.

I held high expectations for this BL series and was initially drawn to its story. Although the beginning of the show felt a bit slow to me, I understand the necessity of establishing the backstory and introducing the characters. Each episode delivered raw emotions from the characters, and the small romantic gestures often brought a smile to my face. However, despite being described as a BL series, I would label it more as a bromance. While the main characters flirt with each other and it's evident they have feelings for one another, the lack of physical affection, their stubbornness, and the overall plot began to frustrate me as the episodes progressed. It took about seven out of the ten episodes for Tian and Phupha to finally have a private moment together and share their feelings, and even then, it felt like an awkward and brief interaction with no type of intimacy.

The turning point in the series for me was when Tian finally confessed to the villagers that Torfun had passed away, and her heart was transplanted into him. This is when the plot took a drastic turn that started to annoy me. I disliked how the entire village and forest rangers blamed Tian for not disclosing Torfun's death and for receiving her heart. Tian had uprooted his entire life to assist in fulfilling what Torfun had begun in the village, doing everything in his power to repay her for her heart. Despite his efforts, the village turned its back on him in an instant, without providing a proper explanation. Moreover, Tian incorrectly presented himself as the direct cause of Torfun's death, which added to my frustration. Phupha, in particular, preached about not judging a book by its cover, but his initial action was to judge and publicly criticize Tian in front of the entire village, without knowing the full story, and then proceed to act rudely by telling him that he had taken enough from Torfun and should leave.

From that point onward, the story failed to captivate me any further. While I anticipated a redemption arc once everything was clarified, I had already grown tired of the series by that stage. Additionally, the lack of affection or meaningful moments between the main characters left me yearning for more. We were only given occasional intense gazes from across the room and a single kiss. The romantic aspect of the show began to drag, despite there being numerous opportunities for intimate moments that went unexplored.

Aside from the plot, I believe the most significant takeaway from the series was Tian's personal growth. I genuinely appreciated the personal journey he embarked upon and the transformative impact his new life had on him. The story is undeniably inspiring, even if other aspects left much to be desired. A Tale of Thousand Stars is a compelling show that encourages viewers to find inspiration within themselves and undergo personal growth.

Loved every second of this show!

A Boss and a Babe presents the story of Gun, a CEO, and Cher, his intern, as they navigate a scandalous office romance. The show introduces us to a young and optimistic intern who joins a company and encounters an overbearing, rude, and despised boss. As Cher gradually chips away at Gun's tough exterior, their relationship becomes intertwined with scandal, and faces intense criticism for being inappropriate within the office setting.

A Boss and a Babe offers a delightful blend of witty humor and energetic performances from the actors. It certainly doesn't hurt that Force is an attractive individual—I wouldn't mind having him as my boss (lol!). Although I came across some negative reviews regarding the storytelling and writing, I decided to give the show a chance. Some viewers expressed concerns about the boss making sexual advances toward an intern and the power dynamics at play in their relationship. However, after watching the series, I personally didn't find it to be a significant issue and felt that it actually contributed to the overall story.

My focus was primarily on the blossoming relationship between Cher and Gun, which evolved beyond the boundaries of a typical intern-CEO dynamic. They faced numerous challenges, encountered harsh criticism, and were made to feel as though they shouldn't be together. The show provides a refreshing twist on the enemies-to-lovers trope, complemented by witty humor and Cher's tendency to call out the clichés within the BL genre, which had me laughing and smiling throughout. I particularly enjoyed witnessing the progression of Cher and Gun's relationship in each episode, especially towards the end when Cher took charge of his own life to be with the person he loves.

Obsessed from the very first scene!

Love Mechanics immediately captivated me from its very first opening scene. This BL series revolves around the story of two students, Mark and Vee, and their journey from enemies to lovers. The show boasts impressive production value and offers tantalizing scenes that add spice for viewers to savor.

I must acknowledge that this show may not be for everyone due to its toxic elements. However, personally, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Each episode brimmed with drama, leaving me glued to my seat and occasionally shouting at the screen, immersed in frustration with certain characters and desperately hoping for outcomes that aligned with my wishes. I was so engrossed in the initial moments between Mark and Vee that I ended up binge-watching the entire series in a single day.

The actors portraying Mark and Vee deserve commendation for their incredible performances in the show. They exuded confidence and enthusiasm, instantly charming me with their first words.

Love Mechanics delves into various themes, including relationship dynamics, familial tension, infidelity, and the process of healing and reconciliation. While the story may have occasionally ventured into trashy and simplistic territory, I believe the outstanding acting and the remarkable chemistry between Mark and Vee compensated for it in the long run. I would certainly be eager to watch more shows of this nature and recommend Love Mechanics to anyone seeking more mature BL series.

An upbeat and bubbly BL series with amazing music!

My School President is a delightful and adorable BL series that embraces the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. It exudes cheerful humor, introduces lovable characters, and showcases remarkable chemistry between the leads.
With the show being one of the highest-rated on the site and receiving widespread praise, I had high expectations going into it. I eagerly anticipated witnessing the relationship between Tinn and Gun unfold alongside the intriguing plot.

In terms of the plot, it follows a familiar enemies-to-lovers template. The two initially start as rival contenders competing for the school presidency, but as their feelings for each other grow, they can no longer contain their emotions and must confront them. The show did an excellent job of portraying the evolving relationship between the two boys. There were moments where I couldn't help but giggle like a schoolgirl whenever they displayed affection towards each other. However, I must mention that there is a lack of physical intimacy, and we only get a kiss between them during the final moments of the show. Considering their young age, it's understandable that they may not be overly affectionate in a more intimate manner.

One aspect that slightly bothered me and led to a slight reduction in my rating was the abundance of dead space in certain scenes. I often found myself skipping through unnecessary scenes that didn't contribute much to the plot, making the series feel longer than it needed to be. I believe everything could have been accomplished in 10 episodes instead of 12.

One of the highlights of the show for me was the music and the accompanying music videos. I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic music selection. The various music performances throughout the series were incredibly catchy, and I found myself rewatching them multiple times. One of my favorite scenes was in episode 5 when Gun's mother starts singing to him, and each cast member has their own introspective moment, contemplating the next steps. It brought me great joy.

Overall, I adored the two main leads, Gemini and Fourth, and I appreciated the inclusion of the two additional BL couples in the show who also received screen time. It was a nice addition to the series. I would wholeheartedly recommend this upbeat and cheery BL series to anyone in search of a lighthearted watch.

Not Your Average Romeo & Juliet Story!

The story of Pran and Pat is not just about the struggles two people from rival families face when forming a relationship, but also about the strength the relationship gives them to face the challenges life throws at them.

In my opinion, this series has set a remarkable standard for BL Dramas. Everything, from the compelling plot and outstanding acting to the talented cast and captivating OST, comes together to create one of the most amazing stories I've ever seen. It made me laugh, cry, and moved me in various ways. I'm uncertain if anything else I watch from this day forward will be able to compare to the brilliance of Bad Buddy.

The story begins with a classic enemies-to-lovers trope, providing the audience with a backstory of the two main characters. Initially, I expected the series to revolve around the same narrative, but I was pleasantly surprised. By the third episode, I found myself sitting in my room, giggling at my phone like a teenage girl, rooting for Pran and Pan to hurry up and get together.

Although there is a lack of physically intimate scenes compared to other BL series, Bad Buddy compensates for it tenfold by utilizing emotional intimacy to keep us engrossed.

One crucial aspect for me when watching a series is the acting, as some performances can be poor, lacking life and making it seem as if the actors are merely reading the script. However, Bad Buddy immerses me in its world, making me feel like I'm there with them, experiencing all the emotions that Pran and Pat undergo throughout the entire series.

I definitely recommend this series to anyone!
