No dramatic plot line, but I'm here for it?

Okay, so:Mid way through ep 5, it hit me that this isn't your typical supernatural being regular human romance (it took a while I know). DAYS, to me at least, doesn't have the same "threats" as say, Goblin or Tale of the Nine Tailed. Where the FL stumbles across our supernatural ML or is a part of his "destiny" (though you could argue that some plot points in DAYS point to ~fate~).The main focus of DAYS seems to be the inner turmoil of our leads. We can see how this may be the main focus with the lack of a villian (though some characters have tension, I'm more or less talking about that one big bad guy supernatural dramas usually have). Though, that's not to say we won't get one further into the show, I have to say I'm kinda suspicious that we might...So! why am I here for this? well, with no big bad villain, we now have these hour long episodes to see the leads get to know each other and interact in ways that your normal supernatural romance wouldn't have time for. I, personally, am loving this. I can't tell you how many times the romance in other dramas (or any supernatural romance for that matter—drama, book or whatnot) just feels rushed. Or you can see where the writing was trying to lead, but the show just ran out of time to fully flush out the relationship. That's why I'm loving DAYS at the moment, it's a totally new way to approach a supernatural romance (at least this is one of the first times I'm seeing it). The pacing is also very effective. A supernatural romance focused on just the relationship might get old rather quickly, but the progression seems natural enough and the side stories are intriguing enough that I'm happy to go along for the ride rather than wish it would speed up.It is also absolutely amazing to see the chemistry of the two leads. I have such high hopes for the rest of this show!!

WHAT

Okay, first I was a little disappointed that this was a bit of a filler episode...that plus the GIANT cliffhanger at the end?? I want next Sunday to come already! The main thing I got from this ep was Sean's confrontation with Black..and just wow. I had an idea of how I wanted their twin secret to be revealed, so I have to say I was shocked that Sean was the one to find out. I honestly thought White would've told him, but with his inner conflict between his brother and his lover, the way it worked out was true to the characters so I can't help but like how the secret ended up being revealed!!

WOAH

I'm always a sucker for the small (usually insignificant) meeting of the leads when the show had a strangers to lovers romance. It introduces a will-they-won't-they situation through the first episodes that really helps draw the audience in—in my experience. Which this drama has pulled off perfectly, making the moment when the leads do meet (in a rather...significant....way I might add) even more enticing. The chemistry between these two is also really pushing this drama forward, in my opinion. The beginning of this show just leaves you with so many questions about the possible romance between the two that you'll just want to keep watching!Don't even get me started on the OST. Not only is Ailee giving us an amazing (very kdrama-y) song, but the instrumentals are a perfect fit and really add to the dramatics.
